Not fired yet. Just GOING to get fired. xD
I thought I didn't work today and stayed home. My boss called to tell me I did work (I swear to god they changed the schedule on me) and I said I'd come in.
Then I didn't. >_>;;

It's his fault for changing the schedule without informing you >_< I have a similar boss. I worked Tuesday evenings last year, and occasionally when I checked in I would see someone else's name in MY spot. Then I'd ask what this was all about, and the secretary would tell me "oh, that's right, Person X had trouble working (insert time when I have classes to attend) so I switched her to your place and you to hers!" WHAT? Without even ASKING if that's okay with me? I have a life, y'know, with things to do and university classes I can't miss?
Grah. Bosses piss me off sometimes. Learn to organise before opening a business. >_<

Well, I might have looked at it wrong... but I know it said nothing about me working at five. I could've sworn it said 11-3 TOMORROW. But he took down the schedule the last day I was there, and I didn't work yesterday.
Of course, there's no excuse for me not showing up after he called and told me to. e___e
How incredibly inconsiderate... as though you don't have a schedule to keep too. People are so ridiculous.

I... sort of had a panic attack just thinking about it. But I can't explain that to him. :\
I should have, but I avoid things that make me anxious like the plague.
Oh, and you can see your eggs. Go to the view page, highlight the URL bar and hit enter. I have no idea why it works, but it does.

I can understand that, trust me. Still...you won't succeed at anything if you continue to let that fear run your life. It will just get worse. [hugs]

I know. I just don't know how to go about trying to deal with it. I wouldn't even know where to start.

Honestly? The best way to deal with it is do the opposite of what you're inclined to do.
Example:
You feel anxiety about a job interview. You're so worried about.
What you have to do in this situation is try to think about it as less as possible, and just concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other. Concentrate on your outfit, your hair, your makeup, driving, bringing your resume.
Then, when you get there, concentrate on getting out of the car and walking through the door. After that, you really don't have a choice.
It's times like this when you just have to MAKE YOURSELF go the other way.
It's the same thing I had to do in my public speaking class. I hate to give speeches in front of people. I'm so stage shy. But I'd be even MORE shy if I had to go after someone (not to mention someone who was good). So what did I do? I ALWAYS raised my hand first to be the first one who gave a speech. I always spoke up in class. People got so used to me talking and being outspoken that when it came time to give a speech, I was less afraid.
I've been through what you're going through.
I don't know what your situation is like, so I don't know what you have going on in your life. Do you have bills to pay, or something you may want to buy with a paycheck?
For me, I have four main things that keep me going to work (which I highly dislike) and that keeps me looking for a better job. 1. I have a car and high car payments. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my car. 2. I have a Halloween Party coming up that is the highlight of my entire year. I asked off TWO days and know I'll get them if I come to work every day and never call off. 3. I have a cell phone. I need to pay the bill to keep it working. 4. I need car insurance to drive legally. I don't want to get a ticket or arrested for driving without insurance.
Make a list of what is important to you, and concentrate on the LONG TERM....not the short term.

Thank you. I didn't mean to turn the thread into my own life issues thread... xD
Anyway. I find for the little things I can make myself just do them, and I really am trying to get over this.
Building up a tolerance seems to be okay. There are a few things that I've managed to do and now I feel pretty comfortable doing them. But the big stuff is just so incredibly intimidating... I just freak out and run away, then beat myself up over it, then feel discouraged and just run again the next time. It's a vicious cycle.
The only thing keeping me there is the fact that I desperately need the money. My boyfriend could really use the help financially, and I'm just tired of never having any cash at all. I hate being a mooch. It's a good motivator, but this job is freaking miserable. I'm having doubts I'll even last until my first paycheck.

Your job is YOUR responsibility.
That is the beginning and the end of it. I learned that the hard way.
Which is worse, going to work or not getting a paycheck?
The more you can simplify your problem, the easier the decision becomes.
(I have to run to the grocery store. I'll be back later. [hugs again])
EDIT: Also remember this:
Someone else is ALWAYS willing to do the job you aren't. There will always be someone to replace you, so make yourself invaluable.
