But that's part of the fun, LoversEnd. Besides, he couldn't warn us about exactly when the down time was going to be, he didn't even know that. And i could be wrong about it being the [semi]planned downtime, I'm not sure when exactly he plans to release those updates either, I'm just using logic to make an educated guess.
He's been running DC for two years now, and I feel he has the right to do as he likes as long as the site continues to exist for me. He doesn't need those donations and the shop, he's only doing that because he has been asked several times by people who wanted to donate and help support DC.

I'm not ranting about the site being down, I'm ranting about the fact that he is killing off dragons cause they spilled some kind of secret. Well why couldn't he just ask them not to say anything? Instead of putting it in his.. weird code thing and then cut half the message off?

Last time someone spilled the beans on a major secret, people lost dragons. TJ removed all of the zombie dragons after people were overly caviler with the secret of how to get them.

Well, I know, but it seems really immature, he couldn't just come out and say that it was not supposed to happen. That's what I don't get. :\ That's just my opinion though.

the Halloween vampire hatchlings are killing other non-vampire hatchlings. So, people with rare hatchlings with vampires were/are freaking out.

My mom's and my sister's hatchlings, nor any of my frozen hatchlings were affected by the vamps. Nor was Pesky, my silver hatchling that just matured yesterday.

I still think TJ is an immature prat sometimes :P deleting threads with no explanation (IE the whole autumn dragon episode) not posting any news for a month+ and just locking things without saying why

yes i know he takes time out of his day to do this site but considering how popular its gotten there -IS- a point where you gotta buck up and cut the crap and i think its at that point :P

He is still in school, and the autumn dragons were kinda our fault, we killed his dragons and people were posting them around in an attempt to get them sooner. The same thing happened with the skywings, or at least I am told that was the case.
I remember in the vampire dragon announcement, people were saying not to click on them and get the dragon eggs sick and cause them to die.

I realize these things may drive someone crazy, but he is still the administrator of a popular website and he has to realize things like this happens. Its just something you have to accept and deal with maturely D:

School should come first which is why i dont understand that he doesnt alleviate some of his duties onto other people, but i assume its a guy/teenage thing where he wants all the power or something? I dont know, for all i know he could be sweet and nice in person, but he can be a total jackass online. D:

Anywho, to sum it up...no matter what he spews out as an excuse, he is still acting unseemly for someone of his position. There will be more growth for the site and more people will dislike it or attempt to do malicious things if he keeps up his attitude.

He didn't even do what you're claiming he did, Papricka. I was just on the site and one of the mods, whose judgement I trust highly in, said that she didn't think that it was something TJ would do, taking something from the forum to the site. Besides, I think it's just a rumor that it's the vampire dragons actually doing it, because the cut off part of the scroll message isn't known even now.

I was just about to add that I'm pretty sure that was just a rumor. I read elsewhere that the killing off of eggs isn't as widespread as it seems and was probably just a glitch...

Even if it wasn't, I think it's kind of neat. n.n; Granted, if it had killed on e of my rares I'd probably be pretty angry. XD

All I want right now is a working laptop without losing any of the data that is currently on my laptop and a working DC. That is all right now.
Unless I could bring back the dead while I was at it...

I think TJ's response was perfectly appropriate, given the situation. People on the forum are pissing him off (a lot) so he's avoiding the forum. Seems pretty sensible to me; admin or not, he's still human and it's better than exploding and saying something particularly unprofessional.

And he's only 17. To expect him to act as rationally as a 40 year old is ridiculous. >_>

I was in plenty of those threads and i saw his name on the list of who was there, i am pretty sure it was him. but aside from that i have my opinion and you cant change it so i would like to be done with this discussion, its getting pointless.

I dont have one, I knew how to get one as well, I could have forced one from sages scroll and been waiting with the get dragon link to nab it, if I didnt kill it that is, im not sure of the deaths of the eggs or hatchlings, I know I had a sick silver on the kids scroll for no apparent reason, she hatched this morning and was sick an hour later, I hid her of course. I am however used to dc down time, announced down time has never happened to my knowledge However I saw updates coming, but Males breeding was one of those updates, so it stands to reason to have male vamps or any male with a breed command like I saw the site has to go down to install these updates. Last time it was down for more that 3 hours the new dragons came out. All I can say about the silver is thats a huge coincidence she has 3 on her scroll and her new silver isnt well. I havent made to many dragons sick in my time with dc, and her stats were fine so ill wait and see.
