"Even if I knew my way I wouldnt help you." Ryu scoffed at the girl, her ploys just falling on deaf ears and blind eyes. "Im sure those people back there wouldnt mind though." He added, jabbing a thumb back towards the orphanage where everyone stood in a giant cluster. "I on the other hand have things to do." With that Ryu tried to walk around her a cold look on his face. Stupid strangers, howd dare she think hed even stop to give her the time? This whole damn world was just full of useless idiots. The undead might be useless and dumb too but at least they dont ask you for help or backtalk you. Personally Ryu probably preferred their company.

"The strongest beverage you have here, please." Zeke growled, before Izumi had even finished her question. He then glanred at the old lady to make sure that she understood he didn't mean coffee - he meant beer, rum, vodka... anything they had. He wasn't as quaint as Izumi was, and at the moment, he could use some good spirits to loosen up that strange knot inside of his guts. "And a meat pie, if they're anything like how they used to be ten years ago." He added as a last thought.

"Of course... there's cake - would you like the dark chocolate orange cake, or the strawberry one with vanilla icing?" The old lady said as she slowly scripted down their order in neat, slanted cursive. Then her face brightened as the prospect of chatter. "Been through town before?"

"No," Zeke replied hastily, albeit a bit rudely, to end the conversation there with the waitress. He waited until the lady took Izumi's final order and parted from their table before he groaned lightly and scanned her face intently. "You didn't watch her face all that closely, did you? Either that, or you're not too good at reading people." He frowned slightly and tilted his head before continuing.

"It's a small town. She saw the two of us - a boy, a girl, same age, in a bakery - and made a connection."

Izumis nose turned up slightly at Zeke's order. Being the little thing she was, holding such a beverage down had never been possible with her before, not to mention it was absolutely disgusting. "Ah-Strawberry." She said as the lady's attention turned back to her. At this rate Izumi was hoping for a giant slice, maybe its delicious smell could cover up Zekes pungent alcohol.

"that was rude." She said gruffly to Zeke as the lady walked off. "She was just being friendly." Izumi turned towards him, her arms crossed below her chest as she let the warmness of the inside seep into her skin. "What? What was there to read from her?" She asked blinking slowly at Zeke's question. She was simply a kind old lady happy to see customers in the dead of night as far as izumi was concerned.

"Wait..." Izumi said holding up a finger as if to stop Zeke from talking as his words registered in her brain. "She didnt...didnt think that...?" Poor Izumi couldnt even get the question out as a furious blush appeared on her cheeks and she turned away from Zeke again as if by distancing herself the lady might change her mind. "Well thats just other peoples opinions. No need for us to worry." She said still not looking at him.

As he forced the cut open in his hand again and allowed silver droplets of his blood drip quietly into the different dishes he was handling, Orpheus simply nodded at all of the chef's inquiries - to be honest, all of this human babbling was getting on his nerves. He tried to 'be helpful', and handed as many dishes as possible to the trickle of servers that came into the kitchen for the orders.

"Oh eat up, humans... this may very well be one of the last meals that you enjoy in peace." Orpheus whispered as he peered into the common room, couldn't help but to chuckle a bit at the success of his plot. It was almost too easy. He noticed the discomfort of the two Guardians - the two of them! - sitting in the commons and almost bursted out laughing at their confusion. Clearly, they weren't all that experienced. Now there is nothing to worry about, he thought, still pleased as ever, as he retreated further back into the kitchen to help himself out to the raw ingredients waiting to be handled.

He knew that by the time the Nightmare Genes he's feeding these people began to take effect, he would be long gone. The Guardians may realize what has been happening under their nose this entire time by then... but they won't be able to catch him. It was almost a little too sad, now he thought about it, for he had been looking forward to a good fight after all.

As he sniffed the slaughtered chickens with interest, something sharp burst into his senses. He hissed as the familiarity of the feeling, and turned his head sharply. It was a good thing that nobody was looking at him, because for a moment, his image blurred and his eyes glowed eerily with anger. Rose. "What is that cow doing here?" He muttered under his breath, clearly annoyed. Arubeil could not have sent her. She was always to hasty, too easily bored, for her to fit into his own plans. Damn it, it was more likely than anything else that she would give them away in her eagerness to do... something, anything, for Arubeil's attention.

((Ok... So you guys know what is happening... sort of... Basically... Ayu's dragon form is a... middle stage... So... She'll be pretty much inactive from now on. She'll go back to normal after the cycle is done... with explanations. And nobody try to crack this open right now... ok?))

Surprisingly, Ayu just fell asleep on the ground. Her scales were harder now than before...

"wait sir!" Rose grabbed at Ryu's hand and pulled at it with a surprising strength many thought someone like her couldnt posess. "I dont know them though." Of course she didnt know Ryu either and that was besides the point. Besides....Rose glanced back at the group an evident glow of anticipation in her eyes. She might need his help to get closer to those other Guardians. Perhaps killing them wasnt the way to go for now. "Just take me to them please." Rose half whispered into his ear, leaning on him slightly as she still clutched his hand preventing him from continuing to walk.

yes, Arubiel would be quite proud of her if she could get close to them. She doubted any of them were well in tuned with thier powers yet to sense what she really was. There was only one she had doubt about but he didnt appear to be here so so far no worries. And if she got exposed either way, well, she definietly wasnt a weakling.

Ryu looked at her in surprise, unsure of how to act. "Lay off." He finally said, shrugging his shoulders to get her off him but was unable to get her hand to let go. "I dont even know who the hell you are and I dont give a damn about them!" He growled at her, yanking at his hand in disgust. If this girl kept pushing, Ryu would soon be sorely tempted to chop her head off with his own scythe and claim she asked him to do it should he get into trouble with the village.

A frown seemed to appear on Rose's face as Ryu pulled away though it also vanished just as quickly. What a jackass, normally guys not only gave in when seh whispered in their ear but became sheer mush in her hands. Obviously this was the Soul Guardian who had supposedly thrown away his emotions upon his loved ones death. What an idiot. She definietly got a laugh out of it when she and some other Remnants first heard.

"I go by Rose, Hows that?" The Guardian didnt seem rude enough to just leave her so perhaps if she played by his game she could get what she wanted. "Just do me this favor and I promise to leave you be." She added, releasing his hand to flip her hair over her shoulder almost in a flirtatious way. "Please?"

Estelle was relieved that Ayu seemed content to sleep on the ground for now. She looked curiously at the new girl who had tugged on Ryu's hand. This group just kept getting bigger. Perhaps it was one of the townsfolk though.

Hearing her stomach grumble irritably at her, Estelle remembered that she still needed to go get something to eat. She remembered seeing a sign for a place called Mia's or something like that on her way to find a quiet place to practice. Checking to make sure she still had everything, she decided to go try and find it again.

"I'm going to get something to eat" she called at Elizabeth. "I'm starving." She hoped Ayu would be alright where she was.

Ryu sighed, giving her a look that clearly stated how much he really didnt care to help her nor would help her. "You obviously dont seem like the shy type. Have fun." With that Ryu turned around, the hand with the beading connected to his scythe pulling down slightly to make the weapon move as if in warning to the girl. Persistent, pesky women. Ryu growled to himself as he continued on to look for the store hoping now it wasnt too late. He'd make Ayu reimburse him whatever he spends at the place. And it was with that thought a small smile seemed to appear on his face, though since it was so small it could have just been a trick with the lighting.

As Estelle walked off, a slight breeze began to blow through the village. Finally completely fed up with Ryu's behavior, Elizabeth took a deep breath and yelled, "RYU! GET OVER HERE NOW AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR DRAGON PROBLEM YOURSELF!"
Everyone around her winced, her voice painfully amplified by her powers.

Rose wouldve kept arguing and coaxing the Soul Guardian if not for a sudden yell that stopped her dead in her tracks causing the girl to cover her ears. damn that guardian had some lungs on her. But deciding to use it to her advantage, Rose turned and started walking to the goup smiling at the one she passed on the way. She would let two leave, she could just take care of them later. After all, any threat to lord Arubiel needed to be killed. "Hi there." Rose said smiling at the girl who had just been yelling. "Dragon problem?" She voiced a confusion that didnt exist as she glanced between the girl and the sleeping dragon, a look of curiousity on her face. "What did he do? Steal an egg or something?" After all the dragon seemed to still be in its early stages, perhaps near the middle one in fact. But even while it slumbered Rose seemed to feel a lingering power. It couldnt be a dragon was a Guardian...Could it?

Rune remained quiet watching the others. She knew they wouldln't pay attention to her.

Rion saw the Guardians and a familiar face, Rune. "Rune, hey! I missed you! How've ya been?" Rion said. Rion noticed a seductively beautiful woman in the group, he sensed something odd about her, it was so irregular that it poisoned his senses. She's an Undying Remnant, I better not make my move yet. I'll erase that Remnant's existence later. Rion thought.

Rune looked around, "Rion?! Oh, hello! I haven't seen you in so long. Everything is fine with me... what about you?" She smiled weakly. She hadn't expected to see Rion.

Elizabeth looked up at Rune's words.
"Rion! Ayu turned into a dragon hatchling and imprinted on Ryu!" she called.

"Me? Oh I'm, uhm.....saving the world with my new friends. So sis, have ya been eating properly?" Rion said. Rion hasn't call Rune, sis in a long time since he left. "Where've ya been for the past 5 years? Last I remembered you and Ayu left the orphanage, after me and Zeke left." Rion said. "Hoooollllleeeyyyy crap! Ayu! Oh no, I forgot, she's reaching adulthood, in this stage, she reverts back into a baby dragon. But imprinting on Ryu now that's just wrong." Rion said to Elizabeth.

Rose's eyes scanned Rion up and down, immediently realizing he was the one she had been hoping to avoid. Tch, he might just get in the way... Deciding whatever the Gaurdians answer was, it wasnt worth listening to so she instead turned her attention to Rion and Rune and had a face that seemed to say they were clearly the more interesting of people she had ever met.

Rose remained silent at first to see if Rion would expose her but when he didnt a relaxed smile crossed her face. "Hello..." She said simply to see if he would respond. Perhaps Rion didnt even realize who Rose was. Perhaps he was just as slow as the other dim-witted Guardians. Or perhaps he had things up his sleeve too. "Im Rose."

Rune's face went red, she decided to lie to Rion. "Yes... I have been eating perfectly! My brotherr has made the most delicious food. Hmm... the past five years I have been walking around the villages. I miss you all very much."

"Now it's not nice to lie to your brother, Rune!" Rion said playfully. When Rion saw Rose speak he shot a dark look that only she could see. "Hi, Mademoiselle! My name is Rion, Rion Nagase. I don't believe we've met. May I ask why you're here in this village?" Rion said a kind, yet arrogant tone.

Rune blushed, "How do you know that I was lying!"
