Fayne shrugged indifferently, looking around at Mia's. "Other than hunting for espers I doubt that there's really anything I can benefit from by being a Guardian." He personally liked hunt to hunt the espers, but he found everything else a chore. "And after we defeat Arubiel (if we do), then we won't have any other purpose for being a Guardian will we?"

It seemed they all had something to benefit with by helping each other. In which case, who in the group truly did this out of the good will in their heart? "Thats a good way to look at it." He said as he walked through the door and sat down at one of the undamaged tables to wait for one of the servers to come to them. "Bragging rights?"

Fayne walked inside, sitting down and waiting for a waiter to come by. He nodded, thinking about everyone else's reason for wanting to be a Guardian, much less helping Rion. A few of them seemed genuinely wanting to save Terra, but he couldn't be totally sure. For one thing he wasn't. He sighed mentally, looking around. He shrugged at Ryu, drumming his fingers on the table.

[[I guess it's a good thing I left with both of my characters at a stopping point... sort of. The contamination problem isn't cured yet, is it? -been too lazy to read more-]]

Zeke had left before any of the others were up. He woke shortly before dawn and felt weary from the lack of sleep during the night before. A short glance at the mirror showed him that his appearance was in poor shape - his short, pale hair was not much messier than usual, but there were dark circles under his eyes and pale stubbles on his chins. He gruntedly lightly as he eased himself out of bed and began buckling on his armor once again methodically as he let his thoughts drift elsewhere.

What had he been talking about with Estelle the night before? Oh... the ideal of the Guardians, right... Seems a bit philosophical now, doesn't it? He mused as he strapped in his belts, making sure to avoid the soft clinking of the metal blades as he stood and peered out of the window to estimate the time. He glanced at Estelle's sleeping form one last time before he erased his own guarding spell and slipped out of the room. "Heavy sleeper, isn't she?" He murmured with a slight grin on his face. Keeping his steps light, he walked into the stables, where he found his mount ready and the supplies he had requested in a neat stack just outside of the stall.

Zeke sent his horse into a gallop just as he reached the outskirts of the town, past the cemetary. He spared the desolate gravestones a glance as he sped past, wondering if Ryu had indeed succeeded last night in his endeavours. The crisp morning air felt good, Zeke decided, as it flew past his face. Drops of dew gathered on his armor as the sun began to rise, its light shimmering softly off the reflective surfaces. His path took him along the river, and occasionally he had to get off of the road to follow the snaking stream. Evidences of what he feared lay about freely on the banks - the splatters of crystalized blood began to lessen the farther he went from the town and deeper into the woods. A few leagues away he halted, and that was where he saw the dead body. The animal was unrecognizable in death, torn to shreds with bare inches of skin and flesh clinging to its bones. Even from a distance, Zeke could see the crystal lining its remains. "Great... just great." He muttered furiously as he reined his steed around to return to town. The russeling of the bushes behind told him that this time, he had pursuers. They could not match the pace of the horse, though Zeke had a haunch that they would follow his scent back to town. More trouble.

He had thought to go investigate downriver to see how far the influence of the virus, or whatever it was, had spread. Maybe he really should have just saved the job for Rion and his little raggedy bunch of Guardians. He caught a glance of Ryu as he raced past Mia's and immediately stopped the horse as he leapt off of it and half-ran into the resturant. "Hey, you know where Rion is?" He asked briskly, his eyes darting about to search for the shock of blue hair.

It was obvious the longer it took the waiters, the more ticked off Ryu was becoming and he glared at each as they past by the table though it really did not seem to help him and Faynes case, in fact seemed to worsen it. And to add to his dissapointment, the one that did approach him was someone who could not bring food. "We left him waiting on the girls back at the inn." He said, jabbing a thumb in the inns direction though he knew Zeke didnt really need it. "If you see him, tell him to make them hurry up."

Untroubled by thoughts of Arubeil's anger in reaction of such intentionally rebellion from two of his agents, Orpheus teleported away to the sky of Palanthia. With power naturally given to most doers of wrong, he floated there, leagues above the skyline of the ancient city [[not sure how Shigo would stay in his shadow here]]. From where he stood, the people wondering the streets looked to be about the size of pins. The great height gave him another advantage as well - he was able to survey the city without being spotted.

He counted the guards and almost laughed at the numbers holding each position of the city's defense. "They could be easily overtaken in a number of days," he murmured with a smile spreading across his face. Shifting his eyes he found the marketplace, and gave in to the urge to float towards it. Orpheus saw the caravans milling about the parameter of the marketplace and couldn't help but to let out a roaring laugh. "Look!" He pointed at the dozens of horse- and oxen- drawn carts parked in the green, barely able to contain his delight. Beyond them was the harbor where more than fifty ships were docked and loading, some of them barges loaded heavily with goods and others diplomacy and millitary ships. Shouts could be heard as Orpheus and his fellow Nightmare Resonances were spotted by guards down at the dock, but they were too far away for the people at the marketplace to hear...

Elizabeth stretched as she walked down the stairs and into the large common room. Spotting the others, she trotted over to them.
"Good morning," she brightly greeted the other Guardians as she pulled up a chair up for herself. "What's for breakfast? I'm ravenous!"

Caleb appeared above the town of Palanthia, looking down at all the various people with a smirk. How good it felt to be away from that castle. He looked around, his eyes stopping at the harbor where ships were being docked and loaded. What a perfect place to wreck havoc. He brushed a strand of purple hair out of his eye as he looked at a circle of guards. He heard a few shouts by guards, alerting others of his and the other Resonances' presence. And so it starts.

Rion stood still waiting. "Hmmm, I'm glad I met such wonderful and interesting friends. Makes it a little sad once everything is all over." Rion muttered to himself. "Uhm, we should hurry otherwise Ryu will get really upset. And I worry about him. A guy like him is short-tempered, but he is nice when he wants to be." Rion said as his face turned pink. Rion remember the kind words that Ryu told him. "A miracle, huh?" Rion said.

Shigo was blocked off by Orpheus. "Damn! He's in the sky." Shigo said. "I'll just have to rip open a pathway to them." Shigo said plainly.

Now dressed in her usual uniform, Ayu walked out of the room. "So can we leave yet?"

Rose stretched her arms in front of her, her wrists bending as she cracked her fingers and stared down below them. An odd twinkle in her eye seemed to grow as her smirk did. "I think the dock boys want to play." She said happily, quite happy that the marketplace did not give hint to hearing them though either way would have worked for her. "Shall I shut them up?" She asked, a ball of flame enveloping her hand as the wind from thier height whipped her hair around.

The marketplace goers were their target for now, but it did not mean she couldnt have her sailor boys. "Go on, you guys can get started over there. Lets land and have a little fun."

"Eh?" Izumi looked at Rion confusedly as she moved to the side for Elizabeth to join them. Though she didnt know Ryu it was a definate shock to hear he was actually nice. "Miracles are rare." She muttured looking as if she didnt really belive such wonderful things like miracles could affect her. "Well then lets go." The girl had perked up so fast though it was impossible to tell if she was serious.

"Sigh...." Lisa was just laying in Orpheus's room, staring at the mirrors. "I want to be with them..... I could make a portal.... maybe.... But.... That might turn out...bad...."

"Where is Ryu.... Dang it... "

Caleb took out his sword, gazing below him. He twirled it on his wrist, catching it back again as he smirked with malice. The marketplace was well unaware of their presence making it all the more worth it when they tasted his blade. Ah, this was true freedom. He chuckled nodding. "Good plan. Floating's no fun."

Rion looked at the girls. "Good morning, ladies!" Rion said as he winked at the girls. "Sleeped well, girls?" Rion said.

"Yep, just like a rock. You got a plan for today?"

"I wouldnt say good, but it was definietly more then some people." Izumi said, glancing at Ayu with an upraised eyebrow. Anyways Im starved, the last thing I had was cake and tea." She said with a sigh in memory of all the stuff that had happened after that point. "Everyones at Mia's right?"

"Yup, they're at Mia's!" Rion said. "You girls go on ahead, I'll wait for Rune." Rion said.

"Sure, fine... I hope they serve raw meat." Ayu started walking at her normal brisk pace. "Come on Izumi! Before those men eat everything..."

"Cause so many Terrans eat raw meat." izumi said as she hastily hurried after Ayu leaving Rion to take care of Rune. "You know you can get sick from eating that all the time?" She asked worriedly as they exited the inn and for a second the rising sun blinded her.

"By the time it gets to my stomach, it is fully cooked. So no big deal." Fire was coming out of her mouth, licking her skin without leaving a trace. "Dang, guess I'm hungrier than I thought..."

"Thats...kinda...gross." Izumi said though she knew it only seemed gross to her because she wasnt Drakonian. As they entered Mia's Izumi paused to glance around and finally spotted Fayne and Ryu...with Zeke?
Deciding to question why he was still here later, she walked with Ayu over to their table and pulled a couple of chairs over. "Has the waiter come by yet?"

"Judging from Ryu's 'I'm going to kill somebody soon' aura, I don't think so." Ryu sent off waves of hate that pushed back almost everybody else. "He's just throwing a hissy fit." With a evil smirk, Ayu crept up behind him and grabbed his shoulders. "Stop scaring the other people emo prince."
