I'm afraid of going up on a rollercoaster. Yes, going up. Dropping almost straight down toward the ground doesn't bother me a bit. I even throw my hands up in the air and all that junk. But that horrible clickity-clack as the rollercoaster is slowly raised up the hill...yeah, I have to sit there with my eyes closed and a death grip on whatever I can hang onto. As soon as I feel the coaster crest the hill, I'm fine. It's dumb and most of my friends make fun of me for it, and try to get me to let go or open my eyes while we're going up. Evil people, they are. :XD

I also believe I'm starting to develop a fear of thunderstorms. Now, this is strange, because I used to love thunderstorms and, in a way, I still do. There's a certain excitement that comes with the howling wind, the booming thunder, and the flashes of lightning. And even the danger. But I keep having these dreams about tornadoes. I've been having them for about three years, even though I'm not usually watching/reading/or listening to anything about them. Most of the time, these tornadoes in my dreams don't even reach my house, or place that I'm at. And when they do, my family, my pets and I are always okay. (Er...well, sometimes we're a bit cut up and stuff, but we're always alive.) Can't say the same for others though. Anyway, now, whenever a storm comes up, I get super paranoid. I sit out on the porch and wait, watch, and listen. I keep expecting to see a tornado coming. And I know in this place, there's nowhere to hide.

It wasn't always like this, obviously. But starting maybe...the middle of last year, every time a new storm came up, I got just a tiny bit more paranoid than I was before. So far, it hasn't stopped me from enjoying storms, but I'm afraid it will. Some parts of me still want to see a tornado in real life, I'm just terrified that I'll see it when it barrels through my house. ._.;

I have an unreasonable fear about not being able where my feet will land. I can't do pull ups because I can't see where the floor is in proportion to my feet, things like that. Stemming from that is also a huge fear of earthquakes. The thought of the ground disappearing below me is horrible! And stemming from that is a fear of the state of California. I've been on a ton of road trips all over the US, but I will never set foot inside of California. Yeah, it's odd I know. But I know California will sink the second I'm far enough in to not be able to make it back out...

I'm afraid of spiders, people I don't know, being left alone in a strange place, hurting other people, getting hurt, rappers, non prescription drugs, bees, being yelled at, and a few others things that don't come to mind. Now you all know why I'm always online when I'm off work ^^;

I hate heights...especially if there's only a railing between me and the ground.
As long as there are walls surrounding me I'm fine with it...open spaces...not so much.
I used to be scared of going on roller coasters....my best friend helped me conquer that fear though.
I'm afraid of swimming in the ocean...you know the sharks and all pretty much make me panic. I know there's a slim chance of getting attacked by one but....what if I'm that slim percentage? *shudders*
I'm secretly afraid of spiders...the bigger the worst. Of course I've never let on to my family or my sisters. My youngest sister is so scared of them if she sees one she won't go into the room until someone kills it...and she screams really loudly.
I think I'm one of the rarities...I find a spider I freak out on the inside as I calmly on the outside either kill it or grab it and then let it go.
I remember having a spider crawl over my head while I was napping...I freaked out like crazy then. It turned out to be a rather huge wolf spider. *shudder* I grabbed that sucker so fast and then flushed it down the toilet. Poor spider....it didn't ask for a watery death.

I can come up with two fears right away when reading this topic.

Heights- I can't stand them, I can be two feet above the ground and start freaking out. I am simply afraid of heights, exaggeration much? No I hate heights.

Dark- I am not afraid of the dark. I am afraid of whats in the dark. I believe in ghosts, because I believe I was haunted when I was younger. Don't believe in ghosts? Oh well, I do. If I'm walking around outside during night time I always make my self see things in the dark. And I spook myself with sounds, I am not afriad of the dark. Its whats in the dark that spooks me.

So my main fear is basically puppets. You know those puppets on a string. Any puppets really freak me out. I dunno why its because there little people on string? Maybe its the idea of them being controlled by a string and used for anothers amusements? I just seriously cant stand puppets..the ironic thing is i had a puppet in my room it hung there...it was a dog puppet kinda freaky yet it didnt bother me as much as those ones i saw in the museum the other day. Boy those things even moved on there own. Tapping in place...but not being controlled by a person but a machine...boy it creeped me out big time!
So yeah to end it all PUPPETS FREAKING THE CRAP OUT OF ME!

I have a list of things. : D
They are:
Getting my heart broken
Someone I care about dying
The Dark
Elevators [>___> Don't ask.]
Demons
My mind [It thinks about a lot of things.]
People staring at me. o-o; I hate it.
Clowns
Ducks
Creepy Pedophile Stalkers.
Being home alone at night and hearing noises that aren't human noises. [Not including creaking house noises.]
And... >.> If I think of more I'll tell you.
;D
I'm not sure if I'm afraid of heights or not though. o-o;

Ooh, boy, lets see here. For major fears...I fear failure. The thought of ending up some hobo, or living off my parents until they die and then living off the inheritance...*shudder* That just scares me. Badly.
Hell, I've never even failed a class...and the only test I ever failed was my driver's test the first time I took it, and I got DISTURBINGLY depressed after that. Be thankful you weren't around. e_e

I'm also afraid of dying young, due to the above. I want enough time to DO SOMETHING. I'm not afraid of death as a whole...but I can't stand the idea of dying with so much unfinished business.

And I'm afraid of losing the people who matter to me. Who isn't?

As for minor fears...I'm terrified of dolls. e_e Dolls, puppets, ventriloquist dummies...basically anything that falsely resembles a mini-person, with very few exceptions.

I DON'T KNOW what it is about them that freaks me out so much...but they REALLY freak me out. e_e I'm trying to get over this...problem is, I have no idea how.

I don't even remember what started this one. Maybe it was Chucky...maybe it was the time the old doll I had "assaulted" me in my sleep (it flew onto me while I was sleeping, arm hitting my chest, and I could have SWORN I'd put it somewhere where it couldn't have done that...now I realize I probably DIDN'T, but thinking about it still scares me). I know for sure it was worsened when I saw this possessed-looking porcelain doll designed after a fictional character who then killed me in my dreams almost every night...*shudder* But the fact remains that dolls and most of their "relatives" freak me the hell out. D:

I knew a man afraid of ladybugs once. He made the mistake of falling asleep around me and my cousin, and we painted them on his nails.

As for my fears...I have these completely irrational and detailed fear that one day I will return home, and turn on the lights in my room only to find someone reclining in my chair.

I'm also afraid of space travel...o.O

Im afraid of the dark as well, but it's more that I'm afraid that I'll wake up nausious but still think I'm asleep because it's dark and not until I'm about ready to hurl do I wake up and run to the bathroom (Has had very close calls a few times) so I ALWAYS have a nightlight on, though now I think it's just because I'm neurotic or something.

also afraid of large crowds or assemblie were you have to sit and wait for long periods of time, and you HAVE to be there. I seriously almost ran out of my graduation from this one, I just think something's going to go wrong and I wont be able to get out.

and my other major fear is weird worms (tape worm, ring worm) centipedes or millipedes, how they move just creep me out!!!

I'm afraid of multiple things, like not being able to breathe, heights, drowning, not waking up, and weird insects.

Yeh, that's it XD

I have a hideous fear of being severely electrocuted. I always joke and say it's because I'm a water sign (Scorpio). I'm not afraid of fire or anything like that: certainly not drowning, but electricity scares the hell out of me. I've been electrocuted many a time.

I also have a severe dislike of ladybugs. Have you ever been bitten by a ladybug? It hurts. Badly. The past five times I've had a ladybug land on me, I've been bitten. I'm pretty sure they're out to get me.

Vomit.
Even the thought of it makes me tense up in fear.
In choir, last time someone got sick I had to crouch in my seat, clench my fists, close my eyes, and hum my happy calming song to myself.

I wouldn't say I fear bugs, but once I see one I just don't want to be in the room anymore. It could be the most inviting room in the world, but if it's got a spider or something in it, the whole presence of the room is ruined.

Also, natural disasters. Particularly hurricanes, which actually happen where I am. They have a habit of spoiling my summer, especially the year that we had to start going into greek letters to name them all.

I have two fears.

The first is pretty common; it's Arachnophobia. I know exactly why I have it as well, which is lucky since not all people know where phobias come from (since a phobia is an irrational fear).
I was outside as a young girl, between 5-9, and I was outside with my Mother in a cute Summer dress. She was watering the grass and the flowers, and I was just standing around on the driveway. All of a sudden I feel something tickling my leg and I look down. There is a HUGE FUCKING SPIDER crawling up my leg. It's very large, and very hairy. I scream and my mother looks over.
She screams, because she is Arachnophobic and starts freaking out too. She takes the hose and sprays the spider off my leg. The reason I'm Arachnophobic is because my Mother, my parent and Pillar of Strenght and Support, freaked out over a spider. So, because she freaked out I freak out.

The next phobia is REALLY irrational, and strangely specific.
I'm afraid of Aliens, although not all aliens. E.T., Signs, those two movies freaked me out more than most. With the exception of E.T., I have a fear of more human-looking aliens. o.O;; I'm still trying to figure out what happened to make me fear a specific kind of aliens. :p
