The world is a different place, people are being controlled by genetics with mutations in there DNA strands that were beyond imaginable before. Their desire? Peace, order, stability are among such things that are being strived for in this strictly ordered society. There are flaws though, flaws that are attempted to be fixed. The higher classes in the society are essentially created to exist, to be the doctors, the scientists, the lawyers (though mostly unneeded since the change and dumbing down of the lower class to make crimes almost impossible,) and the people who make this society what it is.

The government consists of three families that run it and in those families they each have two children, a boy and a girl, and it is far more vital that the the six children live so that they can carry out the legacy of the families. This is the one flaw. A girl in particular had seemed to be a target to rebellion previously but the attempts at kidnapping her have ceased for the past ten years. She has reached the age of nineteen at this point and her slender form has filled out. She was created to be beautiful, to seduce society into believing whatever she said and whatever her brother said.

Her name? Olivia. She was named for her dark green eyes that seem almost like jewels at moments. Her hair is a dark brown color with what seems like touches of auburn or red. It is worn in a high class fashion that reveals her delicate jaw line and smoothly arched eye brows. There has been news circulating that she was not actually the daughter of the political officials but a god. It is all false. Her appearance was created purely to create an interest from the public eye, chosen by the father and other political officials. Her IQ is above what the lower classes consider normal and her eyesight has been heightened to that of a hawk.

Olivia sits in her room now, reading the pages of a book she's already ready at least twenty times. The intensity of her concentration is seen in the way she furrows her brow, still shocked by the actions of the characters in the book. It is, like all books, a propaganda piece used to convince the citizens that the system works and that without it there would nothing but chaos.

She lifts her head as a sound alerts her, warning her against a possible intrusion. Nothing. The sound has stopped and once again a peace settles over her oom, lavishly decorated to suit her style and appearance. The main colors of the room are rich blues with small dashes of violet colors here and there. The furniture is placed so that if she were to be captured there would be an easy escape route for her, the minor flaw though is it creates a path way for any intruders straight to the window that is opposite the door.

But they had ten years to study not only their objective but her home. Ten long years to train and prepare. Over half of his life Neal had been trained to commit this crime...and even now he didn't feel ready.

His heart pounded as he slid along the other most rim of the house and 5th story. If he fell hes die...or at least wish he did. There was no turning back anymore. They were all that was left that stood against this false image of control that was being Forced onto society. Humans against regulation activists, HARA for short. Considered terrorist in the eyes of the government and the majority of its citizens.
Swallowing hard Neal ran his hand along the overly smooth plaster wall, wishing dearly it had been a rougher brick that he could have held onto. They had already cut the alarm and all that was left was to cut off the only escape route in young Ms Olivias room. Gripping at the edge of a balcony ledge under her window he hauled his weight up to crouch on the slim surface. It was odd that at the very time he was trying to save human genetics he was now cursing that was all he had.

He waited for the Signal, a soft beep went off from the ear piece he had and he held his breath as he listened.

The room above him slowly started to fill with a faintly colored red gas, flowing in from under the now jammed doorway that he comrade had just trapped. The gas wouldn't kill her, just knock her out, and when she inevitably would open this window...thats when they would have to take her. If this failed, ten years would have been for nothing. If they were caught they'd be publicly executed. But even if they did fail now, there cause would continue.

Olivia was unaware of the stranger lurking on the balcony. The sound she'd heard had died so she thought there was no more of a threat. She froze though when a gas started leaking into her room. The color seemed vibrant to her as it slowly filled the room, penetrating the cells of her lungs. She stumbled to the window, feeling her vision fading as she did so, desperately trying to seek some form of cover.

What was it her parents had told her to do in this kind of a situation? Hold her breath, she went to do it but in the process of taking a deep breath she inhaled a large amount of the gases and her lungs began to feel like they were burning, already lacking in oxygen. She managed to unlock the window and open it before her body crumbled to the floor, vision entirely gone and her delicate figure leaned slightly against the window.

Her breathing was soft and almost unnoticeable now and the features of her face seemed strange in the minimal amount of light that came in through the now open window.

Ten years she'd been free of fear, but now that was all gone. Fear seemed to be the only thing left for her at the moment. A maid, an upper class citizen to provide good conversation, though not quite smart enough to realize that she could be in a better place, had began to walk down this hall at this point to inform Olivia of the events that would unfold the next day.

Biting down onto a respirator as the gas still filled the room Neal stood and slid his body over the windowsill, staring for just a moment at the girl on the floor. It was odd, he'd seen her photo so many times in his life but...being this close to her was strange. She had always seemed unreal to him, but here he was now lifting her and holding her body to his chest.
He somehow wanted to apologize to her for all of this, but it was for the greatest good.

A double knock on the wall informed Neal someone was coming and he'd have to hurry. Pulling a small box from his pocket he tossed it on the floor before steadying himself on the ledge out the window. It was times like this he wished he'd been born with wings. Clutching Olivia close to him he closed his eyes as he leaned forward.
Trust in gravity... He repeated the mantra to himself as he plummeted down head over heels to the rapidly approaching ground. With a soft twang he landed into a black fiber net just inches from the ground. Breathing a sigh of comfort that the net had trigged he rolled down to the waiting arms of his comrades.
Handing Olivia off he looked back up at the window he had just come from, the cool glow of a blue light had filled the room.

We are as God made us. We are true man. Beware the huberus of the folly of science. HARA will rise over the false reality. Read a glowing image that projected from the small box Neal had left behind. A little message to welcome the master of the house home when he found his daughter was gone.

The maid had knocked on the door but when a peculiar smell reached her nose she froze. It was the last trick she was hoping they'd pull, take poor Olivia down with them, or maybe it wasn't what she thought it was. She cracked the door open and when she saw that all of the scent was leaving she entered.

She first approached the box that was on the floor, sending the blue rays of light. Upon reading the message she nearly fainted from shock. How would the master of the house take this? Would he speak down to her again as he had done before, well he never really did that, he just told her what to do and she found it in a very polite manner.

She left the room nonetheless and made her way to one of the phones that they had positioned in the house in case a kidnapping attempt were ever to made again. This time of course it had been a kidnapping and not an attempt. She dialed the emergency number and after a few rings the master picked up.

"Sir Isaac," she said. "We have an issue. Olivia is missing. I will go inform her brother in a short time and I'm sure he'll be willing to address the public for you."

"Easy with her!" Neal scolded as Olivia was practically dropped onto a cot in the cell they'd be locking her in. "You can't handle her so roughly!"

"Its not like she'll break Neal." Said another HARA member, Mark. "She was modded tougher then that." The group all nodded as they locked the cell door and fell quite a moment. They...did it. They had one of the councils children! Now..they just had to get her to join them.

"Lets give her some air."
The group all agreed and started off to speak with their leader about the success there night way, but Neal remained behind to watch over her.

What was the material beneath her? It felt strange and rough, something she was quite accustomed to. She wondered why she was having such a realisitc nightmare and then she woke up. She looked around her for a brief moment and let fear seize her completely. she back all the way into the corner where the cot was located and just stared wide eyed at the blank walls. Her mind seemed to be reeling as she tried to recall how she'd gotten her, then she remembered the red fog that had been in her room. She looked confused for a moment and she scooted forward so her feet were on the floor.

Had she been kidnapped? As she tried to think about it she studied the slightly dirty floor. She felt a sligh ache in her back for some reason and her head hurt. She rubbed it slightly and then checked her manicured nails. They were fine at the moment so she was good. Her hair though had been messed up and she tried to fix it but found that it was a useless attempt.

"Did I fall or did I just sit down?" she asked herself softly. "Or maybe some jerk knocked me out. One of those 'original' people who don't have any enhancements. So foolish... can't believe they would not go with the truth and instead go with all those lies and false gods."

"There only false to you because you were taught they were." Neal said calmly on the other side of the bars, watching her from a dark hallway. "...but I was born to that god and to his ways." His mud brown eyes watched her carefully, hoping she wasn't hurt. He wrung his hands together as he watched her, unsure really what to say to her. She was practically royalty to him after all.

"You only think were wrong because you've never see what can be wrought by gods hands alone...we without modification...We're happy..healthy, how can you tell us we're wrong for that? For wanting to stay this way? It's not hurting anyone."
Combing through his dull brown hair he smiled at her softly, his nose looking slightly crooked as though it had been broken long ago and never proper set back into place.

"We just want to live as we are and not be forced to live by your perfect unrealistic standers." He stood and walked to the bars, resting his palm on one of them.
"...your not hurt are you?"

She wasn't really listening all that much but when he asked her the last question she looked up at him. The one thing she never really experienced was someone that actually cared. Her parents were ridged, almost cruel at times, but she knew they loved her. His question was so odd though and it's tone so intriguing. She shook her head and felt a bit dizzy after doing so.

"I'm... okay," she said after a moment. "Just a bit of a headache and my back hurts a tad but it's just an annoying feeling. I wasn't 'created' as you say to be a tough machine, more of a beauty queen."

She loved being a beauty queen though, making sure she always looked her best. She froze slightly as she recalled her hair and tried to fix it again but when she couldn't see herself she gave up and crossed her arms.

"I'm just fine though." A lie of course. She wasn't just fine she was stressed and wanted to have a nice cup of tea but without biscuits since these people probably didn't know how to cook a good meal that wouldn't make you burst at your waist line. She was made to have a fast metabolism though.

Neal noticed her primping and couldn't help but smile, even in front of a dirty rebel she was still worried how she looked. Though maybe it was just to calm herself, something familiar to separate herself from this reality.

"Your not a very good liar you know, thats bad for a future ruler of this country." He laughed again and leaned on the bars more. "I know I wouldn't be fine if I had been stole from my home in the middle of the night..." His smile faltered. "...we arn't going to hurt you Ms. Olivia...we...we just want you to understand, to show you. Out of all the children of the government your the only one we thought it be possible with...Your different from them somehow." He sighed as he tried to phrase his words.

"...even in all your perfections its almost like...I can still see the imperfections that makes you human." Failing to express what he had meant Neal leaned back. "...if you need anything please just ask. We don't have much but we'll try and keep you as comfortable as possible."

Imperfections? How dare he. She stood up suddenly her eyes fixated on him. Teaching her their was? What a dastardly plan. She moved forward towards the door, sure of herself but knowing that she would not be able to escape. If they had gotten her when she was younger it would have worked, but they did not, they had failed those times.

She lunged forward, sticking her arms through the bars and trying to wrap her hands around his throat. She could not reach him though and therefore failed to do what she had intended do. She brought her arms back in a slammed her fists against the door.

"Imperfections?" she hissed at him. "You want to see some imperfections? Then why don't you go look in a bloody mirror. Oh you'll find a lot of imperfections there. Your hair, your nose, you eyes that cannot see as far as they could, your mouth... ever inch of your unholy body is an imperfection. Even your foul words. You and your dirty tricks."

Neal shook his head a little sadly. "... there used to be a saying that the only true perfection in someone was something that wasn't tangible... it was there soul. But when you make a perfect vessel people tend to forget what's on the inside. People forget to be kind, to be selfless, they forget to do the right thing while they pursue a man made ideal of perfect. You may just see waisted potential when you look at me, but all I see in you is the potential to grow and do good, and no matter what you looked like physically I'd see the same."

With her temper shown Neal knew he'd have to careful around her, she very well could kill him if he showed his back to her so to speak. With a small sigh he tucked his hands behind his back and watched Olivia quietly before he realized he never introduced himself.
"...and I'm sure you probably don't care right now but, my names Neal. Its a nice to see you again Ms. Olivia... it's been years hasn't it?"

Not that she probably remembered. It had been ten years ago, with the last attempt to capture her that he had been there. He'd only been twelve at the time but he had been one of the members to sneak into Olivias tutoring sessions. They had only met for a moment where Neal had offered her his hand in hopes she'd follow him. She had been so different back then, her eyes had been so much kinder. She was like a completely different person now.

Olivia froze where she was and turned to look at him. Her expression had changed drastically to something more peaceful and inquiring. It had been a split second though and she had returned to her usual cold look. She slammed her fist up against the door again, making now change in expression as it made a loud bang that seemed to shatter through her cell.

"Why?" she asked. "You looked so kind but you were not what you appeared to be. You're a monster. Every night I lived in horror thinking that you and all your people would come back and take me from my home. It was not till five years later that I quit having nightmares but it wasn't like I could be comfortable at home.

She paced again and when she came back to the door she slammed her fists on the door again. She was hoping to scare him but she had a gut feeling that she wouldn't succeed in that. She sat down finally in the middle of the floor.

"Your going to hurt your hand if you keep beating on things like that." Neal said calmly as he watched her pace like a trapped wild animal. "I know this is stressful for you...but if you stay calm we'll be able to have you stay in a nicer room. You know, one without steel bars? It's not like we want to treat you badly..."
Scratching his neck let his eyes wander down the hallway as footsteps echoed off the concrete walls.

"Sssh she'll hear us if your walk so loudly!" scolded one voice softly, a child's voice.
"...we should be coming down here Allen." Said another hushed voice of a little girl this time.
"You said you wanted to see a princess right?" Said the first again, it sounded like a boy.
"But..daddy will get mad if we go down here." The girl wined.

Neal stepped back out of view from the hallway and around into a small nook that was between the cell door and the wall. So some of the kids had gotten down here then? There must of been a meeting with the adults going on if these two had gone so unnoticed.

As a sandy haired little girl came into view with a ratty old stuffed bunny in her arms she peered ahead at the dimly lit cell. The little boy, whose hair was a bright red color that stuck out in all directions, followed closely behind her.
"See Mary, thats her! Shes the lady from the T.V. The princess from the city"
The little girl shrank back behind the boy. "...w-we should leave Toby." She gripped her rabbit as her voice turned more fearful.

Olivia heard the children before they'd come and she'd stood still for the most part, not facing them. She turned around slowly letting her gaze rest on the boy and the girl that was now hiding behind him. A coy smile came across her lips as she sauntered over to the bars and looked the boy straight in the face.

"I see two little sewer rats came wandering down here," she said. "What did you two eat for dinner? A rotting corpse or your mother?" Her eyes gleamed slightly but then her expression seemed to soften yet again and a frown came across her.

She seemed to be recalling something, her childhood was dismal for the most part but it had been blocked out since she was at least fifteen. She sank down to the ground after a while, leaning against the iron bars, feeling the cold iron against her skin that was revealed by the small of her back. She was thin, a modelesque stature that made her what she was. A nicer place was possible for her and if she was given that she would quite easily escape, she would wait though, fool them into believing that she would side with them and then make a run for it. She had a million stories she could tell the public about how these savages had tied her down and tortured her.

"If your always hiding little girl then you'll be nothing but a whore when you grow up," she said clearly.

The little girl squeezed her rabbit all the tighter as tears started to fill her eyes. "Your not a princess at all!" She accused. "Only a witch would ever say such horrible things to someone! What do you know anyway? My mommy loved me and I love her! Thats more then any stupid modified doll could ever say!" Tears spilled down from her light blue eyes as her voice raised to nearly be yelling.
The little boy pal ed as she raised her voice and pulled on her arm. "Mary calm down!" He hissed as he eyes went back to the hall they had come from.
"No! Its her fault my mommy's dead! It was her nasty monsters that ate her up! Shes the witch that caused it all!"

"Thats enough Mary." Said Neal as he stepped out of his hiding place to kneel and hold the girl against him. "...that wasn't Olivias fault and shes not a witch."

"She is!" The little girl demanded as she clung to his chest and sobbed.
Allen went sheet white when he saw they had been caught and stared dumbly down at the ground.

"Ssh." Neal soothed as he held the girl till her crying calmed to hiccup filled sobs. Stroking her hair he raised his head to give Olivia a disappointed look. "Lets get you two back up stairs." He spoke softly as to not upset Mary again. "I won't tell grandfather that you came down here this time, but don't do it again." Standing he held Mary against his chest with one are and took Allen by hand with the other.
The children were both so young, the boy looked no older then seven and the girl no older then five. Had they been born out here away from the city? The HARA rebels had been around for years and years...just how many generations were taught these beliefs?

Olivia mouth dropped open when she heard that the mother was dead. She went still, almost as if she'd stopped breathing but it was shallow. What was a mother supposed to do anyways? All her's did... well she couldn't remember what her mother did for her at all.

"Wait," Olivia said after a moment. "Tell me what a mother is like? Why do you love her?"

She was hoping they'd listen and comply to her question. She was stone still by now, not a muscle moving. She hated being called a witch, she didn't do anything and she was completely unaware of the beasts that stalked the night. Now she was just frightened of what was out there and that it would get her. The bravery waning as her energy also began to go.

The earliest memory she had was when she was fifteen and had gone off the property because she wanted to explore and see what the lower class people were like. She had been locked in her bedroom for a week, though she had been fed enough to survive and maintain her weight. It had been frightening for the most part, seeing all those people... she wasn't quite sure why she was being punished for it.

Neal paused for a moment. "...we'll talk when I get back." With that he vanished down the dark hallway and was gone for several minutes. When he did return he had a tray of food with him.

Sitting on the floor next to the bars he slid the meal of a vegetable soup with some bread through a slot to Olivia. There was even a small kettle of tea with a cup for her.
"Its not much I'm sure, but its warm and should fill you up." He brought his knees up and he leaned against the bars, back to Olivia.
"...that was harsh what you did to those kids. There just children...you should drag them into this fight already. Not before they can even understand themselves let alone the world." He glanced back to her to see if she was eating or not.

"...you really don't know what its like to have a mother?" It wasn't that surprising, from what he knew she only really saw her parents at special public events. They didn't even live together in the same house.

"No," she admitted, glancing at the food and wondering if it was safe to eat. "I don't even know what love is. I was told it was disease at one point and that it was like anger and would fill you up before destroying you. I was only harsh because I'm not a princess, I hate being called a 'princess' and I certainly hate being called a 'witch.' You know I too also have those things you call feelings and I swear if I have any flaws it's the only one I have."

She was silent after that except for the sound of tea being poured into a glass. She took a sip, finding it more delicious than anything she'd ever had before. It wasn't too sweet but it wasn't too strong. She glanced at the food before picking up the bread and taking a nibble from it. She would be weakened if this wasn't nutritious enough for her, she was used to enhanced food where you didn't need to eat much of it to get full.

Neal laughed softly. "...they may hurt some times, or make us miserable, but life's not worth living if you can't feel anything. Even plants and animals feel things, so why shouldn't we? Whats the point to anything if you can feel no joy or pride from it? Even anger has its place, something I might add you were showing in spades not long ago." Toying with the fraying neck line of his shirt he glanced at her again.

"And I'm sure you know what love is...you just haven't realized thats what its called. Everyone can feel love, its why people are such social creatures. We all desire to care for others and be cared for. Even you." He smiled softly at her as he watched her eat the bread.
"I wasn't sure what sort of food you liked so I brought down something meatless, you strike me as the vegetarian type for some reason, but it might just be that pretty face of yours that makes me think like that. You can't blame the kids for calling you a princess...you most certainly look like you just came out of a story book. And as for a witch...you shouldn't call people names unless you expect to get called them right back."

He chuckled again. "I never thought I'd see you act without proper manners thats for sure...as odd as it sounds it made me a bit happy to know you have a side like that to yourself."

"I'm only like this because the nightmares that I've had for years came true," she admitted. "What would you do if you were taken out of the safety of your home to an unfamiliar place and when you wake up you have a headache and your back hurts. What would you do if someone came up and pointed at you when you were behind bars and said you were 'the princess' that they'd seen on tv. What would you do?"

She just tore into the bread now, ignoring what he'd said about her face being pretty since she'd already gotten that comment a million times in her life time. That thing he'd said about emotions though was digging into her. How could plants have emotions? They've never complained about things. Some beliefs they had. She gave up on eating after a moment since she'd felt sick since she'd woken up and shoved the food back to him, not saying anything else.

She turned around swiftly, almost making no noise and stuck her arm through the bars, wrapping it around it his neck and pulling back. She hated arrogant people and how he was treating her wasn't polite. He seemed like he knew everything. She was unaware of any weaknesses she had and unaware that it might be possible for him to take her down without even touching her.

A soft gasp of surprise left his throat as she pulled back trying to crush his throat. He really hadn't thought she'd do something like this... Not how she had begged to know about a mothers love.
"Don't." He wheezed as he gripped both her arms to pull them back so he could breath. "Don't do this unless you really intend to kill me." He chocked out as he gripped her arms a little tighter. "Don't make me have to hurt you Olivia!"

It was a basic form of physics really, he was a grown adult male of 22 and she was a much smaller female. To his knowledge she had no strength mods but he could be wrong, in which case he was in alot more trouble. But he didn't want to hurt her, he'd always grown up being told never to hit a girl, never make them cry, and even now as one was trying to squeeze the life out of him he was going to hold to that moral.

She was intending to kill him but now that she had the thought in mind a grin passed her lips gently. She squeezed a bit harder but her arm was beginning to hurt from being shoved through the bars. Her hand also hurt from having to grasp onto another bar to keep her choke hold.

"I'll kill you if I have to," she said after a moment. "I don't know if I'll regret it or not but if I do I'll make sure to apologize to those kids for being 'rude' to them." Her arm hurt now and it was like a throbing pain but she was unwilling to let go now. The awkward position madeit worse since she had to have her body fuly up against the bars to keep him like this.

Neals eyes narrowed as Olivia spoke, her intent now obvious with no signs of regret or fear. She was going to kill him. But even if she did it wouldn't do her any good, he didn't have the cell keys so she wouldn't be able to free herself. No all it would do was anger the rest of his community that she would murder one of them so easily.

Neal had two choices now, he could reach back through the bars and slam her head into the metal rods that separated them...or he could try twisting free. He could hurt her badly if he did wrench her head against the cold metal, it was even possible to crack her skull.
Wheezing as she gripped tighter Neal took the second option and gripped above both their heads on the bars.
Since he had his legs bunched up near his chest it was easy to get leverage on the floor and push up along the bars. Using his faltering upper body strength Neal stood, pulling Olivia up suddenly with him. It hadn't been hard with how light weight she was. Twisting his body hard he faced her and panted for air as the pressure had shifted on the back of his neck allowing him to breath.
"Listen to me." He hissed as anger had entered his eyes. "I don't want to hurt you. but you are making that choice very difficult on me. Now either you let go of me now, or I will retaliate, lady or not."

"Why do you care anyways?" se hissed still holding onto him. She wasn't sure if she could hold onto him lie this and being so cloe to him made her uncomfortable. She couldn't kill at the moment, even if she wanted to.

"I'm just a hostage," she said getting up in his face slightly. She was shorter than him so she was at a disadvantage at the moment since her am was in an even more awkward position. She unwilling to let go at the moment even if it meant she would get hurt.
