"look, you're a good friend, and i'll always be here for you" he couldnt help but allow a small grin pass over his lips "i couldnt stand the thought of losing you, and it was ironic, i hoped that somday you would pick up on that" he didnt know what exactly to say, or whether he should keep talking or not.

She laughed a little at the irony. It wasn't a very joyful laugh, but it was as good as it got these days for her.
"Good thing you turned back, then," she said. "I'd have never picked up on that if I didn't have the slightest clue that you weren't really a squirrel. Geez, I'm dense..." She shook her head. "And all those crazy things I've told you... eh, oh well. You've seen me at my worst and you're still here, right? So no point dwelling on it. Let's get moving and hopefully find something to eat."

he nodded then smiled widely "but i'm glad that you decided to put your trust in me" when he spoke his eyes took on a softer tone to them

"Trust? Yeah... I suppose so," she said, and then turned and started to head down the beach again.

(huh, well, I'm running a little low on ideas with these two, probably more will happen when they actually get to a town, you know? I dunno... I'm also getting too tired to think, so this is my last post for the night. G'night :) )

the two walked in silence for a few minutes before he fell into a violent sneezing fit, he laughed and continued this for another minute before gasping for air

Allene didn't realize she had drifted off to sleep until she was waking up again, her body sore from the hard floor, while a head ache that made her want to vomit crashed down on her head. She stood and walked to the bathroom washed her face, then her body convulsed and she knew something was wrong. Stumbling out of the bathroom she made it to the bed, "Kirin... Please..." her voice came out in a faint whisper inspite of herself trying to scream for help. She fell forward over the bed and everything seemed to dance infront of her eyes, the darkness was no longer dark, but filled with colors that skimmed over the surface of everything and shapes like fireflies floated all around the room. She felt like she had been drugged, but she couldn't remember... she didn't know... anything. Her eyes fell shut and one last word fell from her lips... "Kirin..."

((Yeah...I'm just gonna get out of the way and find somewhere to sleep. Better than burning to death or something. x_x I need to find a new 'staff' anyway.))


Yuni wasn't really sure how long she had kept herself moving forward, she had been concentrating too heavily on just getting away from ground zero. It could have been only a minute, or it could have been far, far longer. She didn't know, and quite frankly, she didn't really care.
She no longer felt the heat of destructive fires washing over and around her, and the cracking of flame was distant, if she even truly heard it at all. That much was welcome, though she was beginning to regret being away from the warmth; she felt chilled to her very marrow.
She stumbled over something, but without the aid of glasses, she couldn't tell what it was. It didn't move, so at least it wasn't some sort of living predator. Yuni kept going for a few more feet, her legs trembling with shock and weariness.
Tripping over something once more, Yuni let herself fall to her knees. Her fingers brushed up against what could only be a tree root, still attached to a living tree.

Well, this was as good a place as any. Sighing, Yuni rocked back on her heels until she was upright, then slowly maneuvered herself around until she felt rough bark at her back. Shifting so that the left side of her back wasn't touching anything, so that the thing embedded in it wouldn't get shoved in deeper, Yuni settled herself at the base of the tree. She curled up as best she was able, trying to warm herself as her eyes closed, and she settled in for the 'long haul'.

(lol...we're desperate for plot with those two...)

Niniel turned to look at him, obvously concerned. "You ok?" she asked. "I hope you aren't allergic to me..." she sarcastically joked.

((G'ahhh!!! i agree and that's the sad part Lol))

"nah" he shook his head and shifted back into his squirrel form. This way they could move faster and hopefully get to town quicker. He squeaked a few times before jumping up onto her shoulder and resting there for a while.

"Tired of walking already?..." she asked, and then shook her head. "You know it's not quite the same as before... just don't go scampering or anything..."
She sighed and continued on her way. At least in squirrel form she wouldn't have to worry about finding as much food. She did manage to find some berries and such, feeling strange going hunting with him around, and making a fire to cook just being too much of a hassle.
Eventually they came upon a tiny seaside village.

He then shifted into a small cat, purring and pawing at her every so often, he was trying to get her to smile, but seemed to have failed.

(erm, lets just say it's a random little town too small for the map o.o; )
(Oh, and sorry Niniel is so much more of a darker character than Emi...)

She looked at him. "Sorry I left you whenever I went into towns before," she said. "I'll leave it up to you this time... you want to come?"

((nah it's okay! i know she's darker but that's what makes it fun, and i think it's best not to use actual places sometimes))

He jumped down from her shoulder, stared up into her eyes and shifted back into his human exterior "well absolutely, i'm not letting you go anywhere alone again" as he spoke his face held a grin

Odette had been flying non stop for a while. She couldn't even remember how long it had been. Just a little ways from headquarters, she stopped and slept for the night, she would need all the sleep she could get for the journey ahead of her. Finally, she arrived at headquarters wiht a firm plan in mind. She could not, would not take this any longer. She allowed the guards to escort her to the Boss's chamber. He sat, fiddling with a small switch. As he flipped it back and forth, the pain surged and ebbed. When he saw her, her flipped it off one last time. Then, he asked her about her information, what she'd collected. In response, Odette crossed the room and pulled out her sai, plunging it deep into his heart. She knew her plan had only worked because he never suspected her to cross him. She had been his loyal servant for years. She pulled her sai out of the man and picked up the switch. Well, at least she didn't have to search for that. She set it on the table and stabbed it, too. It sparked and crackled. Not sure of whether it was done for or not, she stuffed it in her pocket and strode to the window. The boss's chamber was one of the only chambers with windows. She pushed it open, shifted, and flew away. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew it needed to be far away before the guards found her. She was thankful for the little bit of sleep she got before coming into headquarters. As she flew, she marveled at how smoothly her operation went, things that only happened in comic books. And even in the comic books the hero, or was she the villian, didn't get it that easily.

On she flew.

"Very well, then," she said, and then continued into the town. It was a very small village, a typical seaside fishing village. As she looked around, she saw mostly neutral races, but there were a few greaters and lessers there as well. She figured that the neutral races must keep the others in line.

Night didnt notice any of the greaters and lessers, all he could notice was the beautiful jewlery displayed in certain windows then the smells of food wahing through the air. His stomach lightly growled as he enjoyed the different scents that filled the town

"Hungry?" she asked as she pulled out her little coin purse. Looking in it, she said, "Well, I have enough for a little food... I'm going to need to get a job sometime, though." She sighed. It was frustrating that she didn't really have many marketable skills. Oh, she could cook and sew and do other domestic things fine enough for her and Galen, but not well enough to get paid for it. She had been a homemaker, and eventually was going to be a 'stay at home mom,' but they had not been able to have kids before he died. She shook her head, trying to rid her mind of such sad thoughts. This life she had now, the way the world was now, this was not a world to bring children into.

he nodded to her question then rubbed the back of his head "yeah.. kinda"

"i used to have a job here before i was shipped out to war" he chuckled nervously, hopeing the shop keeper of a small inn kept his position open "it's around the corner i think"

[Im gonna change my color, so we dont get confused and all that. Odettes thing will now be purple. No one is using purple, right? If so, tell me.]

Odette was dozing off. Her wings clipped the trees as she got lower and lower. She jerked awake after hitting a few trees. Man, I must be really tired, she thought. She landed in a tree to sleep and regain her strength. She nestled her head under her wing and immediately fell asleep.

Niniel gave him a strange look. "You mean you've lived here before?" she asked, and looked a bit thoughtful. "That must have been before you came to Elsic then..."

"Yeah" his voice seemed to trail off when he looked at a small child, the boy giggled and ran about then eventually made his way back to his mother. He knew her, it was one of his old girlfriends, the one that left him when the war began, after he enlisted in the armed forced.

Night shook his head, grabbed Niniel's hand and quickly pulled her off towards the inn "Gilbert?" he called out, and in response to the name, an elderly looking man peaked up from behind the desk "Yes.. oh lord, Night? You're alive!?"
Night pressed a hand to the back of his head then nodded shyly

Niniel followed him into the inn, and wondered at his rush. She figured he must be hungrier than he was letting on. The man behind the counter seemed to know Night, so maybe things were getting better. She waited quietly and watched them interact.

"Oh thank goodness!" the man exclaimed "we all thought that you were.. well you know" he shrugged and looked back at the woman, sunk deep into his skin then stared back at Gilbert "are you here for food or to reclaim your job?" he asked rather happily

Night blinked then smiled widely "um both but food first, this is Niniel, Niniel this is Gilbert, he knew Galen too, i didnt grow up here but i might as well have"

Niniel nodded to Gilbert and gave him a little smile. She'd known that Galen had done some travelling in his younger days, so it wasn't too much of a surprise that the innkeeper knew him.

Night sighed then brought a smile to his face when he watched Gilbert lead them to a table "today will be free of charge, i know you two would have little money, since it's a long travel from where you came from to here" once he had started talking, Night took notice to his thick irish accent "i'll pay you back whether you want me to or not" he chuckled and sat down after they reached the correct table.
