"i'm sure i'm awake" he said with a playful tone to this voice.
Levi slowly rubbed at his eyes before letting out a long dragging yawn escape from him "sure, you can talk to me about anything" he said with a small chuckle followed soon after. He wasnt completely awake, but, just enough to keep him from collapsing onto the floor

Craven smiled crookedly. She really doesn't know me... following me leads to trouble... "Alright, then I say we head north. I've got a few acquaintances that might be able to help you with information and a few that might have some fun new toys." he winked and cast a glance over his shoulder to the town behind them now. "One question, how would you like to travel? Train, plane, car, or wing and paw?" he said refering to his wolf form and her bird one.

[[ by the way, where the heck are we? alls I know is that we are probably in greater territory, and even that I'm not too sure of. Craven could have traveled a long ways and Odette could be anywhere with that whole door trick. So, please where is we? >_<]]

"Ok," she said and took a breath, still trying to figure out how to tell him. "Well, like I said, today is my last day off, so my boss will probably be contacting me tonight. I hope that he does let you come with me, but there is a chance that he won't. There's even a chance that he'll try to keep you from following me." She looked kind of sad and worried and she got real close to him and whispered, "When I said that he might force me to do things, I mean that he really can and it won't be obvious. It's like I'm his puppet. Does that make sense? I'm so afraid of what he might make me do to keep you from following me if he doesn't want you to come along with me."

he nodded shyly unsure if her boss was truely someone to trust "i understand" he said in a warm tone, he knew maybe someday they would meet again, he hoped his feeling was right when he leaned in and gently wrapped his arms around Emi "so he might even go so far as to try and have you fake your own death?"

She held him back and leaned her head against his chest. "I don't know, but it is a possibility," she said softly. "And there is no try about it. If he wants me to do it, I have to. I told you before that I'd explain what it is about fairies... if you know a fairy's whole, true name, you can totally control them. It's more than just forcing me to do something wth a death threat, and I can't control it at all. He only ever uses it when one of us starts doing things that he doesn't want us to do..." She sighed. "I don't know if he will do it or not, and I don't know what he would make me do. I really do hope that you can come and that he won't force me to do anything, but I really don't know."

He nodded then blushed, feeling her head against his chest. He knew his heart began to race, but, why would he hide it? he knew that her boss wasnt a trust worthy man, and vowed, that if he seperated the two, he'd go after her boss "i see.. But, why would he do this? Isnt a boss supposed to be nice and understanding..?"

"Hm, I wish," she said. "The thing is that I do still believe in what I'm doing. If I somehow found a way to quit, I'd not be able to do it again. So I just have to keep doing what I'm told and hope that I don't make my boss angry. He says that he only uses this... power over me when he says it's necessary, and it's been many years since he last did it, so it's not really that bad I guess." She held him a bit closer. "Like I said, maybe he won't do it. I just wanted to tell you about this just in case he does."

"thank you for telling me" he smiled widely then sighed softly, greatful she had told him this "i just hope that, you wont have to leave until tomorrow.. it would only be fair" once he spoke, his cheeks turned a deep shade of crimson.

Soon after he blushed, his stomach churned and growled "so.. i dont mean to change the subject but, are you hungry?"

[I don't know where we are at all. Odette doesn't know the lay of the Greater Lands, and neither do I. Wait, she's a spy, she should know. Well then. I don't know, you can just name a place.]

Odette waved her hand in front of her. "North it is, then. Um, I don't really care how we travel," she looked at Craven as an idea came to her mind. But she didn't really want to search for the vampire alone and Craven made good company, so she said, "You know, Craven, you'll have no way of catching me if I take to the sky."

She smiled a bit. "That's fine," she said, "That's what the subject was before I changed it anyway. And I agree, I hope I don't have to leave until morning either if you can't come along."

Levi nodded and slowly let go of her, he still seemed tired but was able to slink away to the kitchen. He wasnt depressed but he was indeed very upset by this.

He turned the button to the stove to turn it on, he chuckled softly and peaked his head out of the room and looked at emi "what would you like to eat, i'm making pancakes, would you like the same or something different?" Levi chuckled rather nervously, he wasnt the type of person to cook around other people, so, why Emi? he couldnt quite understand it, but, decided to cook her a fantastic meal before she had to leave.

She followed him to the kitchen. "Sure, pancakes sounds fine," she said. "And try not to worry about it too much... If you can come with me, it'd be worrying for nothing, and if you can't, well, let's just try to enjoy the time we have left together."
It was a bit odd that she was suggesting not to worry, but she didn't like seeing him down like this. She would have waited to have talked with him about everything, but she didn't know when her boss would call.

"The best I could find for an area would be to head for Border City. If we reach it we could wait around for sunset, a group of vampires live around there, so that would be best..." Lland wasn't sure how reliable her source was. There was always a chance it was bad, but there was nothing wrong with gambling at this point. They either would or wouldn't make it in time, and no matter what it was all to likely they wouldn't. Not like Lland really cared, this child made no difference to her, and it could go kill whatever it wanted. "We as might as well head there, it may take a while on foot, but we could rent something as well."

Niniel nodded. "It's more info than I managed to get," she admitted, "So we might as well head there. Doesn't matter how we get there to me, either, and I don't really know where it is, so lead the way."
She really felt at a disadvantage overall, having to chase down vampires. Kind of an ironic thing, her hunting vampires when vampires had been known to take elves as prey. At least she wouldn't feel too much remorse at killing a vampire baby, she thought. It may be a child, but it was still a vampire.

he nodded then smiled softly, walking towards her he handed her a fresh slice of cantaloupe and allowed a care-free expression slide onto his face "that was grown in the backyard" he chuckled softly and heard the timer on the stove go off, he knew that it was about time for the glass-top stove-top to finally heat up. He placed a buttered-pan atop the correct burner and soon after, he placed the pancake batter onto it in medium sized circles "would you like strawberries or blueberries on them?"

She began to munch at the cantaloupe and looked up. "Hm?" she asked. "Oh, strawberries would be great." She grinned a bit at him, glad that he seemed to have lightened up a bit. "So, who taught you how to cook?" she asked, a little curious.

"my grandmother" he smiled and continued to cook, but, after the pancakes were finished, he added the strawberries she requested and sliced them in halves then showered the breakfast food with them "would you like syrup too?" when he asked this he set it onto the table along with some powdered sugar "when i was about six years old i took up an interest in cooking after having watched my grandmother make a few meals for me and the family, no one else knows i cook" he almost seemed unsure about showing her this, but, he somehow seemed comfortable in the same sense, he knew she would never betray him unless she had to

Emi took a little of the syrup and poured it on her pancakes.
"Mm, well, you do it well," she commented as she began to eat it. "And don't worry, I won't tell anyone else. Your secret's safe with me." She smiled and continued to eat.
"My mom taught me to cook," she said after a bit. "She had a lot of time to do things like that when me and my brothers and sisters were growing up." She looked thoughtful as she was talking. "She was allowed to quit the business when she married my dad... probably because they figured they'd gain more employees throught letting her have kids, you know." She thought that it was crazy the way the government thought like that, in numbers and such. "Well, I guess it worked, hm? But it was nice to always have her around while I was growing up."

"yeah.." he smiled when he heard marriage had been mentioned, but, frowned when he heard her say the government wanted to basically own the children "long ago the government hunted me down since i am of a rare blood line. You know, dragon and vampire mix?" he chuckled then sighed "it was of my own stupidity, but, father thought it was a better way for me to toughen myself out, and basically, when grandmother was killed, i said good-bye to my family and left" he let out a soft chuckle before staring over at her "thank you for the compliment" he bowed slightly, and finished his pancakes, turning the stove off and placing the pan into the sink after placing the food on a plate for himself.

Levi sat at the table across from Emi, lightly sprinkled powdered sugar atop his bare pancakes and added a light mixture of blueberries and strawberries "you really like it?" he seemed rather curious, but yet relieved "thank you, i was teased by the other boys during my middle school years because i did enjoy cooking, but, they're all dead, unmarried and rotting in the earth while i remain living" he chuckled lightly at these dark thoughts and continued to eat.

Emi nodded. "Yeah, it's good," she reassured him. She was a bit confused about his past, thinking it must have been very complicated when he left home. She sighed and gave up trying to understand. It wasn't really that important anyway.
She laughed a little at his comment about the other boys. "I suppose you do have one up on them now, being alive and all," she said. "You literally get to laugh last, you know?" She finished up her pancakes and carried her plate over to the sink.

"yeah, see, this town was very screwy and yeah.." he wanted to explain but decided it was best if he didnt. He let out a light chuckle and stuffed the last pancake into his mouth.

He had several reasons as to why he left, and the government issue was one of them, he had rebelled at a young age, and since his mother was a worker for it, they were always after him. He couldnt quite understand it, and yet, he was thankful that in his journies he met Emi.

He walked over to the sink and placed his dishes in with hers, he chuckled lightly and washed them both, all while chewing his food, after he swallowed he smiled widely "yeah, i definately get the last laugh, and i'm glad"

She walked up behind him and lightly wrapped her arms around him while he worked.
"Me too," she said. "I'm glad you're still here." She smiled a bit, she had figured out something. "You know, even if we do get split up, despite all the pain that would cause, I'm still glad I met you. I don't regret that at all."

he blushed lightly and turned around, holding her in a loving embrace then whispered to her "just remember the phone i gave you" he grinned widely then kissed the center of her forehead "i'm glad that we met.. honestly, now i know that there are kind people in the world" his words seemed sweet but yet, shy.

Levi felt uncomfortable about falling into such a habit, but, couldnt complain about it, he did enjoy the feeling of having a young woman near him, one that wouldnt run from him scared, that had accepted him for him

She looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah, they're just harder to find nowadays," she said, and her expression fell slightly. "This war... it changes people, you know." She shook her head. "But it's necessary." She shrugged and then smiled again. "And don't worry, I won't forget your little gift, and I won't forget about you." She still wished that he could come with her, but it was better to treat it like he wasn't and then have the possibility of being pleasantly surprised.

he smiled lightly and widely before tilting his head before allowing the smile to fade "i know what you mean.. and i will never forget about you" when he spoke, he leaned in close to her, nearly enclosing the space between them and catching her lips in a gentle kiss, but, instead he pulled back once more. Why would he ruin such a beautiful moment so soon? he saw no need to do so just yet.
