Asia blushed a bit. "Ah, yes... common misconception... probably came from some nearsighted sailors who saw some of my sisters riding on dolphins or whatnot," she explained. "Imagine how inconvenient one would be if you wanted to come on board a ship or go onto land for a little while.... Oh, yes, well, I'm just fascinated with ships. Different races build them differently and designs have changed over the years, so I just came on board out of curiousity." She eyed the sailor who had accused her of being a stowaway and he looked away. "Normally sailors don't mind having one of us aboard. Brings good luck, you know?"

"ahh, I see. " he nodded. "You think you could give me some luck?" he chuckled. "It seems every where I go I'm getting in more trouble. " it was a partial joke, but not really. He really was getting in trouble everywhere he went.
Craven smiled. "I see."

She eyed Niel curiously. "I'm afraid it doesn't work like that... by luck, it's more like 'the ship won't sink' kind of thing. I only have control over the sea, and very little at that," she said. "It's more like Daddy sees me on board and decides not to sink it, kind of thing. Why? What kind of trouble are you in, Neil?"

Faul realized he had been spotted, and probably rather earlier into their pointless conversation. "Hello, friend. Lady of the sea." He greeted her with a nod of the head. "My friend would be honored you ride his vessel." He then leaned on a pile of boards, gesturing for them to continue what they where saying.

He nodded. "Ahh, well thats too bad. Guess it'll all work out in the end." he sighed looking at Faul. "So Asia, thats a lovely name by the by, whats it like where you come from?"
[[I'm so brain dead, everything is so silly and stilted with my characters, I'm really sorry folks.]]
Craven shook his head and gave up the notion. He looked out over the park, so many people playing, having fun, or walking dogs or just wlaking. He ran straight out at a tree and leapt from branch to branch until he was as high as he could get on steady limbs. About fifteen feet from the ground he looked around. "Its lovely here, come and see!"

(five? Oh, I'm so sorry! D: )
(That's fine, Sim. I'm sure my character seems like quite the airhead at the moment. My tiredness is getting to my brain XD)
Asia grinned at Niel, "Very wet," she said with a little giggle. Of course it was very wet. "It's actually very pretty down there in the lighter areas, you know, colorful fish and coral and such. Have you ever shifted into a fish?"
She waved a little at Faul. "Oh, does your friend own this ship?" she asked the dragon. "If so, you must be sure to tell him what a fine vessel it is," she said with a smile. She did think it was a nice ship, sure it had been through a lot but she thought it gave it a nice charm of some sort.

(wow O.o I remember when I was in High School, I had to get up at 6 because we had an hour long bus ride to school... the only people I knew that got up earlier than me were the farmers. Do you have to milk the goats before going to school? Oh, goodness, I'm getting silly and a bit out of hand. Sorry if it bothers you at all, I don't mean to offend)

Neil smiled. "I mostly stick to land, water and I don't get along well." he explained, his expression still a little green.
[[heh thanks for the fogiveness Morwyn.]]
Craven reached out and lifted one of Odette's wings. "Nice feathers." he said still smiling a little. Then gently replaced it. "Its nice up here isn't it?"

[No, I have to go to church. Im mormon, we have an extra class at 6:30 and it takes me a while to get ready because im not fully awake. My ma lived on a farm and she had to get up at 4 every day to change sprinklers and crap like taht. im not offended.]
Odette pecked at his hand for touching her feather. That hurt. She tried to give him her hawk death glare taht she'd been working on for a while. She wondered if it worked.

(ah, ok, that makes sense. I suppose there are also those people out there who just love to get up before dawn too, though. I'm definitely not one of those XD)
"Ah, well, that's unfortunate," she said, and the ship began to rock a little less as she noticed his expression. "You must have a good reason for this voyage, then," she assumed.
(Ok, I think that's it for me. Goodnight, all :D )
(EDITED)
Niniel continued to wander the streets on the Neutral side of Border City, and she was getting tired, hungry, and really discouraged. No one seemed interested in helping an elf. She eventually just sat down on a bench near the park and sighed. What am I going to do? she worried. It's still awhile until I'm supposed to meet Lland, but I'm floundering here. I've got info, but what good is that in this state I'm in?

The quiet bubbling of a pot could be heard, as though something were cooking in the dull room of this apothecary's study. He seemed to be cooking a stew.... something to eat.... the faint smell of leaves escaping it as the nearly middle aged man took heavy steps through the room of his pharmacy. He was behind the counter.... in the back room where all of his personal belongings were, and he appeared as though something very grave had recently happened.... although this was not an uncommon look for Ellios Orion.
Mr. Orion.... as the children called him due to respect. Was a well known doctor in Border City, he had healed many a person, deciding to stay out of the conflict due to personal issues, and it was quite a benefit to the city that he did, as he found himself treating many adventurers who decided that they would be people who could take on the real world. Often coming back to stay in town for good.
He did not mind this task, as he enjoyed the happy faces of people as they came in to see him.... it had been a good year despite still having a heavy heart over the loss of his parents.... but he had a personal wish to get over this.... and when he made the wish.... he never gave up on it.... so today... he continues his work.... helping those who desperately need him.... but at the moment... he was cooking up something for personal use.

(hehe, that's fun XD just curious, what race is your character? I know that sounds racist >.> but it matters what side you're on in this rp, if that makes sense.)
Niniel smelled a delicious aroma drifting through the air, and it made her stomach growl hungrily at her. She followed her nose a bit and noticed it coming from a nearby house belonging to a doctor. Hm.. that's interesting, she thought. Don't think I've tried asking for help here yet, and doctors are supposed to help people, right? She was getting hungry and rather desparate, so she decided she might as well try. She knocked tenatively on the door and waited.

[well... he's neutral.... but.... he's a human/alchemist..... Alchemist is more of a class though... lol... i just put it down :3]
The apothecary turned toward the soft knock on the door, his stew was done, so he quickly shut off the heat, walking toward the counter and placing both hands as though he was awaiting her the entire time. "You may enter!" He shouted loudly enough for her to hear. He had no idea what she was wanting from him.... but he was barely in the mood for company.... although he remained polite... hoping this one was not too demanding.

(Ok, I get it. Yeah, for some reason alchemists and priests are neutral but sorcerers/esses are greaters. *shrug* and they can be of any race, it just determines what side they're considered to be on)
Niniel timidly entered as she could tell from his tone that he was not expecting company and that she might not be entirely welcome. She noticed the man, and he appeared to be human to her, which set her on edge immediately. She did, however, also notice the stew, and she tried not to look too longingly at it.
"Hello, sir," she said cautiously. "I'm not disturbing you, am I?"

[well.... i do not know the focus.... i suppose there should be more races available... but it is her rp]
His eyes met with the elven woman's eyes, he sighed softly, speaking with a deep and commanding tone, but there was an obvious kindness behind it. "Dear Elf..... relax yourself.... you are in the realm of a humble apothecary... your defensive stance is barely needed...." he paused, a light smile coming upon his face. "Being who I am.... i have indebted myself to helping people who require it.... do not worry about bothering.... but.... you seem to be bothered by a focus.... I had heard the sound of growling even from here..... you have a very violent apatite." he joked, laughing as he ended the sentence.
He finally reached the point she had probably been waiting for, "... Dear Elf..... if you have not eaten.... I would be more than happy to welcome you into my humble abode. It has been such a long time since I have had someone eat with me.... It will be a welcome change." It would seem that the commanding tone slowly relaxed overtime, as though it only came upon before he had seen her.

(*nods* They probably included all the ones they thought would fit well together and didn't want it to get overrun with all different kinds. *shrugs* Actually I have no clue why XD)
She blushed a bit at his joking about her stomach. "That is very kind of you, sir," she said, not wanting to offend the man who was now her host. "I would really appreciate being able to share in your meal. I haven't eaten anything since..." She paused to think, and couldn't remember. "Apparently long enough I can't remember, probably around a day." She was a bit embarrassed by admitting this, as she was still proud deep down. She was also acting a bit kinder towards him than her usual, but she was in need of things like food and her abrasiveness hadn't gotten her anywhere so far, and he hadn't given her a reason to be rough toward him yet anyways. "My name is Niniel," she said, changing the subject a little, and hoping for a name in reply as she was curious.
( >.< I'm sorry to just drop you now, but I need to be getting to bed since I have to get up again in seven hours. It's been fun so far, though XD and I should be back tomorrow *has no life*)

The apothecary seemed to take a bit before he responded, "Ah... yes... introductions and all... I would be happy to give you my name.... Ellios Orion.... the children call me Mr. Orion.... often coming out of the fact that they believe me to be some sort of magical being... extracting candy from the earth..." he laughed softly, "But that is for another time.... I will be right back.... Let me get something... if you haven't eaten in a day... that cannot be good."
Ellios moved to the back quickly turning around and grabbing the pot and placing it on the counter between them. He returned back to his room again and pulled out two bowls. Pouring one with the steamy broth and sliding it across the counter to her, it was kind of thick, much like honey, but it had a lighter texture. "Eat, You will enjoy, it is made of Lotus Leaves and a direct Extract of Honeydew." he paused, smiling. It should please most people, although he had no idea how an elf would react to it... although they were in tune with nature... or at least... most of them according to the texts..... so she should enjoy it.
[oh... mmk.... cya when you get back.... i don't have anything all day tomorrow, just a bit of simple stuff and registration things o.o..... so cyu then^^]

Niniel gratefully took the offered stew and began to eat. Her normally hardened expression softened a bit and she almost looked sad as the taste reminded her somewhat of things she would eat at home. She shook her head to try to clear it of the memories. That was the past, and there was no going back now.
