Kat strode up to the Zed and Senrenity. "Alright, its finally time to go home. Let me just check on Sepia, and we'll be off." she said walking up to her friend. "How'd he do?" she whispered as she checked the straps on Sepia's back. Very good really. He made sure everything was well balanced. He also made sure that he placed the rocks inside the baskets so that they wouldn't surprise or hurt me. He's a good kid. Said Sepia, causing Tal to grow silent in thought. Getting a compliment from Sepia was a big deal, she didn't dish them out on a regular basis. With a satisfied nod, she turned to Zed, "Alright, good job. Time to go home." she said motioning for him to climb up. Turning to Serenity, "If you need anything while you're in Silverwing City, just stop by my forge. If you don't know where it is, just ask. Most people know. I'll see you around." she said as she climbed up.

Zed followed, climbing onto Sepia's back. He nodded a thanks as he watched her climb up, waving to Serenity. He looked at his hands, blackened and a bit sweaty, but otherwise fine. He would probably end up with a few callouses in time, but it meant that he was getting used to more manual labor.

"Will do," she replied to Talia, taking her up on her offer. She smiled. Those two were the first friends that she made while in Silverwing City. It was a good start. Waving goodbye, she jumped on Sage's back with ease. That made her wonder if either of them had powers as well. She never knew how she got her powers, but it does come in handy. "Goodbye!" she called out, Sage ready to leave.

As Sepia rose in the air, Tal felt a wave a tiredness wash over her. She had used a good amount of her magic earlier that day with a project she was working on, and the working she did just now was no small thing. With a audible curse for having gone too far, Tal fell under a black curtain as she dropped into a faint. Sepia, possibly having predicted Tal's overextention of her power, leveled herself, keeping steady. Sepia now looked over her shoulder at Zed, as if asking him what he wanted to do now.

Bed for me now....G'night.

Zed was unsure of what to do as Tal had fainted from over exhaustion. He caught her, laying her lower half on Sepia's back and holding her head and shoulders onto his crossed legs. He looked unsure at the moment, meeting Sepia's look with pressed lips. "For now I guess that we ought to just fly back to the shop and get her in bed.

Sitting on the outer edges of vision was a small boy. With hair that was a light silvery golden color and eyes bluer than the sky, he sat in the middle of a large field, simply watching the small group that was preparing to depart. Sitting beside him was a pure white dragon with eyes the color of blood. The scaly beast was only just big enough for the little boy to ride him. You would think that this adorable pair would immediately attract attention. They'd been there for a few hours, you'd think some one would have noticed them and would have approached this little boy and dragon that seemed no more than eight years old...

But some how they didn't seem important. Some how, you saw them and knew that some one was there, but it didn't really strike you to remember anything about them or approach them. A light smile played across the little boy's face as his feet moved in gentle rhythm through the air.

Avis, do you think we should go help? He asked his mount on a mental thread. The voice within his head did not match his outwards appearance at all. The voice within his head was ancient, wise, strong.

The voice that responded was younger, but no less displaced from the body. Probably. They seem like they might be interesting. And what's more, I'm sure you've noticed... change...

Yes. Change exists around them. History is in the making... we should bear witness. Kyaka smiled, slipping from the stone he was seated on, his feet hitting the ground noiselessly. He walked, entering the group with Avis at his side, and he went unnoticed. He stood with them for a while, and when he finally dropped his guards, it was like he'd always been there.

"Miss!" He exclaimed, looking to the passed out woman. His innocent adorable gaze traveled upward to Zed. "Mister, is the Miss alright?" He asked, his small, high, musical voice asked in a worried tone. His voice was silky sweet and so beautiful to listen to. It was soothing, it was hypnotic.

Zed turned his head, seeing a younger boy suddenly there. Had he just arrived? Or maybe he was playing somewhere before he came here? He didn't know for sure, but probably shouldn't be thinking about such trivial matters. How young was the boy anyway? He was probably a lot younger than him, maybe into his early teens or so. And did he have a mount? "Uh, well I think that she'll be fine since she probably only passed out from exhaustion." He noticed something in the boy's voice a sort of musical tone that seemed to be sort of calming in a way, not that he was too distressed in the first place.

Kyaka smiled, bouncing in place for a moment. He looked to be no more than eight years old. He grinned, looking to the tiny dragon beside him, Avis. "See Avis! She's all right!" He grinned with a furious nod. He turned and looked up to Zed once more. "Where are you going to take her?" He asked, just barely managing to keep still as excitement filled his features.

His bright blue eyes, at first seeming adorably innocent revealed to have something darker hidden in their depths. They held wisdom and age. They held strength and power. Pain and sorrow. For a moment those big bright blue eyes seemed so wearied and tried by time and age, that they seemed to pull you deep into them. For a moment all this was evident... but only for a moment. The moment passed and Kyaka was a small adorable kid again.

"My Name's Kyaka! What's yours?" He asked in a light adorable chime. Kyaka was a name familiar to all who lived. It was a name of legends, whispered at the ends of a story, murmured in the depths of dream. It was well known, and yet rarely used... but it was used.

Zed nodded, seeing the tiny dragon next to the boy. Was he recently hatched? It would explain the size and it must have been the guy's mount too. "I'm going to take her back to her home and give her time to rest." He looked at the boy's blue eyes, seeing how innocent they looked at first glance, raising an eyebrow as he saw a flash of something. What was that? He blinked his eyes, swearing that he could use time to rest too. "Zed."

Kyaka grinned. "Nice to meet you Zed." He nodded. He turned to Zed's mount, Silverwing. Now, something to be understood about Kyaka. Under normal circumstances, with a normal person, people wouldn't be able to converse with mounts... but Kyaka was far from normal, and had lived for thousands of years This was more than enough time to learn hundreds of thousands of languages.

He made a strange musical chirping noise... he spoke the language of the pheonix quite fluently. Hello. My name is Kyaka. I would be honored to know yours. He spoke to the bird with a light bow. Enough to show respect with out being subservient.

Avis beside Kyaka was not to be ignored. He grumbled out a low complaint and Kyaka blinked. "Oh yeah! This is Avis." He said, gesturing to the small white dragon. "Avis, say hi." The small dragon opened his mouth and burped up a trail of smoke, which then drifted into the word 'hi' for a brief moment. This caused Kyaka to giggle before slumping onto the dragon, his arms circling around the creatures neck as he looked up to the other pair of beings, awaiting their replies with amused eyes. "It took forever to teach him that!" Kyaka confided.

Zed nodded, looking to Avis. "Right. Hi." He remained polite, though curious about the dragon. What would it look like fully grown? He shrugged, a smile appearing on his face when he saw a trail of smoke turn into a "Hi". He held a spark of amusement in his eyes, turning to Kyaka. "I wonder if Sepia could do the same thing." He imagined her trying to do so, almost laughing.

"Oh my," Serenity gasped. She still didn't know what Talia and Zed were doing, but Talia must have been working very hard to faint. She jumped off of Sage's back, hovered in the air for a second, then landed gently on the ground. But strangely when she landed there was an adorable little boy and a small dragon there. Kyaka and Avis, as they introduced. "Hello, I'm Serenity, and this is my mount Sage." she introduced. She turned to Zed, "So where does Talia live? Would it be faster to just fly to my house? We have an extra bed." she suggested.

Kyaka frowned, furrowing his brows as he tried to decipher the comment regarding Sepia. "Nmmmm... I dunno." He shrugged finally. "I dunno cause I dunno who Sepia is!" He chimed with a sweet happy smile. He looked to Serenity and Sage, his blue eyes bright and interested as he looked to Sage.

"HIIIII!" He beamed to the pair. He could hear the conversation taking a turn to leave, and he slipped round, sitting atop Avis. The small dragon spread its wing, stretching them. "Nuoooooo Avis! Don't leave yet!" Kyaka cheeped in lilting tones as he held on fiercely to Avis's neck.

Kyaka looked to the pair, his mind working as he determined the connections between all of these people. They'd met fairly recently, that much was obvious. None of them were any older than they seemed. They'd all gotten their steads recently, and were quite good with them... all of them had mounts, even if Zed didn't have his at the moment. Kyaka was a very intelligent person, he could pick up on these things through emotional scents and ties. Such things he could smell and taste and see because of who and what he was. Kyaka was not human. Not even close.

But of course no one there would be able to tell that.

Sepia heard Zed's little comment about forming words and snorted. Please, I wouldn't lower myself to do such silly things. On him, its cute, on me, just plain rediculous. she grumbled to herself, knowing that none could hear her. Oops, looks like she's waking up. Oh, she's gonna be cranky. she commented as Tal began to stir. Struggling into a sitting position, and not quite making it as she fell back down, Tal put her hand to her head, covering her eyes. "Ow." she muttered before slipping off into another faint. How she hated being this worn.

Before Zed could tell Serenity, it seemed like Tal was about to get up. He sighed again when she fainted. He looked at Sepia shrugging. "True, though I suppose you could do better tricks with your breath couldn't you?" He pressed his lips for a moment before answering Serenity. "She runs a blacksmith store in the Outer City and lives there I think." He wondered about Kyaka's mount and the personality of it; Avis seeming as happy as Kyaka himself.

The young pair of odd adorable youth and equally odd and adorable dragon suddenly shot off into the sky. Obviously one of them had gotten impatient, and from Kyaka's irritating chitter, it wasn't him. The pair didn't land though, and circled lazily in the sky, their flight seeming oddly... skillful. Which was very odd considering how young the pair looked. They seemed as if they had been doing such for years instead of less than a week.

She needs rest Kyaka. We should try to get them to get her to the bed quickly. Lying there isn't helping her any, and once we get to a place where she can rest more fully, you can help her some. Stop bitting me! Avis spoke to Kyaka on the mental thread, adding the last bit because Kyaka was gnawing on one of Avis's horn like an irritated child would do.

Kyaka of course stopped, looking ruffled as he leaned back precariously far for being so high up. I know, but it would be best if we behaved in a manner that wouldn't attract suspicion. They'll follow soon enough. Kyaka nodded with a light smile, wrapping small arms about Avis's throat as he leaned forward and closed his eyes. Avis was more than capable of flying on his own.

The pair had been together for a few years at this point, each quite comfortable with the other. As far as this form was concerned, Avis was full grown. As far as some of the others... well this form was quite dwarfed.

We live closer. Ask Sepia to follow us to your house with Talia. instructed Sage. Serenity nodded. "Sepia, would it be okay with you if we flew to my house instead? It's closer and Talia needs to rest properly." she said. She walked over to the fainted Tal. Poor thing, she thought to herself. "What exactly were you guys doing, anyways?" she asked. Well, blacksmiths usually make swords, armor, and other weapons, right? Sage asked. Serenity nodded. But what would they need weapons for?

Sepia puffed out a cloud of cold air as she considered Serenity's offer. Sepia would have prefered going home, but Tal needed care, and there was noone at home that could do such. Turning to Serenity, Sepia nodded, accepting the offer and spread her wings. Flapping a few times, she took off and hovered, waiting for Serenity and Sage to lead them.

Zed nodded. "Sounds like a good idea." He felt Sepia start to flap her wings and looked to Serenity to answer her question. "Just mining for some iron. Tal needs to finish a big order." He waited for her and Sage to lead them to her house.

((Gah!! Sorry, I'm going to Disneyland for four days, so I won't be on that much, or not on at all. You guys can play my characters while I'm gone, though. n__n))

Serenity jumped on Sage's back and he flew all the way to their house, making sure the rest were able to follow. When they arrived, Serenity jumped off, and Sage flew away to wherever he goes when Serenity is inside. When she opened the door her mother asked, "Hey sweetie, where've you been?" Serenity explained the whole story and her mother just instructed them to put Talia on the bed in the spare room and let her rest while she prepared some lemonade.

Zed got off of Sepia, carefully carrying Tal off of the dragon. He looked at the sky, noting what time of the day it was. His mount was still out there, probably wondering where he was, but she probably new. He saw Serenity come out and show them to her room. Hopefully he would wake up soon.
