I've had someone tell me that they love me before. But that was just ridiculous.
I'm not one for online relationships... I had to reason with him that he rarely sees pictures of me. He's never spoken to me in person before. We only talk through text, so really, he was in love with the idea of me, not who I actually am. He still calls me little pet names, which I find no harm in, but I'm not getting in a relationship online when he's states away.

When I first went to college and learned what high speed internet was all about, I joined a couple of discussion forums. One of which was final fantasy themed where I met this really great girl. We ended up spending a lot of time talking online, then on the phone.
This friendship continued off and on for years afterward. We both knew it was more, but I was also with someone else at the time. Eventually she shocked me with a face to face visit and the rest, as they say, is history.
I chased her all the way from the midwest to the east coast, and now we're married. It only took 8 years to make it all work >>;;

Kinmotsu:: Aww that's so sweet. >w<
If you guys ever have children, that will be a great story to tell them. :3
As for me, I've met two boyfriends online.
Neither worked out. xD
The first one, I honestly believe I was in love with, but he wasn't in love with me. We lived too far away anyway. :/ We're still great friends though.
The other was pretty great at first. We met online, then talked over the phone for a while, and then we met in person (I was so nervous that I thought my heart was going to pop out of my chest. @[email protected]) Anyway, after a while the relationship got really...weird. And we broke up.

I met my last BF online lol... though we didnt tell people we did. IT actually worked out pretty well till we broke up. Wasnt a big deal, just time to move on. I cant actually remember what site we met on! But when we met in real life, he took me on the cutest date ever. Well sort of...
We broke into these public gardens and walked around in the moon light lol >.> But shhhhhhhhh
Was the best first date ever

I've never had a boyfriend over the internet, that's just silly. But if you later meet them and fall in love, that's nice. But I don't believe you can fall in love with text. I had a friend who's had many of these kinds, never meeting them, but saying she was in love. And they ended up hurting her/cheating on her. One of them actually had their new girlfriend call her and tell her to leave him alone. Quite idiotic if you ask me.
I met my boyfriend at school.

No, I've never dated online. I mean.. they could just be an old man pretending to be a handsome young guy :eye twitch:
But sometimes you meet the sweetest people online and you really want to like them.. but yea, I can't trust anyone on the internet </suspicious>
But, if you did eventually meet them in real life.. or simply talked to them via the webcam and phone so you knew they weren't a fake, I think it's okay. (I think I'm kinda getting off topic.. ^^; )
I ALMOST liked a guy online once.. but he was like 80% gay.. :/
(At least he saved me from liking him in that way) xD

I've never dated anyone I've met online. It's just not my kind of thing, I'm much better at meeting people and talking to them in the real world.
Although I've seen it work out really well for other people... as long as they actually meet up in real life at some point. A "relationship" being conducted entirely over the internet is just all a bit pointless.

I've flirted with guys online. I've liked a few guys online. I have never had an online relationship before though, and I'm kind of afraid to, condisering you never know who's REALLY using that username. When I was twelve, some guy said he loved me, though he thought I was fifteen. xD I feel bad, considering after that I had no internet connection for three years, so he probably thought he scared me off. xD

I... had one boyfriend. Met him in therapy/rehab. He was in for drugs, me for depression. That failed.
So now, I look openly to relationships with people I meet online. ... What could be worse than dating who I dated? I mean, he left me and I haven't heard from him in about two years... he left me for drugs, saying they were funner than I was... and well, I hear a LOT of stories about people who met online, and I really want to be one of those people. ^^; Despite my parents paranoia of everyone online is some fat old man who is a pedo... >> I've given out my number twice. ^^ To a girl and a guy. I still talk to the guy via texting and IMing, and we talk about meeting. However... I'm a year older, and he's still in high school. I'm not. (Trust me, I do not have a problem with dating a younger guy.) :3
LAWLS. Large amount of text there, no?

No I dont really like internet dating.
To me it is too werid because you really dont know how old they are or what they look like.
They could be some creepy old man, so for me I like person to person dating.
But good luck to the people who are trying to find there true love.

I met my husband online. We now have a beautiful daughter. I think that the internet is a good way to meet people. I knew everything about him by the time we met and it was awesome. As long as both people are honest it works out pretty well.

Aww thats so cute, how old is your daughter if you dont mind me asking, well the internet isnt a bad place to find true love you just have to be careful out there in the scary world of the "internet. I know this is random but I was wondering how much gold do you get from posting?

The gold you get varies.
My daughter just turned a year old on the 12th! She is getting so big! I have her messy cake face on youtube.

Nope, I seriously don't trust those kind of things personally. Yes, there are some couples that luck out and live happily together but for me, I want to know you face to face first. There are so many scary people online that can disguise themselves anyway they wish. How do I know if I can trust that person? I don't mind being online friends but that is the most I'll go.

^3^) omgosh, that is so sweet~
Ive had 2 bf's online, one i knew for a year and a half before we started 'dating', he was a real sweetheart---until he started to flake out on me---and decided that telling his father we were going out, wasnt want he wanted to do---and i did not want to be a secret; since i had planed to visit him summer of last year.
Now, i have a real bf, one who told his parents of me; we talk on webcam's and with microphones ^3^) he makes me feel good and he's so kind and patient with me.
Although we live in different countries (he's in Turkey and im in the US) we try our best to make it work out---we plan to get married after college and settle down somewhere ^___^
I dont have any of the doubts i had befor *with my x* like will they find someone else, or is he really who he says. Ive seen him and spoken with him enough to belive he is who he is.
The thing is, i dont recommend doing things like this unless you've gotten to truly know that person.
Even with my ex bf, i had been through a lot with him; i was even there when his father re-married, and when he moved to Canada from England.
Just, dont go out with the first thing that says 'hi' to you in some forum, or in some chatroom. *and btw, i dont use chat rooms >3< they seem like total traps....*
