It's pretty crazy the things they make them do. I don't think I would be able to do it.

I wish this show was just the people on the gameshow doing silly things. All the drama between the team members is annoying. If I wanted to watch Americans picking fights and nagging at each other, I'd wait for the new Survivor to come on. I just want to watch clueless outsiders try to ride tricycles and eat wasabi and be silly. :(

I just finished watching it on ABC xD awesome show! I enjoyed the obstacle course they had to go through.

@Bunai I don't think another country would work...well maybe South Korea because they are just as crazy. But japan has the CRAZYEST game shows ever...they usually have there celebs doing things though xD

I had to watch the last game again. It was just too good. Justin falling straight into the water=priceless.

ABC announced that they are releasing a second season of this show. Am I the only who is looking forward to watching more of this craziness? Wikipedia says it'll be out sometime this summer, the ABC site June 24th, but it doesn't say a year so I'm not sure if that's updates. If it is, we still have a long time to wait.

I loved that show. It was so awesome... also, the fact that I love Japanese culture and Japan itself, helped me enjoy the show. lol, anyway, I can't wait for a second season. It'll be awesome.

Yeah, it was sweet how they would show you the different aspects to Japan for prizes.

New season and Justin

Ugh,
I gradually grew to dislike Justin..
he's a whiner, and he cussed at someone cause they didn't understand him.
He is also impatient and pushy. Just grabbing people, instead of saying Excuse me.

On another note, some of the challenges were just too ridiculous to do...but sure are fun to watch.LOL . And what was with the freakin' Flour pool?!

That show is so funny. The last time I saw that the las three contestants had to run around Japan in school girl out fits and bublegum pink wigges trying to get people to do things and they (ovously) had to speak Japanese,but what mande it funny was one of them was a guy:)

I watched it a few times. And was ashamed of being born in America. Some of those people were kinda acting innappropiate in a foreign country. Especially one that isn't afraid to show how much they dislike you for being an american. I loved the japanese people, needless to say I hated the show. Those americans were making a fool out of themselves for money...

Japan has shows similar to this one, that humiliate their own people. I am not seeing what there is to be ashamed of. It seems very cliche to say.

They were game contestant.

I enjoyed the new season, and let me say I am so happy that Cathy won. She was awesome, never bad-mouthed anyone, and won all the challenges.

I'm very glad that Justin did not make it into the final two. He did not deserve it.

The squid game was the nastiest thing ever, and the one with the sumo wrestlers.

I love "Making Friends in Japan", although it does get me totally embarrassed for those people.

I guess I don't watch as many Japanese game shows as I think. I mean I've never seen them do any of the things they make them do on the show. Some of the Americans need a lesson in manners and understand they are not in the States and are representing the lot of us unfortunately

That show is so insane! I haven't seen it in awhile but I find it amusing to see these Americans humilate themselves for cash.

I used to watch it all the time. I still do just not enough time in a day to do so. So much work to be done so little time. But i still think it is absolutley HILARIOUS!!!

I miss this show already. It's so wacky and fun. I wish there was more games and less reality tv stuff though. I'm not so big on reality tv. I'd be really happy if they subtitled some of the crazy Japanese gameshows. I know they do that "Most Extreme Challenge" and dub over it, but I hate that. I want to watch the game uncut and without all the stupid forced jokes. =P I'll just watch Wipeout for that.

As for that whole "I'm ashamed to be American" angle someone up there mentioned. Puh-lease. This show is based on Japanese gameshows. Have you never seen Japanese people do this for...um...lemme guess...money? I think you're showing more ignorance by acting all high and mighty like that than the people in the show.
