Signature Change:
The maximum allowance for any signature, text included, is 350pixels height by 500pixels width. We know this already. Here's the change:

Instead of users being allowed to go over the limit and face penalty from the staff, from here on out signatures (either images or text alone, or a combination of both) will be automatically cut off by the system if they exceed these size dimensions. So, if your signature currently looks messed up, omit some text or resize your image. :) This way no one will ever go over the signature limit of 350x500.

As for the 150KB limit, we're going to go easy on this. Instead, users with huge signature sizes (animated signatures, for example, might run up to be over 1MB in size), if the staff deems them too large someone will politely PM the user in question asking for the signature to be removed. An infraction will only be given if the user refuses to comply.

There are some bugs in IE still being smoothed out by this, but in FireFox the change is fully noted. The IE bugs will be removed. Currently signatures do not cut off by height but by width.

Lastly, staff will be editing site guidelines to reflect this signature change in due time, so if our handbooks and stickies are out of date, pay no mind.

Gold Granted in Games:
There will now be a 500 gold cap placed on the games. Every day at midnight CST time the game cap resets. For example, if you earn 500 gold from 9pm to 11pm CST, at midnight the game cap would reset and you can earn 500 more.

QUESTIONNN

I'm a bit technically challenged when it comes to image KB and stuff. (I didn't know an image can be the same size as another image but have more KBs. but it kind of makes more sense now with the mention of animated images.)

Sometimes, I disappear from Mene for a while. What if there's something wrong with my signature & a mod PMs me about it. If I don't respond because I'm offline, or out of town, how long do I have to respond and change my signature before someone thinks I'm "refusing to comply?"
I don't want to get penalized for not checking my inbox.

Thanks for the info - I know I usually try to resize all my images to 300 so I don't have to worry about text if I add it in - but it's nice to know that if I goof I won't have to worry about it :lol:

Glad to hear the gold cap - sucks I need lots of gold right now, but in the long run it is probably best for the economy - I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens to prices now that gold isn't as easy to farm.


Is this 500 gold cap per game or total?

Like can I play each game for 500 gold (like 500 from tetris and 500 from snake and so on) or is it 500 combined total?

As I understand, it's 500 gold total over all of the games.

ie: You could play Tetris for 500 gold. OR play Snake for 300 and Tetris for 200.

Sia, it's total, like the others have said. If you play Tetris for 500g, that's all you can earn for that day. If you went to play more Tetris or Snake thereafter (or any other game) you wouldn't receive anything. It's 500g, per day, to cover all the games combined. :) If you encounter an error where you can make more than 500g, or less than, do let us know so we can fix it!

Muggles, when a user doesn't comply, it's pretty much only when they are actively posting after a PM was sent. If no reply or site activity has happened from a user since the PM was sent, nothing will be done. :yes: It's definitely unfair to punish someone on something they haven't had a chance to read.

Winter, as for the IE problems, we will be working on it. We will check to see what alignment options are available, too. :) We know it's only fully functional in FireFox at this time, but we hope to soon amend it. ^^ Thanks so much!

I know kabob. What I mean now it can only be centered in that width span. so, you can't really get in it the center of the page or all the way on the right.
(mine appears that it is centered only because it is thin and as far right as possible. xD

Yes, you can play with your mule, but they'll be capped at 500g as well. :)

I recall asking for this system when I was warned for not measuring the text in my siggy, but was told that it'd be impossible. I'm glad that you found a way to make it possible to save us all the trouble of downloading plugins to measure our siggy down to the last pixel.

Which is all great besides the fact that my siggy refuses to center itself. Instead, its more like... Lefty-middley-ish? XD Like the lower quartile in box and whisker plots from math.

XD Goes to show how credible our mods are. Guess we really need to rant about something for anything to get fixed :/

Anyway, dunno what to do about the aligning thing. Hopefully it'll be fixed ^^
