"Vampire?" She stated inquiringly, in her most innocent tone. "I have no idea what you're talking about!"

Julietta wrenched herself away from his grasp and glared. "Look hunter," She hissed, "I'll tell you right now, you can try to kill me right here and now, but I wouldn't advise you to on the front porch of the two oldest vampires in the world. As you're looking at their daughter." A smirk played at her lips, and she played with a strand of her red hair, "You actually manage to succeed in killing me, and you'll have a swarm of vampires to deal with. This area is filled with them, and I highly doubt you'd be able to escape." She giggled like a little girl and jumped up on a tree branch, "If you're still up for trying, good luck..." She said before darting into the backyard and entering the house through the back door.

The look she gave him before running off basically read, "If you want to get me, I advise to come and find me."

Once inside she hurried upstairs and into her bedroom where she sat on her bed, looking out the window, waiting to see how things would work out..

Watching her run away from him, Adrien couldn’t help but smile. She just gave him some important information. Full of vampires, eh? Musing, he twirled Blanc around and around, studying his surroundings for a few seconds. Turning around to leave, he also drew out Noire. Wonder how many vampires he could kill with these two guns? Noire, designed for accurate long-range, Blanc, rapid fire, the answer? A lot.

Smirking, he put both guns back into his coat, strolling down the path back to the village. Oh, he’ll be back alright.

Helen was far from happy at the moment. Where was the wretched girl? She was supposed to be home an hour ago. Pacing up and down, the woman massaged her temple, teal eyes fixed onto a spot on the ceiling. There was rustling in the front porch, she heard, but ignored it. Where was her daughter?

Footsteps ran up the stairs and a door opened; the door to Julietta’s bedroom. Absolutely furious, the woman charged straight up, flinging open the door. “Where have you been?”Helen demanded, crossing her arms.

Julietta looked up at her mother, and smiled nervously. "Oh.....hi mama...." She said quietly, the cocky playfulness that had been in her voice moments earlier gone. "Well, you see.........I went out to hunt....and I stopped in that one bar Daddy showed me." She glanced out the window. "I kind of met somebody interesting and lost track of time....." It was a lame excuse but it was all she had. She had a feeling her mother would skin her alive if she told her she been drinking with a hunter, and better yet, she had decided to toy with him rather than simply deciding to bite and kill him.

Victoria stood in silence, her bright eyes watching every movement. She was standing outside an old weapons shop, debating what to do next. She could do ahead and leave town, and head towards the vampire territory or she could stay here and see how many other vampires were aroumd. Wiping her bangs out of her eyes she sighed as she glanced around. The silence here was eerie, and a frowned crossed her lips. She had to wonder if the rumors she had heard were true, she had heard that there was a way to remove vampire venom and turn vampires human. That would be perfect for her, but she worried about gaining all her years back. After all, she had been born in the 1600's....

[I think I may try playing Vincent later, I just need to read my story and see how I put his personality. ^^; This roleplay idea came from that..^^;]

The woman turned around, her long robe fluttering on the ground. To be quite honest, Helen never walked, no, the Queen of Vampires swept. “Someone as in?” she growled, eyes piercing down at her daughter. Considering her age, she has had much time to perfect that glare on her husband and various other people. “I told you not to wander, to come straight home even if you haven’t hunted when you’ve met your curfew. They’re onto us, the hunter society. The Amherst twins told me that they were nearly shot by a hunter,” Helen growled, slamming her fist down onto the nearest object, which happened to be a table. The table collapsed under the sudden strength.

“It’s for your own good, Julietta, you know why. You are to inherit this throne in the new millennium. We told you that you are not to stay out there doing whatever you do unless there are orders from either your father or myself. Do I make myself clear?” Rapping her long fingernails against her arm, Helen’s voice grew softer, indicating danger zone, “Now, who is this someone that interests you so much?”

Woah, the fun never ends tonight. He killed one, kissed and nearly killed one, now he was meeting yet another one. The next vampire was standing in front of a weapons shop, seemingly thinking. Bringing out Noire, he pointed the black gun at her, smirking. “So, you’re a vampire. How many of them am I going to have to meet tonight?” Adrien asked out loud, aiming.

Looking at the vampire’s face, he lowered his gun. “Is that you, Victoria?” he questioned curiously.

ooc//
I've imagined Helen as dominitrix type of a woman, her being Helen of Troy and bringing two cities to its knees. Hope that's alright with you.

Julietta stood up and leaned against the wall as she listened to her mother, a pouty look on her face as she crosssed her arms. "I understand that," She muttered, and when the woman returned to the subject of who she had met she flinched. She had learned a long time ago that her mother would know if she was being lied to.

With a small, clearly forced smile, she shrugged her shoulders, "Well, he clearly didn't tell me his real name," A pause, "You see the village is full of hunters at the moment...."

Victoria looked up, snapping out of her own little world, seeing Adrien appear and hearing him speak. "The one and only," She said calmly, as she brushed hair away from her face, and tied it back with a ribbon.

"So......." She began as she stood upright and stopped leaning against the wall, "What brings you out here to these parts?" She asked, instead of waiting for a reply, she continued speaking. "I suppose that the society has finally heard about all the murders. 'Bout damn time too."

She frowned as she glanced up and down the street, "I'm going after the royals," She stated quietly.

[Oh, and that's all right, she kind of starts out that way in my story so its fitting in my mind. ^^; And I'm gonna go ahead and try a few more characters out. ^^;]

Elizabeth Vale, or Candy as she was better known by walked down the forest path in silence, glancing around nervously every so often. She was on her way to the home of the royals, though she was human, Candy was employed as their maid. Her dark blue eyes were constantly darting around, as this forest constantly made her nervous. Just because she was their maid, it didn't mean she was immediately protected from thirsty creatures of the night.

Candy, was sometimes said to be the human twin of Julietta Nikolaus, jokingly of course, because the two looked so much alike. Her dark blue eyes were unlike Julietta's emerald green ones but the similarities did show. nineteen, her figure was still attractive like Julietta's, and the two both had pale skin and long red hair. Though Candy's was generally curled while Julietta detested the idea of curling her hair.

Of course, Candy was no ordinary human either. She had been born wth the ability to change her appearance at will, as well as the appearances of others, Which she did do often. That was another reason the young woman had been employed, it often looked suspicious when the same vampires always managed to appear in town before a "murder."

As she approached the door, she knocked once before entering the house, and looking around. The front room was empty except for Vincent whom was asleep or so it looked on the couch. Without a word, she stepped into the kitchen and began tidying up.

Rolling off the couch, Vincent Nikolaus growled as he stood up and looked around the room. It was quiet and he kicked himself mentally for dozing off. His amber eyes scanned the room, and with a shrug, he hurried upstairs. Seeing his daughter's door open, he peeked in and spotted the broken table, he grin mischiveously and slipped in.

"Helen, you really ought to watch that temper of yours " He said teasingly, "It'll be the death of you, I swear." With that, he placed a hand over his chest and looked at her, "And you'd leave us all heart broken, which I'm sure you don't want to do." Of course, this was said in the same teasing voice. More to himself, he added, "Now where did that cat get to?"

Yes, it appeared that he couldn't take anything seriously. But in reality he was quite capable of being serious...............when he felt like it that was.

The woman narrowed her eyes as she listened to her daughter explain. “Are you implying that you were interested in a hunter?” she hissed, slightly horrified. A moment later, her husband appeared into the room. Forcing a strained smile onto her face, Helen replied, “Death of me?” Pausing as he mentioned something about a cat, she asked, no, almost demanded, “What cat?”

Crossing her arms again and frowning, Helen shook her head. Her temper was definitely not going to be the death of her… This pair she called husband and daughter was. “What did you do to the hunter?” she inquired, remembering the subject she was talking about to her daughter before her husband interupted.

Hearing her questions, and how she murmured that she was going after the royals, Adrien grinned. “They’re trying to deal with the shortage of hunters since they sent most down to Transylvania. Something about the vampires there trying to revive Dracula,” he responded, shrugging. “Got assigned here last week, killed one earlier this night. And nearly killed one, guess who that one happened to do?” He paused for dramatic affect, a silly grin plastered onto his face. “Heir to the throne led me straight to the castle. Planning on raiding later this week.”

Putting Noire away, the asinine grin had suddenly darkened. “Wanna join me?” Taking a few steps closer, he ran his fingers through his hair.

Julietta had to stifle a giggle when her father came into the room. "Well.........." She said quietly, there was no need to give her mother every detail and make her worry even more than she already did, so she continued, "This hunter, walked me home, and I kissed him, and here I am, alive and well."

Well the term alive wasn't all true, but she was as alive as a member of the undead could be. "Noting more, nothing less," She added nonchalantly.

Vincent watched this with an eyebrow raised, well it looked as though Julietta had gotten into more trouble. He had always said that he got it from her mother, after all, just look at Troy and Sparta. With a small mischiveous grin, he leaned against the wall, "If you don't mind me interupting," he said," His Southern drawl quite clear in that statement, "Perhaps we should meet this hunter of hers. Or at least see who is." He paused, "And by cat, I meant I bought a cat, brought it home, and lost it."

Looking up, Victoria nodded, "I have to go there myself." She told him, "See, I have a bit of a bone to pick with their lovely queen. Helen, I believe her name was? See, she was the one who turned me, and I had no desire to be turned." Then with a smile she added, "Oh well, I suppose some advantages have come with it, "It's a hell of a lot easier to kill the vampires this," Though there was still a hint of disgust in her voice.

"What are you going to do before then? Plan I suppose."

“You…” She was shaking all over, leaning onto her husband for support. “You kissed a hunter?” Helen fanned herself slightly, mouth open in utter disbelief that her daughter would ever do such a thing. “You kissed him and didn’t kill him? That is unbelievable! You brought him home! What in the world were you thinking?! Did he have a gun pointed at you? I have to deal with this hunter as soon as possible…” her words were all over the place, shifting from worried mother, angered mother, and demanding queen. “But you kissed him! And you didn’t bite him!”

Jade eyes shifting into cat-like slits and turned red, Helen stood up, regaining her ice cold exterior as queen. “You are to dispose of the hunter; this is an order from your queen. You brought us into the mess, get us out. And if you would excuse me, I have a meeting with the Nobles on matters the twins saw today, and because of you, I am late. Vincent, shall we?” her voice literally iced up the windows, an ability unique to vampires of noble and royal blood. Gown rustling beneath her feet, Helen exited the room.

Vincent sighed and followed Helen out of the room. "You know, Helen." He said quietly, "She could be toying with him," He paused, "And if that's the case, it's likely that she'll get him before he gets her." He frowned, "Or at least....that's always how things tend to turn out with me."

As he ran a hand through his blond hair, he glanced around, "Just calm down a little, I'm sure everything will be fine." Patting her shoulder, he slipped an arm around her waist. "The worst the can happen is.........well, he can lead a bunch of hunters here......but I'm sure we'd outnumber them, after all most of the vampire population lives here. And it is harder to kill nobles and royalty, don't you think?"

After her parents were well enough away from her room, Julietta slipped out the window and hurried down the forest path. If her parents were meeting with the Nobles they would be there for awhile. After arrriving back in town, she spotted the hunter she had run into earlier and another.......vampire? Or so the woman's scent hinted at that. Not wanting to run into either of them at the moment, she slipped into a small cafe' and ordered a glass of tea after she was seated, but waved off the menu. From the window she watched the two in silence.

“Ah, so she’s the one that bit you…” he nodded slowly, “Advantages, eh? Lovely, lovely,” he said sarcastically, eyes twinkling with unexpressed laughter. Adrien shrugged as she asked what he was going to do in the next week. “Plan, prepare, whatever. I just need to get my hands on the heir. She needs to be dead before anyone else,” he spat out, “They killed my family, those things.”

Eyes lighting up, he smiled at her. “Anyways, it’s good to see you. We have a lot of catching up to do before you go on your killing spree.”

Victoria nodded, before looking around. "Lets go in somewhere," She stated quietly, "I don't feel like standing out her all night, this place is too quiet, it creeps me out." She then added, "It has been awhile, hasn't it? More like a year or so. I trust like has been interesting for you." She started walking but stopped in the middle of the street, and waved a hand airily towards the many bays and resturaunts. "Take your pick. I'm fine with anything."

“You’re right… This village, its right next the vampire’s territory,” he sympathized, sighing gently. “A year… Hardly feels like it, doesn’t it? Although being isolated and hunting those things makes the absence longer.” Adrien closed his eyes, randomly pointing at a shop and exclaiming, “That one.” He happened to be pointing at a small café squished between many buildings. It was something one would not notice if you were not taking a second glance. Pushing open the door, the blond said, “Ladies first,” and with a lopsided smile, he offered her his hand.

With a small smirk, Victoria took his hand and led him inside. After telling the attendant they needed a table for two, they were led to a small table in the back of the cafe. Ordering two drinks, she turned her attention back to Adrien. "So Adrien, what have you been up to the past year?" After the drinks arrived, she took a sip and studied his face carefully.

Julietta noticed the hunter from earlier enter wth the vampiress she had seen speaking to him earlier. They were seated two tables away from her and she sank down a bit in her seat. Well there was no denying that this was interesting. A hunter having an apparently friendly chat with a vampiress? Well, there was something odd going on in the world. Beckoning a waiter over, she ordered a piece of chocolate cake and ice cream. Just because she was a vampire didn't mean she had to give up sweets.

Thanking the waiter, Adrien looked up at Victoria, stopping a moment to think things over. “The usual. Sit there, wait for a job, do the job, get paid, repeat. Feels a bit weird not having Alex to watch my back anymore,” he sat up, “He decided that this style of life was too dangerous for his wife now they have a kid.” Shaking his head a little, he continued, “It was stupid of him to drop out of the business completely… They found him dead last week.”

Resting his chin on his hand, he looked around, silently observing. A flash of red hair caught his eyes, and he tensed a bit before relaxing. No, it probably was just another coincidence. They never came out this close to sunrise.

Victoria nodded, "That's lovely." She said quietly, but quite sarcastically and shook her head in a sympathetic manner. "I hate to say it but I had a feeling it would happen sooner or later." She raised an eyebrow as she took a sip of her drink, "My year was pretty interesting. Had a few decent jobs out in Russia, a two-month marriage to one of the vampires, as he was pretty tricky, and then he suffered a "mysterious death," She made quotation marks with her fingers when speaking the last two words, "And then I was in Italy for awhile, Venice was full of the vamps. Now I'm here."

She had gotten used to referring to other vampires in that way, mainly because she didn't classify herself with other vampires.

Taking a drink out of the coffee he had ordered, he nodded. “He was stupid enough to drop out,” Adrien said, swirling the coffee around and around the cup. “But hey, what’s the past is the past,” he added, leaning back onto his chair. As she mentioned that she had gotten married, he laughed, utterly amused at the concept. “You got married and you didn’t tell me? Tsk, tsk,” he scolded, “I could have come and crashed the wedding; it would have been fun with all those things around.”

“Russia and Italy, eh? I haven’t been taking out of the country jobs. They’re too cheap to provide transportation and the pay has been meh lately.” Stopping a waitress, he asked for a refill, and turned back to Victoria. “What are you planning to do after you eliminate HV?” HV standing for, of course, Head Vampire.

"No idea." Victoria stated, as she took another sip of her drink. "I'm thinking of taking a break after that, I haven't used any of my vacation or sick days yet." Clearly as she didn't get sick and she hadn't suffered any life threatening injuries.
"Any idea what you plan on doing after this."

A loud thud was heard, as Julietta slammed her glass down on the table, she dropped a fifty on the table and hurried out the door. She now remembered where she knew the vampiress from, Victoria had been in her home several times when Julietta was younger. And during those times the arguments that had resulted between Victoria and her parents had not been pretty. She ran out of the village, and through the forest, and when she finally reached her house, she slammed the front door open, probably giving the maid a heart attack.

"Mama!" She yelled, "You may want to get down here!"

She hoped her parents were home by now.

“There are hunters in town, so now what?” a Noble yawned, stretching slightly. It was getting close to morning, and they were all sleepy now. “Kill them before find out a way to kill us. One of them knows where we all are located at the moment,” Helen snapped, almost as irritated as the vampires around her. Nobles, all of them, born and raised vampires, not bitten, obviously. The Noble that had stretched was now fast asleep on the conference table, while a few others were nodding off.

Shaking her head, the queen stood up. “We will continue this meeting tomorrow, when you all are less, useless.” She headed out without her husband, changing into a bat and hurrying back home.

“Mhm,” Adrien grunted, listening to the commotion that had just happened with the lady slamming down money and running off. “If the HV dies, there will be other HV’s, so I’m probably going to go back to doing what I do best.” With slight arrogance, he finished, “Killing them off one by one.” He smiled, changing the subject slightly. “Have you found a cure yet?”

Julietta paced around the living room, not caring that Candy was watching her with a worried expression on her face. This was not good, well that was the understatement of the century. Sitting on the couch, she covered her eyes, and rubbed her temple. Where was the woman when you needed her? Of course, she figured this was probably how her mother was feeling when she had missed her curfew.

Victoria shook her head and frowned. "Not yet, I met a scientist who thought he had it, but when he tried it on one of the vampires in his lab, the vampires simply turned green and shrivelled up. Of course, I did get a supply of that injection but as far as a cure go, its useless." She took a sip of her drink and forced a small smile, "By the way, when you go after those other vampires, save a few for me. You can't have all the fun."

Transforming back to human once she landed onto the porch, Helen opened the door, sighing as she massaged her head, absolutely irritated. Seeing her daughter sitting there on the couch, she said, though it sounded more like an order than anything, “I’m tired, there are things to tend to. Go to bed, Julietta. I don’t need you here right now. Candy, take the lady up to her room. I don’t need another distraction right now.”

“Oh,” was all he said as she told him they hadn’t found a cure. He knew how much she hated being in that state. Who wouldn’t, though, considering what was at stake at the moment. Winking, he said, “Of course I won’t.” A smirk played his lips as he stood up. “Well, I’m bored. It’s daylight. Going to go investigate and get familiar with what I’m dealing with for a while, coming, or not?”

Instead of going when Candy placed a hand on her arm, Julietta stood up and looked at her mother increduously. "I thought I would tell you, that Victoria is in town, and she has you targeted as her next victim." She paused, "She was with the hunter I met earlier so they're probably planning something. And by the way, I'm pretty sure she is the one who almost shot the twins."

Victoria covered her mouth as she yawned and nodded. "Don't worry, I'm coming," She said as she stood up and glanced around.

(Short, but I'm going to a party in a bit.)
