All the windows in the house cracked under an invisible pressure and broke, shards of glass littering the floors as Helen heard the news. “You run away from your family and lead him back to where half the population of vampires lives?” the sound of a smack echoed through the house. “Wretched girl. I know you hate us, but is secrecy too much to ask for?” She stopped, “Your thoughtless actions will be the death of me… Now with your sister gone, there will be chaos.” The Queen stood up. “Andrew Vale?” she questioned suddenly, a wicked smile on her face. “This is going to be very complicated. You and your sister are a troublesome pair.”

Grabbing her by the other shoulder, Adrien growled, “I told you not to try anything. Next time I won’t be aiming for your shoulder, princess. Thanks to you I now have a headache. C’mon, I need a martini; we’re going to the bar.” Eyeing her wound, he shrugged it off, “You’re going to be fine, now walk.” Forcefully shoving her, he slipped Noire back into its holster.

Kathryn whimpered as she watched her mother. "I didn't leave him back here...." She glanced around the living room, her face white. "He came here because it was the next place on the list, I didn't even want to come back!" She kicked herself mentally as she watched the Queen. She knew that it had been an idea to come back home. And she didn't see how complicated it could be, as far as she knew Andrew was barely known as a hunter, though he was far more experienced than most she had met.

Julietta walked towards the bar relunctantly. Maybe it would have been a wiser idea to go home instead of heading out of town. "Well I didn't tell you wake up," She muttered under her breath at his mention of a headache. How wise, alcohol with a headache, he'd regret that one later.

Andrew entered the bar and looked around. He had instructed several hunters to meet him in the bar however it appeared that they hadn't yet arrived. As he approached the bar, he passed a depressed looking girl without a second glance. Probably some little teenie who had a fake I.D. and was trying to drink away her angst after a break-up or something. Who knew? Shrugging it off, he looked around and ordered a vodka, still smirking.

"One of the list," He muttered, as he wrote the name of the vampiress. Next he would go in search of the royals.

Taking a sip of her drink, Candy frowned as she glanced behind her. She'd find Andrew later, from what she had heard, Andrew was extremely cocky and she was in no mood to put up with that. Closing her eyes, she re-opened them and looked around, well the man who sat a few seats down was probably him, and he looked to be much more than cocky. Ordering another drink, she smiled slightly. Well if she couldn't stay in contact with them, she'd at least be able to have a somewhat normal life, but without the vampires it would probably be rather dull. With that last thought, her smile faltered.

A whirl of cold air entered from the smashed windows and blew into the house, though that probably wasn’t the reason the temperature had dropped so drastically. Helen’s face was dark as she looked down, hands still clasped onto her lap. “I will say the same thing as I said to your sister just hours before. You are to go back out there and deal with it. If you survive so be it, if you don’t, I have nothing more to say. Charlené, take Missus Vale back to her husband, she might be missed. Watch the hunters for me while you are at it. In any case, Charlené, take your twin with you for backup.” There was no emotion in her voice to betray what Helen was thinking right now as she disappeared into the lower levels of the house.

Nodding, Charlené gestured at Kathryn before hearing someone drop next to her. “Where were you? Still sulking because you’re not engaged?” Smirking, she whacked Charles upside the head. “Stop it, come on. We need to go.” Tugging at her twin’s sleeve, she sighed. Candy must know about how he was betrothed now, seeing the mixed expression on his face.

Stepping inside the bar, he saw that almost all of them were vampires. Giving Julietta another shove, Adrien sat down. “Martini,” he stated, massaging his temple. This was a bad day. Downing it with one gulp, he surveyed the area carefully and reached for his guns. Better safe than sorry.

Kathryn walked towards Charlene and looked at her. "All right, lets go." She said quietly as looked at the twins, as she continued her voice was firm. "I'll tell Andrew we're leaving. As far as I'm concerned we have no more reason to be here." It was the first time that her voice had actually been raised all day, and her tone was demanding, almost cold.

Julietta ordered herself a drink and watched the hunter. He seemed irritated so she chose not to say anything to him, deciding that it was the wisest idea. Closing her eyes, she rested her arms on the counter and laid her head down. She didn't plan on sleeping but it wouldn't hurt to get some rest.

Looking around, Candy noticed the hunter she had run into earlier as well as Lady Julietta. Running a hand through her hair, she noticed that the blond huntress was with him. Oh well. Maybe she had decided to leave town, that wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Andrew ordered yet another drink and drained it. He frowned as he looked around. Kathryn should have been back by now and he really didn't feel like going out to look for her.

“As you wish,” the older twin said, eyes gazed up at her twin with an almost mischievous smile. “I think this way would be much more efficient for you to be in time. Charles?” Charlené said, and the younger twin took Kathryn by the waist, and Charlené hooked her arm around the other side. With a single bound, the landed on one tree and eventually stopped on top of the bar’s room. In one fluid movement, the two twins plopped down and released Kathryn, entering the bar without another word. My, my, they were in for a big surprise. “Is it just me or is everyone here?” Charles asked, frowning.

Grunting, Adrien laid her forehead down on the bar table. God, he needed to shoot something really bad right now, and there were targets everywhere so it didn’t really help. The only human presence was really the bartender and some other guy sitting there and frowning.

Kathryn looked around and upon spotting Andrew she hurried over to him. "We're leaving." She said quickly. "Now, I had no desire to come here in the first place, and you were wrong. The royals moved on. They're not here."

Andrew watched her with mild amusement. Did she really think that he was stupid enough to believe that. Wrapping an arm around her waist he said with a small smile, "Now, now Kathryn. You act like its the end of the world, being in your hometown. We are staying whether you like it or not."

She opened her mouth to protest and the sound of flesh on flesh permeated the bar as he slapped her. "End of story, now sit down and behave like a good little girl."

Holding the side of her face with one hand, Kathryn wrenched herself away from him and seated herself two seats away.

Julietta sat up and looked at Adrien. "You look miserable." She stated plainly. "Just in case you didn't know."

Candy closed her eyes, and turned away from Andrew. Though she knew somebody ought to do something, it wasn't in her to intervene in the business of others. She glanced around the bar, and her gaze rested on the twins for a moment before she turned away.

“Shut up before I blow your brains out,” Adrien murmured, raising his gun up until it touched her forehead. “You try going nights without sleep and running around babysitting someone—two grown women no less— then we’ll talk.” Dropping his gun, he watched as the twins from earlier enter, then the human slap his girlfriend. That wasn’t very nice, but Adrien never bothered with intervention unless it was that of the supernatural kind.

Charlené and Charles both snapped up at the sound of the slap, tensing up but soon relaxing. Both twins muttered something about, “Someone needs to know their place…” before Charles spotted Candy. He turned away until he felt his sister grab him by the collar. “You are such an idiot. I can’t have you sulking and moping when the wedding’s two weeks away. You can still prevent it from happening.” Brutally tugging him over, Charlené smiled and sat down. “Good afternoon, Candy.” A pleasant smile on her face as Charles murmured a quiet greeting.

Julietta remained silent as she watched the couple who had apparently had some issues. Was that.....Kathryn? She looked at Adrien. "I'm just walking over there, I'm not going to try running off again." She added grimly, before throwing in. "And nobody told you to keep an eye on us."

Walking over to Kathryn she looked over the younger girl for a moment. "It's been quite awhile Kathy, we all figured you'd disappeared off the face of the Earth."

Clearly trying to make light of the situation wasn't helpful, as the girl remained sullen.

"Yeah. I supposed you would figure that after awhile." Kathryn said, ordering herself a glass of water. "So, how long did it take for you all to actually figure out why the hell I left? I know you're not that bright, but still, Dad should have at least been able to."

Julietta was struck by the coldness in her sister's voice. Kathryn had been a very sweet girl growing up and had loved just about everybody she met instantly. Now it seemed the opposite.

Candy ordered a glass of tea before looking at the twins and smiling. "'Ello." She said quickly, and when her tea arrived she took a sip. She had already decided that no more alcohol for the night was a bright idea as her tolerance was low. "What are you two doing here?"

Tilting his head, Adrien watched Julietta before shooting the bartender a glare, telling him to stop with the mindless babbling and get him another martini. The heiress seemed to be making small talk with the human girl, although he didn’t really know the reason why. Rolling his eyes again and shaking his head, he let his mind wander and wondered where the hell Victoria was. Hn. Probably still sleeping.

Irritated, Charlené grabbed Charles and seated him down as well before turning to Candy again. “You know, stalking those guys,” she gestured at the various people inside the bar, Adrien, Julietta, Kathryn and Andrew. “She ordered us to, so we’re doing it.” She turned to the bartender and ordered some cocktails.

When Kathryn got up and walked towards the bathroom, Julietta sighed, getting up she walked over to Adrien once more. "So...............can we go yet?" She looked around, "I'm bored. You know if you two were going to take me hostage or whatever, you could have at least made it a little more interesting."

Candy nodded, "I see." Taking a sip of her tea, she looked around the bar, there wasn'y anybody else that she was up to talking to there so her gaze returned to Charlene. "I'm most likely leaving town," She told them bitterly, "After all, according to the Queen it isn't safe for me to be around."

“No,” he stated simply, staring at her. “Who said being taken hostage was fun? Stop complaining, at least I don’t have you tied up and gagged.” Rolling his eyes, he glanced at Andrew. There was something about the guy Adrien couldn’t understand. “God, you vampires are used to being pampered, aren’t you?”

Charles stood up, taking Charlené by the arm and tugging at her, muttering something about going to the restroom. “It is dangerous for you to stay, there’s going to be a war at the rate everything’s going. Her Majesty is thinking of your safety. You’ll understand soon enough,” the younger twin stated, amber eyes taking one last glance at everything before walking to the restroom and changing into a moth. He wasn’t ready for this, not yet.

Julietta's gaze traveled to where he had been looking and she frowned. From his attire he was obviously a hunter and he was with her sister. Looking at Adrien she smiled weakly, "You could say that." Looking back towards the bathrooms, she watched it for a moment before turning back and ordering another drink. He did have a point though, of course she wouldn't let him have a chance to touch her if he did decide to try that.

She glanced at her shoulder and her smile faltered. The wound had healed already, she had to admit there were perks to being a vampire. Seeing Kathryn come out of the bathroom she beckoned her over.

Kathryn approached her sister and the man she was with at a causal pace. "Yes?" She said inquiringly, and her gaze rested upon the man she was with.

"Say, Kathy, who is that man you're with," Julietta asked and brushed a strand of hair out of her face.

Kathryn flashed a diamond ring, "My husband Andrew. He and I are in town because he had work here, you see he's a hunter."

Julietta nearly choked on her drink and slammed the glass down on the table. Her eyes were huge as she looked up at the younger girl. "H-husband?! Kathryn, you're only sixteen! And a hunter no less!" She watched as her sister merely smiled and shrugged. "I've never even dated and you're married! What the hell did you do?"

Andrew watched the scene between the two sisters with a smirk and ordered another drink, and when it arrived he didn't hesitate to drain the beverage. Staggering a little, he stood up and made his way to the bathroom.

Candy frowned and took another sip of her tea. She had figured that they would at least be a little more empathetic. After all, she really had no desire to just pack up and leave the place she had been living in the past six years. Running a hand through her hair, she ordered a glass of wine and looked around. "Well, what should I do now then? Go ahead and start packing?"

“Great,” Adrien muttered under his breath, looking up at Kathryn. She was probably the human born girl Julietta had been talking about, since there wasn’t any sign that she was even remotely vampire. “Don’t try anything while I’m gone. I really will aim for your head.” He stood up, walking away. He didn’t need a catfight in front of his eyes with the headache he had right now.

Charlené glanced at her brother, who was now a bat and perched don the roof of the bar. He was a true coward when it came to those things. “Do you need any help with that?” the vampiress asked softly, still taking glances at her brother. “He’s really down right now.. I’m sorry…”

Julietta grimaced as she watched him walk off. Maybe she'd go ahead and play with him since she was apparently stuck with him. She had failed miserably earlier but it wouldn't hurt to try again with a different approached and in anycase, when she got bored, she could get rid of him and go on with her life.

"Kathryn, how did this happen?" She asked her under her breath, "You're smart, I can't see you getting married just because."

Kathryn said nothing and shook her head. Ordering a drink, she looked at her sister once more. "He said he loved me, and I believed him." It wasn't a lie but it wasn't the whole truth. "So here I am now. What about you? Hanging around with a hunter of all the humans in the world? That seems unlike you."

With a small smile, Julietta glanced towards the bathrooms. "His lovely assistant had the idea to trade our maid for me, so I'm stuck with him," She paused, "And until they figure out what they're doing with me, I'm just gonna stick around and wait. And that's a load of bull. But since I know you enough to know that you won't tell me anything until you're ready, I won't press the subject."

Emerging from the bathroom, Andrew made his way back to his seat. The place was crawling with vampires and in all honesty, it was beginning to make his skin crawl. He only knew of three or four humans in the entire place. Shaking his head, he ordered another drink and looked around for his wife, whom he spotted speaking with another girl he didn't know. Well at least he didn't have to worry about her getting to friendly with a vampire; she always had been terrified of these creatures.

Candy looked at Charlene, "That's all right." Taking a sip of her drink, she closed her eyes and upon re-opening them her gaze rested upon the bar counter. "And, I just need to figure out somewhere to go, but I don't feel like talking to my cousin I don't even know to find out where my relatives are." Shrugging; she added, "I'll probably figure something out, and I don't have a lot so packing won't be hard." From the tone of her voice it seemed that she was trying to be optimistic however her expression, which was a pout, said otherwise.

He found himself with the urge to just get rid of the princess right then and there, she was honestly more trouble than she was worth. Leaning against the wall and staring at the two women talking with each other, Adrien contemplated over the idea of just shooting Julietta. She wasn’t willing to talk so that didn’t serve much purpose to them anyways.

Sipping at her cocktail, Charlené lifted an eyebrow at Candy and laughed at her pout. “You’re weird,” she said, patting Candy on the head. “No wonder he likes you so much. Birds of a feather flock together…” Pondering, the brunette nodded. “Anywho, the Queen said you were looking for Andrew Vale, did she not? Maybe we can help.”

Julietta looked around and when Kathryn excused herself she looked up and nodded. Looking around, she frowned as her gaze rested upon Adrien for a moment, turning her gaze away she looked at her glass. It had cracked when she had slammed it down on the counter, standing up she walked over to Adrien. "All right," She said quietly, "We can come to some kind of a truce, can't we?" She forced a small smile before continuing, "I mean, it seems silly to be stuck together and doing nothing more than getting at eachother's throat. Besides, I'm sure neither us wants to die either, I at least know I don't."

"If you really want to, sure, I guess." Finishing her drink she looked at Charlene for a moment before setting the glass down. "Should we go now?"

He looked at her with an expression that asked, ‘What do you want now?’ before grunting a reply, standing up. “Do what you will, you’re annoying. We’re going back to the inn and forcing Victoria to wake up so I can get some sleep.” Running a hand through his hair, he reached out and gripped onto her wrist before dragging her out the bar.

“It would be a pleasure. We will miss you, Candy,” she said, though her eyes were now fixed upon Andrew in a subtle glare. Charles was now a cat, giner tail flickering as he balanced on one of the beams, eyes glaring down at Andrew. Her twin had never been fond of hunters.

Julietta sighed as she followed him. Well, she had tried, but then again, maybe he was just grumpy because of a lack of sleep? In anycase, she'd make it work, after all he could prove to be a fun toy. "All right." She said quickly, "I think that's a great idea!" Her tone was bright and energetic, and as looked around, she continued. "You look like you could fall over at any minute...."

Candy smiled lightly, and glanced over at Andrew. He looked like he was going to wind up drunk as hell later, so maybe it would be best to approach him now. Before he became too intoxicated to deal with. Standing up, she looked at the twins before approaching him.

"You're Andrew, correct?"

"Yes. This is he. Now how can I help you?" His tone was obnoxious and he frowned as he watched her grimace, "I don't have all day you know." Looking at her, his frowned changed into the smirk from earlier. It was that same girl he had figured was some broken-hearted teenager.

"Well you see, I'm you're cousin, Elizabeth. Braiden and Luna's daughter, and you see, I really need to know if you could tell me where some of our of ther relatives are?"

He looked thoughftul for a moment. Braiden and Luna had a daughter? He had heard something like that, but never had paid it any mind. "Well Elizabeth, if you must know, the closest living Vale relatives are in Italy."

She stared at him increduously and glanced over at the twins. He had to be kidding...Italy? The last time she had checked her family hadn't been that spread out.

Turning to her, Adrien grumbled miserably about random things like the headache and what to do with Julietta next since she was annoying. “What’s gotten into you?” he asked, walking own the street in the direction of the inn. “What happened to, ‘I’m not going to say a word to you because you’re a bastard’?”

Two pairs of eyes flashed up as they looked at Andrew. Relative…? Would that be classified as weird…? Gray and amber eyes met with each other as Charles paced up and down the wooden beam, ginger tail still flickering up and down.

Julietta smiled as she looked at him and cocked her head slightly. "I have no idea what you're saying," She said in a nonchalant voice. "I don't seem to remember ever calling you a bastard or anything of the sort." Shrugging, she turned her attention away from him for a moment before looking back at him, "And I will talk, if you can make it worth my while." Of course, the young vampiress never had said exactly what she would talk about. She knew he was tired and irritated, and she knew that he probably was getting sick of her already, but she was hoping to change that. After all, if she did she could use it to her advantage.

Candy looked back at the twins then forced a small smile. It was clear from his tone that Andrew Vale refused to be of anymore use. "Thank you." She said curtly before turning and walking back to her seat. Ordering a glass of tea, she looked at the twins, and grimaced. "Well he certainly is an open book, isn't he? Italy. If that is true, well.........I'm sure that the relative he mentioned could be anywhere within the country."

I may be miserable and sleep-deprived, but I’m not blind, princess,” he growled, taking her wrist and hurrying down the street. Pushing open the inn’s door, he continued the tiring process of dragging her upstairs and welcoming sleep.

It was quite obvious that sleep won’t happen for a while.

Blue eyes wide, he cursed loudly when he found the room empty. “Dammit, Victoria! What the hell?” There was a small voice that told him he should have just shot Julietta and got that over with. Instead, he yanked her in a locked the door, strolling over to the bed and sitting down. “Great. Still stuck with you,” he grumbled, eyes fixed on her.

Walking over to Candy’s side and taking her arm, Charlené leaned in to whisper into her ear, “There’s something I can do about that. He is a hunter after all.” Giving Andrew a challenging look, the brunette took Candy and gently guided her outside. “And if it doesn’t work, maybe you’ll have to get used to living off of blood.”

“Charles told me about your request. Apparently he was too chicken. But for the two of you, if you really want to, I’ll turn you.”

Julietta frowned as she looked around the room. There was no denying it; from the scent she could tell that another hunter had been in the room, and his huntress friend had been the hunter's victim. Odd. She had never heard of a hunter murdering another hunter, but then again she it was not often that a person heard of a hunter who was a vampire. Approaching the other bed, her frowned deepened as she looked over it, ashes or dust. and it hadn't simply collected over the short time they were gone.

"Well, your friend is definitely dead." She said quietly, looking at Adrien. Well that was one less hunter to worry about but still it bothered her a little. She thought about going to sleep however there was no way she would sleep in a bed where somebody had died. So if he didn't give up the other bed, which she wasn't going to ask him to do, the chair would have to work. "You ought to go ahead and get some sleep." She added, as she settled herself in the chair. "I need it just as much as you do, so I don't intend to try anything."

Candy looked at Charlene, surprise etched on her face. "You would?" She asked, before glancing around and brushing hair out of her face. "Really?" Well, she never had been keen on the idea of living off of blood, but if it was necessary she could; and she was pretty sure that she could get used to it. Or at least she hoped that she could at any rate.

“Serves her right, I suppose… She was lucky to have been in this business for so long at her state, anyways,” he said, almost carelessly, glancing at her when she mentioned the word sleep. A smirk came to his face, “But I can’t risk any chances, unless I have one of these pointed at you at all times.” He made a gesture at the guns resting at his waist.

Walking over and picking her over his shoulder, he dropped her down on the bed. “’Sides, even if you’re a vampire you’re still a girl. I won’t mind that at all. So you’re sleeping with me.” Bringing out Noire, he placed it to her neck. “You know the drill.”

With a soft smile, Charlené nodded. “That, or at least Andrew might see the signs that I’m going to bite you and he’s going to come out to shoot my brains out Not like that’s likely to happen, though,” she whispered, eyes slanting to slits as she extended her fangs. “Are you sure? There’s no turning back.”

Julietta stared at the hunter with an incredulous look on her face. biting her tongue, she literally bit back a comment she was longing to throw out at him. "All right....." She said quietly as her eyes strayed to the gun he had placed to her neck. "And do I really?" She asked toyingly, laying down she closed her eyes for a moment before opening them once more. She watched Adrien in silence, looking slightly uncomfortable at the idea of being alone in the room with him. Not only because he was a hunter, but because he was a man. Aside from the victims she often led into the allleyways to feed off of, she had never been alone with a man whom wasn't related to her before.

Candy nodded as she watched the vampiress, though her expression was uneasy. She was now sure that she could do it, but there was still one thing weighing heavily on her mind. Would it be painful? That was another similarity her and Lady Julietta had always shared, neither of them had a great tolerance for pain. Though of course, that was Candy's only real fear besides werewolves, unlike the heiress who had any. "I'm sure." She said as she glanced towards the bar before looking back at the other.

Giving her a subtle glare, Adrien muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, ‘Should have been much easier if Victoria actually took her shift…” before turning to her. “Or would you prefer bullets embedded down your arm? Vampires heal fast but with that many bullets, I don’t think so.” Flipping the gun around hi hand, Adrien smiled lightly. “I know what you’re thinking, but chances of you ever finishing me off when I have these are slim to zero. Don’t even think about it.” A moment later, he shut his eyes, seemingly drifting off into peaceful sleep. Well, scratch that. He still had the gun to her neck and was pressing it again her skin.

Tracing a finger down Candy’s neck as though to mark the spot where she was going to bite, Charlené’s voice grew even softer and even slightly dazed. “No regrets from Elizabeth Vale…” Her breath was on Candy’s neck, and Charlené didn’t even look remotely human at the moment. She was exactly what they were: predatory beats.

As her fangs drew a small silver of blood, the older twin stumbled and was pinned down against the bar’s wall. “What the hell, Charlené? She won’t make it! You know how much it hurts! And the Queen forbids human-vampire transformation, remember?” Charles turned to Candy, before closing his eyes and ordered, “Get out of here. Forget about us. You’ll be happier forgetting.”

I'm not quite fond of proboards, so I'm really sorry but I'll have to decline that invitation. Just, bad experiences with proboards, that's all. A million apologies. >.<
