When I was in sixth grade, I had a really tomboyish haircut because...SOMEONE...had stuck gum in my hair an we had to cut it out. Of course, I always liked to wear skirts, so...one boy asked me, 'Hey, dude, why are you wearing a skirt?'

He'd only seen me from behind, but then when I turned around, he realized I was a girl. Or, maybe it was me telling him, 'Because I'm a girl.'

Once, when I was around 12 or 13, I dressed up in camo as an army soldier for Halloween. My hair was in a ponytail and I was wearing a hat. I went up to a house to trick or treat, and as the lady gave me some candy she said "Aw, what a cute little boy dressed up as a hunter!" I kinda laughed and said "Um, I'm a girl, and I'm a soldier." It's kinda funny looking back on it now, although it was a little embarrassing at the time! ^_^

My hair is really short in the back, and I have like boy bangs...
I try to wear tighter(I'm a baggy shirt person) shirts, so my hips show, and people will know I'mma girl...

Only one occasion comes to mind for me, but it still makes me sad. :<
One time in middle school, I went to a skating place with some people, and it was 'girls skate free' that day.
They asked for money for me. :<
I blame the horrible short haircut my mom forced on me.

Oh my, no. I've always been very girly, even when I cut my hair short (nearly off and had a faux-hawk). I would wear long earrings and makeup on my eyes.
There was no mistake there.

I get occasionally mistaken for a boy. I've got short blonde hair and stocky shoulders, so that might be it. o_O I think it's kind of cool, though, to be able to pull off androgyny that well so that people can't tell what sex you are. I like it. XD

I've never been mistaken for a boy, I have a really obviously girly face. Even when I had really short hair like a boy, I never got mistaken for a boy... people just thought I looked Eastern-European!

One of my friends, who is a guy, used to get mistaken for a girl all the time when he had long-ish hair- it was still above his shoulders, though, but he just has quite a feminine face.
He used to work in a supermarket, and I was waiting for him to get off work, when this woman pointed to him, and said to her child; ''Go take that to the lady.''
I LOL'd, he sulked.

My boobs stand out to much for that though and I was still called out by creepy men. :S
And I was called a lesbian by other folks...

Yes, I've been mistaken for a boy once or twice in my lifetime... But i can't argue with them. I do look fairly boyish.

Hmm.. One time I was waiting in front of my school for a ride, some guy came up to me cause he thought I was a girl.

And then this one time I went to the eye doctor to take an examination, he kept accidentally referring to me as "She" and had to correct himself. >>;

I'm a lifeguard, and at work several times children thought I was a girl.
I've even had a boy or two start flirting with me until I start talking and they were like "Ho' shit, it's a dude!?!"

Which, in my opinion I totally don't at all look like a girl.
I mean, I have a dark medium-chin length messy kind of crop cut and maybe it's because I'm short and skinny(I'm like 5'3ish and around 90-100 pounds) BUT STILL.

When I was younger and had my hair cut short people said I looked like a boy. But no one ever acted like they thought I was a boy to my face, at least. Mostly I mistaken for some girl names Julia (when my hair was long, at least).

I've been mistaken for a boy, though I have no idea how. I'm 'well-endowed', to put it politely, so how they got it mixed up, I'll never know.
