This is a very ruff draft of a story I am writing. I plan on fixing it up at some point but after looking online apparently the best thing to do when writing is just to write down first and then revise later.

I don’t even have a title for it yet so sorry.

Over the years science had come a long way. Many things that had once been death sentences were now never seen. They had made it easier to live with new inventions.

A group of scientists had been trying to combine traits from different animals together. The idea was to take the breeding traits from a rabbit and add it to cows, pigs, and other similar animals. They wanted make the animals able to breed faster and with more offspring. If they could do this it would solve world hunger.

They had finally mangaged it. They had combined a rabbit and a cows dna. But it was not good enough. Now they needed to add something to make the animals grow faster. The scientists added more and more. Finally they had it down to a serum. The serum would make the animal breed more often and with more offspring, would make them age to the breeding age within weeks and then keep them there for about 2 years, and it would advance their natural traits.

One of the scientists realized how much he could make from this serum. He managed to sneak a vial out here and there. But something happened and instead of selling it he dropped it. Somehow this one scientist had managed to create a new breed. But no one knows for sure as the scientist was never seen again. Just the monsters that were shaped like wolves, breed like rabbits, with a size range from fox to cow, and a more advanced mind.

Because of this horrible incident many people died before anyone knew what was happening. Out from the darkness came other “people”. People that had been always thought to not exist. They could no longer live only in shadow with the creatures running around. Suddenly the world and all the humans on it found out that there really were vampires, werewolves, zombies, and other “monsters.” But unlike the creatures that had just been created they did not want to destroy. They had been happy staying in the shadows, being unknown. They came forward and said they would help if the humans would let them. But the humans seeing something else that was different shunned them and turned down their help.

Raven woke up suddenly. Something was wrong. She looked around. They had been there to long. She stood up, she had not even taken of her shoes. Raven looked around the small room until she spotted her sister buried under a pile of blankets.

“Wake up carebear. We have to leave now,” Raven said as she shook her sister awake.

“Are they here?” Carrie said as she set up quickly, flinging blankets away.

“No, but we need to leave before they are. We have spent to much time in one spot.”

Raven grabbed two backpacks, swinging one of her shoulder and flinging the other at Carrie.

“Rae where are we going now?”

“I don’t know but we have to leave. Now.” She grabbed her sister’s hand and ran out the door. They ran down the streets. Going from one side of town to the other. They had reached the good side of town. The part that hard a park on one side of the road and big houses on the other. Suddenly one of the creatures jumped in front of them. Rae leaned down and picked up a stick. She pushed her sister behind her. The creature jumped at them only to be hit away mid jump by the stick. More and more of them came from the park. Raven hit another one but her stick broke. She flung the remaning end at another one. Carrie handed her another stick, but when Raven went to hit with the stick it broke. There were no more sticks left. The only thing left to do was run.

Once again she grabbed her sister’s hand and took off. She knew they could not out run them but they had no choice but to try. Suddenly there was a great pain in her calf and she fell forwards. One of the creatures had bitten into her calf shreeding her muscles.

She looked past the creatures towards the houses and saw a very pale man standing there.

“Help her,” Raven yelled at the man as she pushed her sister towards him. She thought she saw a slight smile on his face and a nod of his head, but then something hit her on the head and the world started going black.
