I have windows vista. I;ve had it for about 8 months now and recently i found that i still have the Microsoft Office home and student 60 trial thing still in my system.

Because it is a trial can i delete it?I don't want it to screw up my system but its taking up 334MB of space that i could use.

The safest thing to do is go through your control panel > add/remove hardware (or whatever it's called on Vista, I can't remember) and removing it that way, or removing it via the "uninstall" option it probably has in one of its folders. That will ensure that no harm will come to your system.

Out right deleting it probably won't cause any trouble at all, either, but will almost definitely leave some .dll files or something that will just take up space. The leftover files probably won't cause any trouble.

Either way, you're safe to remove trial hardware like that. ;)

You have to uninstall it just like any other software, because it's just software. (not hardware)

You can't just go around and delete any application on a whim, because they're tied to registry entries, shared files, etc, but there's no reason you simply can't uninstall it like any other software.
