So...hello, Mene GD. :D I was just listening to this song, right? Specifically, Bath Room by The GazettE. For those of you unfamiliar with them, they have two guitarists, Aoi and Uruha. Aoi plays rhythm guitar, and his part plays through the left channel; Uruha plays lead guitar, and his part can be heard through the right channel.

Now, I've always believed rhythm instruments are highly underappreciated...and I like listening to Aoi's part. From someone who's tried playing along...it's a lot harder than it's taken for. But I can't hear very well in my left ear. And today, I just randomly started wondering...what would this song, or ANY of my favorite songs sound like, if I weren't half deaf in that ear?

I'm not even upset about it. I've had trouble hearing out of that ear since I was a baby; I'm so used to it that I don't even notice it unless I have to switch between ears on the phone or try to listen to something in my left ear for any reason. But for some reason, I just suddenly started to wonder. What would it sound like if I could hear better out of that ear?

It's not the first time I've wondered something like this. I've wondered what it would be like to be able to see well unaided, too - I've worn glasses since before I can remember. And I've even wondered how it would feel if I were missing my right leg, or got shot in the shoulder...for the record, I have no idea where those ones came from.

And yet none of this makes me depressed (or thankful, as the case may be). It's just sheer curiosity.

So, I'm curious - have you ever had moments like that? Where you just wondered what it would feel like to experience something unfamiliar, whether you wanted to experience it or not? Or...am I just nuts? XD;

Aaaand, I always wondered about the experience of being sucked out into the ocean by its undercurrent. Being completely helpless and I drift farther and farther away from the beach. Not being able to touch the ocean floor. Thinking about it makes me start to hyperventilate [email protected];

Wow Alien, I've wondered that too. I'm in the same boat. xP Always wondered what it was like to be a teeny tiny girl that could fit into everything. xD But anyways, yea, I think everyone has. I keep wondering what it's like to be a guy. As weird as that is. -.-

Hmm....that's different.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like if we didn't have noses.....just little holes int he middle of our faces >___<

And also, how it would feel to be 100 pounds more. I've always been so small my whole life and still haven't reached my goal of 110. But I have always had this weird fetish of wanting to know what it would feel like to either be the average weight or to be 200 pounds. Everyone complains so much about it, I am kind of curious as to why. Personally, I find it to be better to have meat on you, because I have almost none and I'm almost ALWAYS cold. I have to take a sweater everywhere I go and it's SUMMER.

And you get weird stares and mean rumors spread about you. Plus, I want to know what the weight difference would feel like when walking...

EDIT: Just saw the above ^___^ It's not as fun being teeny. I'm always scared of being kidnapped and/or rapped cause I'd be more helpless than others because of the lack of weight and it's harder to gain muscle to get stronger. So I rarely go out alone...actually I don't think I ever do unless I absolutely have to, like to get gas. And then I'm always onthe alert and with something sharp near me. Hide and seek is fun though.....until you hit your head onthe dryer door, then it hurts.

And the undercurrent is very terrifying and exhilerating! I went to Panama City Beach a few years back and got sucked in the undertoe. It was only about ten seconds, but felt like ages. It was weird, because it wasn't long enough for me to freak out under the water, but long enough to see everything in slow motion. I didn't really realize it happened until thirty seconds after I "escaped". No one really noticed, they thought I was just swimming. But I got out of the water afterwards.

I always wonder what it would feel like to have a tail or a 6th finger or toe. Any extra limb for that matter, just to see how you could control it. I have a hard time as it is controlling all my limbs, but to have something like wings or a tail too would just be.... I dunno. Really really cool XD

I, personally, wonder how things would look if we could see a broader (or narrower) spectrum of colors.
That's pretty much all I can think of right now. :D

Mostly I wonder about physical pain and I'm VERY good at visualizing.

When I was younger, before I broke my leg, I often used to wonder what it would feel like to break a bone. I'd always imagine a more painful scenario, because I always like to keep the doubt of "You have no idea how painful it really is" in mind.

I was very surprised that when I DID break my leg, it was extremely similar to the situation I imagined. I think in the end, it helped me deal with the pain.

But, as sadistic as it sounds... I imagine quite few different scenarios.

Getting hit by a car and crashing into the windshield.
Drowning.
Getting hanged.
Getting lit on fire.
Falling off of a high thing.

[email protected] Quite scary.

I've also wondered that. I'm completely deaf in my right ear and I have a hearing aid in the other. (you can't see it unless you look at me from an angle, thank GOD! The older ones were uuuglyyy). I've never known hearing in both ears, and I've never switched ears while on the phone. I have to have closed caption when I watch tv, but none of that really bugs me.

What bugs me the most is that I can't locate sound, since all sound just goes in my one good ear, so if someone is calling me in a crowded room, I'm usually swinging in all directions trying to find the voice. People find it funny, and I suppose I would too, if I were someone else, watching me look about in all directions.

And the undercurrent thing! I've gotten caught in ones for about 10-15 seconds before and it's scary as hell. But I was talking getting caught in one for five minutes and being dragged waaaay out into the ocean. OMGOMGscary. D;

Angel Naomi: That's freaky, trying to imagine another limb. And even trying to imagine missing a finger or something. I use to super glue my ring finger and middle finger together when I was younger and pretend I lost a finger. > >;

I've always wondered what it would feel like to be a dog.
I know that's weird, but my dog seems to be so unconditionally loving and incredibly cheerful all of the time.
Plus he can run around non-stop for hours on end.
I wanna know what that feels like.
x3

I also wanna know what chocolate tastes like, I'm allergic to dairy so I wanna try a piece of every dairy food I can find at least once before I die.
xDD

I wonder about all sorts of weird things like that. I have too busy of a mind to not think of anything so things like that come up often with me. It's mostly negative things like what it would be like if I wasn't around or never existed in the first place. I also think a lot of what things would be like if I lived in a different time or place.

I've wondered what it's like to be blind or deaf before. But I don't want to be blind or deaf. D: Thinking about it in depth makes me super depressed. I like seeing and hearing. ;_;

I've wondered what it's like to drown. Don't worry, I'm not going to go throw myself in a lake or something. I just wonder if it's like, really peaceful, or if your body starts to panic, and it's scary and confined.

Hmm... I've also always wondered what it's like just to be another person. I've always wondered if people see colors and taste things differently. Or if they think differently. Like, not different opinions, but if their mind just works vastly different from mine.
Because sometimes it seems like I have a harder time focusing and comprehending things than other people. And other times it seems like I'm the only one to understand something.

I also want to know what it's like to be a guy! xD

Valkyrie - Uhh, you can have chocolate NOW. Not all chocolate has dairy in it. ^^ Milk chocolate will make you sick, but dark chocolate shouldn't, as far as I know. And dark chocolate is delicious.
(Now, of course, you'd want to talk to your doctor or whatever before you tried it, just in case. But I mean, I've known lactose intolerant people who could eat all kinds of chocolate as long as it wasn't MILK chocolate.)

Yeah, as far as I know, dark chocolate is totally safe for lactose intolerant people. But definitely look into it, since I'm no allergy expert, and we don't want you to like... die or something. o_o Or get really really sick.

And, dark chocolate is more popular now. So you can get like, dark chocolate chips. So you could make chocolate chip cookies!
I mean, I think you need milk to make cookies, but I'm SURE you can find a milk-free recipe online! :)

Oooh, dark chocolate. Delicious. I eat the kind of chocolate that's so dark, most people would probably spit it out upon tasting it. Hee hee.

Anyway, I've always wondered what it would be like to have a thumb on my right hand. I don't really have one there, and I never have (long story). I just can't imagine what it would be like, it just seems like a completely alien concept to me. I forget other people actually have two thumbs. XD Also, I've always wished I had giant wings sprouting from my shoulder blades, that I could fly with for hours and hours. . . I've always wanted to know what flying and having feathers feels like. Oh! And raising one eyebrow! I've always wished I could do that. . . I could go on with this forever.

I've always wondered what it would be like to just have like a tail or maybe some wings.

It makes me wonder just how big the wings would be so that they could lift me up, cause I'm not a small girl, I'm a big girl. I mean I love my body, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be maybe 30 lbs lighter. I'm working on it... lol.
