Past Puzzles

Day One: Word Search!
Words have been hidden vertically, horizontally, and diagonally in these grids of random letters. Your job is to find and circle each word! Print out the sheet or use your favorite image editing program to highlight every word that you can find.

There is no word bank provided. All words are at least 3 letter long. Pay attention to each developing theme - If you find a short word that doesn't fit in with the others, chances are that it isn't a correct answer.
Send Knerd the final image, not the list of words you found. :yes:

Medium! Find the 20 Words

Hard! Find the 25 Words

Day Two: Boggle!
Use these random letters to form as many words as you possibly can! Search for words that can be made from adjacent letters (where "adjacent" cubes are those horizontally, vertically or diagonally neighboring). All words can be either singular and plural, but cannot use the same letter cube more than once per word.

Find as many words as possible - People with the most words will be rewarded!
And be sure to list your answers alphabetically. ;)

Day Three: Cryptograms!

Time to break the code! Each one of these messages has been encrypted using a substitution cipher: Each letter in the original message has been replaced with a different letter of the alphabet. Your job is to translate it back into English using the two clues!

Day Four: Word Morphs!
Change one letter from the starting word in order to form a new word. Continue on to create a chain that links the first word with the chosen ending. The challenge is to complete it within a certain number of steps.

Sample:
Head -> Foot
Five steps

Head -> Bead -> Beat -> Boat -> Boot -> Foot

SPOILERX

Easy!
deer -> fawn
7 steps or less

Medium!
bird -> erns
6 steps

Hard!

Day Five: Polygons!
Here's another chance to test your vocabulary! Make as many words as you possibly can by combining letters from the polygon, with all solutions containing the letters (in order) within the center.

Letters can only be used as many time as they appear in the puzzle and each word must be at least 4 letters long. You may rearrange the letters however you like, so consecutive letters in a word do not have to be touching each other in the polygon, but the center letter/s must always appear next to each other in the given order.

The users who submit the longest lists of verifiable English words will get the prize. Remember to alphabetize your words. :yes:
