Ahh I see. Some groups will be okay with a free first meeting so that people can decide if they want to pay for it or not, which I think makes sense.
I'm going to Barcelona tomorrow for about a week. I'm taking all my toys with me and a bunch of cameras. Who needs a change of clothes anyway? 8D

My mum's already found a juggling store in the handbook she got from the library. xD I might buy some fire stuff! Oooh exciting!

And if I come back to find out you did not go to the meeting I'll.. I'll.. I'll be very cross! Very cross indeed! Dx

In a sense. I'm getting booted from my dad's house before I leave for college. Which I already knew was gonna happen..but it's still annoying. There isn't enough room for me here. T_T The room's being handed over to my stepbrother next week (coincidentally, the same week my grandfather comes to visit...) and I have to figure out how to make it fit in my mom's basement, which is my current room/house-storage. Then I get to sort through EVERYTHING there before I leave for college in September.

D8 The fitting everything in and sorting sounds tough and annoying. Hope it all works out. *Mai hugs*

You can do it! 8D I believe in you! * 3*

I think I will watch "Brother Bear 2" tonight, since I watched the first one yesterday. I love that movie! 8D I just hope the second one is at least decent... usually Disney sequels are not that good, IF that. XD

0.o...I don't think I've seen the second one. ...Not sure I want to. I liked the first, but I don't know how making a second could add to it. I remember Bambi's sequel being pretty good, though. =]

And...my room is now a massive explosion. Probably won't be able to go juggle tomorrow after all, since I've gotta have the whole room and all my clothes and stuff packed up and ready to go. Then a visit with the eye doctor on Friday...and blahhh T_T At least I finished my part in getting the student loans goin'. Gosh that stuff's long and boring...

Heeeeeeey! I'm back a little bit, though I'll probably disappear again over the weekend. Barcelona was great, though I didn't buy any juggling toys.. I really wanted to buy a pair of ribbon poi but I didn't find any I really liked enough, and I didn't find any firestix either. I'm probably just going to buy some clubs when I get back to London since they take up a lot of space in packing.. I tried them for the second time yesterday at practice, it was fun! Still only doing two but I'm getting okay at that so hopefully I can add the third one soon. : D

How have you guys been?

Hey! Glad your trip was fun! I'm alright, though I feel like I'm just doing too much at once. Grandparents' last night in town tonight, and I'll hopefully have a babysitting job soon. And then helping clean my mom's house, packing up my room at my dad's, getting things ready to go to college, eye appointments galore 'cause of retinal problems and trying to find hangout time with my friends before I disappear...:gonk: I've been so stressed...

Sorry to hear you've been stressed, I hope it hasn't been too bad.. having a lot to do is better than having nothing to do though! I've hardly had time for the internet the past week or so, but I've been busy having fun, so it's all good.
What's wrong with your eye? And when do you leave for college again? (I'm sure I've asked this before, sorry..)

When I went for my first eye appointment for some backup glasses since I've only had contacts for a couple years (kinda inconvenient sometimes), they noticed my retina was swollen. So they put in a referral to the specialist and I had to go back to get it looked at again. That doctor said it had gotten better since the last appointment (only about 1 1/2 weeks earlier), but can't figure out why it happened in the first place. I still need to go back for blood work before my check-in on Sept. 3rd. I leave for College on the 8th, so she wants to make sure it doesn't suddenly flare up again or anything and hopefully will have an idea as to why it happened by then, since all my tests show that I'm actually in great health--usually this kind of thing might happen in people with diabetes or high blood pressure or something. Other than that, I had to go for a separate appointment to get a new prescription for contacts.

It's been better lately, and I landed a job as a temp. babysitter until the family goes on vacation for a week right before I leave for college. XD My friend used to babysit them, but she just left for college in Colorado today, so she asked me to take over last week so she could get ready and leave without worrying about them. The kids kinda produce their own stress, but I'd much rather stress over a couple of bratty kids than whether or not I'm gonna go blind.

And almost all my stuff is finally at my mom's house now. We've gotta get everything put away, get rid of an old rotting desk, and make sure the carpet's cleaned before we bring MY furniture in, since they're inherited from my grandmother and we have an air conditioner problem where it leaks all over the floor. =/ Once the place is tidied up and my mom saves up enough money, we're definitely getting it fixed. But right now she's already working tons of extra hours so she has money to do stuff with me when she drives me down to Savannah, Georgia for school. She really wants to take me on a ghost tour and maybe do a dinner cruise one night. And she's helping me buy stuff for my dorm. So..T_T I feel kinda guilty, but I'm gonna try not to worry too much over it. >.>

Oof. Hope it's nothing serious or anything. >.o And that the babysitting job goes well - how old are the kids?
Sounds like your mum really cares for you. It's good to have a good relationship with your parents, I keep appreciating mine more and more. And they keep helping me out financially while I'm at uni as well.
Buhh just got back from circus practice, there was just one other person there and her kid, so we just stayed for maybe 40 mins and then left. I was feeling so tired too, been really lazy all day.. now I'm just exhausted, think I'm just gonna watch something and then go to sleep early for once.. maybe I can then go to the library early tomorrow to work on my essay before my weekend starts. : D

I just bought a shiny shiny staff today! :D So much fun spinning it around! Tried it for the first time this summer but then not again till last week when one of the guys at one of the juggling meetings I went to had one, and I asked to try it. He showed me a couple more tricks and now I'm just dying to know more.
On another meeting last week, there were these two guys teaching a few of us some tricks with three balls - they're hard rubber balls that are great for juggling but can also be used for contact, and the tricks they taught us were a mixture of contact and juggling, very cool. I bought three acryllic contact balls, but I really should've gotten the other type to do both with.. though playing with multiball is also very fun.

Uhh yeah, I'm just going insane getting new toys and trying new things. :D

Haha that sounds like fun! As a quick update, since it's been a while, my eyes are fine. They're just gonna keep me under observation for now. :D

I haven't found any jugglers here at art school I'm kind of amazed. I'm sure there are some in the Performing Arts section, but I haven't even seen/met any of them! Everyone I've talked to has been either a Grad student or in Fashion Design, Sequential Art or Animation. I've only seen one Sound Design major, too. I'm kinda like "..where are all the other majors!?"

I try playing around with a smallish-mediumish bouncy ball thing (like the ones with glitter in them that swirl?)..but it's hard to keep control of, so I try not to do that too much. Don't want to accidentally fling it at my roommate while she's working on design homework. D;

Have you checked whether the school has a juggling society or club? My uni has lots of societies and I'm sure that I actually saw an ad for the juggling society when I first joined two years ago, I just hadn't started juggling then so I didn't join. I remember thinking it would be fun though.. I'm going to try to find out whether it's still going and join if it is, would be good getting to know more people at uni, especially since I just moved a lot further away from it.

Haha, that would be bad. I love the glittery bouncing balls though! My friend has one, I could stare at it for hours, I swear.. xD

So far, I think staff and contact jugging are my absolute favourites to play with. Oh, one of the managers at the pub I live above told us the other day that he and another manager also juggle! He does three balls and also unicycling, I can't remember what the other one does.. but he wants us to teach him more things and also he wants to arrange regular juggling nights! He's even asked us to spin some fire for their Halloween party, might even be able to pay us a bit for it, which would be awesome! :D I am so in love with this place..
