Welcome to the Lockdown

The city of Haven is beautiful and a ritch cultural point of the country. Things seem quiet and peaceful, but there is more going on below the surface. A special force of the military, known only by the name CRONOS has been watching Haven for awhile without many knowing about it. Haven seems to be a center for unusual or odd energy readings, coming from various places and people within the city. It is believed the energy is there from a fracture between this world and another that has laid under the city for centuries. There have been incidents with places and people who have been "infected" with this energy, in which CRONOS has stepped in and taken control, covering it up. It seems however, more and more incidents are begining to pop up, leading CRONOS to believe that this energy is harmful to people, and causes them to slowly lose their minds over time, endangering themselves and others around them. The energy and abilities that sprout with being exposed to it, seem to be connected to something within the people's lives at the time or the place where they were exposed. In one case, a swimmer came into contact with the energy in a lake over a period of time, causing him to gain the ability to breath underwater, and to swim at inhumane speeds. He was responsible for the drownings of fifteen people. There are various levels and ranks that CRONOS classifies these people as. The incidents and the growth in infected people as well as the severity of cases that have begun to pop up, have caused CRONOS to be pushed into action. A blockade has been placed all around the city, completely cutting it off from the outside world. No one gets in or out without passing through one of the checkpoints. CRONOS has plans to stop this incident before it spreads, which means erraticating all those who are infected with this strange energy. They have sensors, which measure the level of this energy given off from a being's body, and will bring them in or kill them on sight depending. It is beginning to affect plant and animal life as well, causing the city to become in a state of quarenteen and lockdown. No communication with the outside world at all, police patrols and armed guards everywhere. Food is being delivered and handed out as needed, but how long can the peace remain as fear of the unknown reasons fot this lockdown, and the odd occurances with the energy begin to rise. Who will be left standing in the end?

Factions:

The Infected- Beings who have come into contact with the mysterious energy located in various parts of Haven. They gain strange abilities connected to where they were or what they were doing when the main infection took hold. They follow a type and rank system of CRONOS. The energy has proven to break down one's mental state over time, causing them to go mad in the end. It is infecting plants and animals now as well. The cause of the lockdown, and to either be studdied or to be killed on sight by CRONOS.

CRONOS- A mysterious military type organization, who has been watching Haven for quite some time. They are ment to contain and control the outbreaks of infected caused by the energy, and deal with situations that result. They are studdying it, unable to find a cure, they have issued a lock down as well as the "erratication" of infected. It is unknown if they plan to allow anyone to truly ever leave the lockdown. They control the blockade as well as the checkpoints and the resources coming in and out of the city.

Innocence- People who have not been infected. They may be working for CRONOS, or simply caught in the crossfire. They have the choice to help infected, or to standby and watch. It is unknown if they will be safe or survive the lockdown.

Infected Ranks:

D- Rank D is the lowest rank of the system. These are Infected with powers that are not deemed to harmful, or those who can not do much physical damage at all. They are considered to be not to heavily infected, so are not always easy to track down, since they do not give off high levels of the energy.
EX: Enhanced basic senses.

C- Rank C is the second lowest rank. The infected in this rank, are considered to be remote harm and danger to opperations, as well as to people around them. They are usually the rank that is caught most to be brought in for testing and observation, in search of a cure.
EX: Breath underwater, See through walls, Telepathy, Level readers.

B- Rank B is the second highest rank. These infected are cause for guard, and have abilities that have been labled as a threat. They give off higher levels of the energy, and are typically the ones most seen within the lockdown next to rank C. They are deemed to be brought in or brought down. Their infection is stronger then both C and D.
EX: Telekenetic, Element Control, Strength, Speed.

A- Rank A is the highest rank, as well as the rarest. These beings are considered the highest infected, and tend to be the ones who's infections deterioration period excells faster then others. Their powers are considered a high threat, most being deemed a kill on sight, and require severe caution or force.
EX: Poison, Shapeshifting, Induce physical or mental pain (to the point of death), Posession/Body hopping.

3. Yaoi and yuri allowed, so respect this, and if you do not like it respect those who do.
4. PM all profiles to Me titled with the name of the Rp or they will not be looked at (NO ACCEPTIONS, and limited spots, so first come first served)
5. Keep ooc within the ooc, I do not like ooc in the rp thread, so keep it out. This is your only warnning.
6. No killing off other characters without their permission, but npcs are free game if you wish.
7. No godmodding please -.-
8. Please post at least a good sized paragraph per post, NO one or two liners.
9. I will add the rank to your CS if you are playing an infected. Do NOT just assume a rank and then get mad if I change it to a lower or different one.
10. Try to post at least every few days to keep things moving.

Ariette (Ari) Marionet

Ari pouted as she ate her strawberry snowcone. She noticed the odd people moving around in suits, many of them on phones. Her senses were going crazy, and it was taking all of her energy to stay in her seat. She knew those shady men had to be up to something, and she wanted to know what it was. She glanced across the table at Torri, who was quietly enjoying his sushi, and she could not help but giggle lightly. He was a wolf, though he liked fish. She found that oddly funny. Looking up at the sky, it was a beautiful day out at least. Not to hot, and a nice breeze kept things cool. There were many people out today, shops and cafes busy as usual. She loved the city, so busy and active, there was never really a dull moment. She kicked her feet slightly, under the table. Her foot connected with the main bar holding the table up and she froze, biting down on her spoon. Torii glanced up at her, and she attempted a half smile as a chill ran through her body.

Ow, that had not been smart. She looked down, observing her foot. She really did need to get some new habits for when she was agitated or attempting to sit still. She took another bite of the cold yet sweet ice and smiled happily. At least she had a good treat to keep her in her seat as well. A light happy hum took up inside her, and she noticed the smile that came to Torii's lips. His hat had slid down, covering one eye as usual. He always wore it, no matter what. It gave him a slight mysterious look to her, though some thought it made him look tough like some gangster or something. In her opinion, that was obserd. Torii was one of the sweetest most gentle guys she knew. He would not hurt a fly, even with what was lurking on the inside. He seemed so calm at the moment, that she wondered what was going through his head at the moment, though she doubted that he would tell her what it was.

She noticed a few black vans drive back, to many to be convinent. She rose an eyebrow, unable to sit still any longer. Slamming her hands down on the table, she stood. "Ah! What are they up to?!" she turned, taking off down the street, only to freeze after a moment. She turned around, coming back to the table, and grabbing her ice. She then turned once more, and continued on her way towards the direction that the vans were heading. She was aware of Torii probrably following her, but she was on a mission. She did not stop, following them towards city park. On the large gazeebo, people were setting up for something, people she had never seen before. Some people had already gathered, looking on as they worked. She paused, crossing her arms and glared slightly at the gazeebo. She was going to find out what went on, and here looked like the place to do just that.


Torii Yukiko

Torii enjoyed sushi, he did not know why. Fresh fruits and fish were his favorites, they always had been. Ari enjoyed sweeter things, which was why she was enjoying a strawberry shaved ice. The two ate in silence, though he knew she was on edge. Lately, there had been odd people coming and going through the city, and she was determined to find out what had happend. He felt the bump in the table, and looked up at the girl across from her. She had kicked the table, trying to mask the pain with a smile. He could not help but smile, as she went back to eating her ice. She seemed so happy and content for a moment. He liked seeing her happy. She was usually constantly running around onto some adventure or case, dragging him along with her. He did not mind really, though she was not one to give up easily. In this case, the only thing that happened when seeing the people come and go, was succeeding in making her even more determined to find out what was going on around the city.

He himself did not mind much, though he did not get to good of a feeling with these people. They always seemed to be watching, and looking at the people like they were not really people. He felt the wolf inside of him stir a bit at their presence as well. He had done well in learning how to control it for the most part, he owed a lot of that to Ari. If it had not been for her, he would have been lost at the begining. She was his reason for staying in control, and a lot of the time, his reason for living now. He looked over at her, seeing her squirming a bit in her seat. It was all she could do to sit still. He picked up another piece of sushi with his chopsticks, about to eat it, when she slammed her hands down. He nearly dropped the piece, as she stood and took off running, pausing only to return for her ice. He smirked a bit, before he finished his sushi quickly. He stood, following her down the street, though she did not pause or look back,'

He knew there was no stopping her. Once she had her mind set on something, she was headstrong, and had to see it through. She headed to central park, stopping to look at the set up that was begining to take place on the gazeebo. He tilted his head for a moment, looking it over. This could not be good. There had not been any word of anything being scheduled here today, plus the added more activity of those odd people on top of it all. He looks over at Ari a bit, as she took another bite of her ice. The look in her eyes, made him smile a bit. She looked so determined, though she did not let it stop her from eating her ice. It was kind of amusing, she had plenty of cute little quirks about her, things he admired and others that just made her..her. He looked back at the gazeebo, noticing security moving around it and the park. Whatever was going on, it was serious dispite the casual feel at the moment. If it had to be guarded, it ment something was going down.

James Smiled as he looked at a photo of the girl in his wallet he let out a sigh as he sat down in a central park bench it had white paint that seemed to of been chipped mostly off revealing the brown wood color. "it's been twelve years hasn't it" James said to himself but a sharp pain ran up his spine ant yet James didn't flinch he had gotten used to the pain he had been feeling it for about six weeks it seemed that the healing had only slowed down the time he had left James crossed his legs and leaned his head back he thought about the agency it had been awhile since his life was threatened by heavily armed forces he smiled it was nice to be safe.

James sat at the bench for about an hour the park seemed abandoned for today it was quiet and nice when a couple kids ran by still young "must be nice to have someone you care about" James was about to shut his eye's when he noticed a high jump in security he looked back at the casual couple in the gazebo "no it couldn't" he shook the thought out of his head kids that wound wouldn't of be chased by this much security it might just be another riot they seem to of been happening lately but you cant be to carefree around people like these James sat up straight watching the guard movement.

Ari finished her ice, giving a content breath. She walked over to a nearby trashcan, and dropped the cup and spoon in. Turning back to the gazeebo and the men, she clenched her hands. "Alright, we're on the case!" she smiled.

"What case exactly...?" Torii tilted his head slightly, watching her for a moment.

She gave him a slight look, "come on! These guys have to be around here for some reason!"

Torii took another look, she was right, there had to be a reason. The question was, if they really wanted to know that reason. This place, these people, they were making the wolf inside of him go on edge. His hand moved slightly to the side of his head.

Ari noticed the movement, a slightly sad look passing over her face. She knew about the other side of Torii, that reaction typically came when it was growing more active. Her determined look returned "you stay here and keep a look out, I am gonna go gather intel." Before he could reject the offer, she was off.

Torri sighed, she was always rushing off without thinking things through. What if she got caught? He watched her go up to one of the guards, talking to him for a few moments, before she began slightly walking around the gazeebo in search of whatever she thought she might find. It was then that a scent caught his attention. Being in human form, his senses were not as straight out strong as when as a wolf, but he could feel someone nearby...like them? He turned, scanning the people within the park. This had been happening more lately, something was deffinetly going on within this city. He could not pinpoint these particular scents as a human, though he doubted going wolf would help the current situation. He pulled out his phone, flipping it open for a moment, a text from a coworker at work reminding him about his shift later. He sighed, he felt bad leaving Ari alone at times, but it could not be helped.

He took in the other scents of the park, he could smell some food stands, as well as hear tidbits of conversations. Getting used to the odd benifits of being part wolf were still taking some getting used to, after all this time. He sighed a bit, and looked back over at Ari A slight smile forms as he saw her so determined to get to the bottom of things and solve the mystery. It was kind of cute.

James watched there movement they seemed to be surrounding him but tried to not show that he was own to him but they girl he saw walked up to the guards and spoke to one of them many thought ran trough his mind but one stuck could it be are they working for them and they found out about him "hmm I wonder" he couldn't conform that without being attacked James could take the police if he had to but if those two were Cronos then he may be in more danger then he thought he would have to deal with them first or he could try walking away may by they wouldn't notice him "dumeass there looking for you they would just fallow you" James mumbled to himself before standing he noticed that the girl seemed to be wandering around the gazeebo she seemed to of lost something James carefully made his way up to her without letting down his guard down with the other one "seems you've lost something do you need any help"

Ari pouted a bit as her search so far was coming up empty handed. She noticed the man approaching her, her look turning to one of more serious quality. Was he working with these creeps? She tilted her head for a moment when he asked if she needed any help. He seemed a bit odd, slightly putting her on edge. "Just...looking for an earring" she said with a smile, putting a hand over the lobe of one ear. "Coulda sworn I had it earlier...seems to not be here, thanks for asking though~" she hurried past him, the guy giving her the chills. She made her way quickly back over to Torii, feeling safer when she was standing next to him. She glanced back at the man, and then slowly tugged on Torii's arm. "Lets get out of here,....that man is scaring me" she whispered, before turning to walk down the street.

Torii had felt his nerves and senses kick up as the man approached Ari. He kept calm and merely watched, not wanting to rush in and overreact to what could be nothing. That was not his style, so why did this guy make him feel like being protective? He watched Ari say a few words, before she hurried back over to him. He could see the slightly unnerved look in her eyes, before she said the man scared her. He looked back up at the man as she walked away a bit. He said nothing, before turning to follow her. This was turning into an odd day indeed.

James nodded "Ok I guess" James said suspiciously watching as they started walking away when they got further James removed his steel skin that was covering his body that was hidden under cloths he was happy that he didn't have to fight yet anyways James turned he couldn't see the two kids but knowing that he wasn't done here he noticed that the guards were geeing closer and closer before they started to unbuckle there guns looking at him James sighed as they razed there weapons at him "Freeze your coming with us" James looked at the security guards as he put his hands together "God forgive me for I am about to sin" James said before turning his skin into a steel like form and like he thought the police opened fire but it was to late there small arms were basically bouncing off of him and he quickly cut through the men crushing in ones scull with his fist "dame they shot" James said turning back into his more normal looking self but his suit was all cut up he knew that the gun shots were going to travel so he quickly started walking for the road.

Torii pulled Ari close as he herd the gunfire.

She squeeked a bit, closing her eyes tightly and threw up an field around the two. She was glad that they were nearly invisible, so not to attract attention. Many people were moving to see what was going on, though the area was being closed off already. Ari looked up, feeling Torii's heart racing against her back as he held her close. A light blush formed, even now, he was thinking of her before himself, dispite her shielding abilities.

Torii looked down at Ari, seeing her looking up at him, he gave her a slight smile. Odd things were happening around the city a lot lately, and now this? He looked back, to see the man from before walking away. He shakes his head a bit, he needed to get Ari out of here for now.

She did not protest as Torii took ahold of her hand, pulling her away from the park. She would deffinetly return when the speaking started, but for now the firing was enough for her to agree they should back off. For a moment, she had been scared they had been found out, taking a slight breath of relief. Their secret was still safe, for now.

James sighed as he noticed the kids again, "I guess they saw something oh well" He said before continuing down the road.
James knew that Cronons would be here soon enough so he would have, to find a place to stay until they calm down on trying to find them.

James soon found himself at a small cafe he found himself a seat after ordering a coffee at his seat he would beadle to see anyone enter the building and leave.

For a moment, he watched the man through the window of the cafe. He sat on the ledge of the roof across the street. Tilting his head slightly, he smiled slightly. This was turning into an interesting day. CRONOS was on the move, and plenty of the infected were out and about as well. Looking at the man, he had the scent of death over him and around him as well. He was a darker man it seemed, one who would not waste time in taking another's life if needed. He looked out over the city for a moment, before standing. In a flash, he was standing by the door of the cafe. He stepped inside slowly, moving along the floor, towards the table in which the male sat. He smiles, slowly sliding into the chair across from him, without a word.

"A beautiful day...is it not?" he asks, crossing his legs. His slender fingers intertwine, folding his hands in his lap. He watches him, not in the least bit worried or concerned, not on edge at all. He looked at the cup in which the other sipped from, wondering what his tastes were. Bitter things were not his forte, he prefered lighter, sweeter things. For now however, it was not what was important. He looks at the man once more, patieently waiting for him to make a move or a response to what he had said. He made no move himself, calm and collected. He did not offer his name, and for a moment wondered if he sould use his, or the one he had been given by CRONOS. He glanced out the window for a moment, there were a few people out and about. He was not worried about the organization for now.


Ari sighed, as the two of them walked down the street. "This is annoying!" she said, clenching her hands slightly.

"It is out of your control" Torii said, walking a few steps behind her.

She huffed, turning to face him a bit, "what is with this town today?"

He was unsure how to answer her, something was going on, something big indeed. Ari seemed to be on edge wanting to find out what was going on. He himself was a bit more pattient, though he was interested in discovering what this day would hold as well.

Ari watched him a bit, he seemed distant and a bit far off. She wanted to ask him what was on his mind, was he ok? A sound interrupted them, a van off across the street. Police officers had an ally surrounded. "What is going on?" she asks, rushing over.

"Ari" he rushes after her.

James looked at the door no one seemed to be suspicious, he sipped at his coffee it wasn't bitter but not to sweet to him he was calming down around the city after his incident but his eye's were drawn to the younger man who had walked up to James's table siting soon after, but what he said wasn't what he expected "eye of the storm if you ask me" James said engulfing his arms and upper body in organic steel, as he sipped at his coffee revealing his steel covered hands.

James sat at the table thinking about who this man was or what he wanted he could tell that he wasn't a Cronos agent because no one entered after him and he seemed strange, "My names James Keller may I ask yours" Jame's said sipping at his coffee one more time before turning his head to face the boy.

He smiled lightly, "my identity hmmm?" He reaches out, wrapping his slender fingers around a salt shaker in the middle of the table. "Tell me.....when an ant hill is disrupted or invaded, the ants begin to swarm, chaos ensues yes?" he asks, without looking up. "I wonder what will happen when the little ants in this city are disrupted..." he lightly tilted the shaker to the side, a few white grains spilling out onto the table into a pile. His silver eyes remained on the grains. "What path will you choose James Keller?" he asks, before sitting the shaker up once more.

He looks up at him after a moment, his eyes holding a slightly mischieveious look to them, but at the same time calm. He waited patiently for a responce, he was curious about what the man would say when faced with his little warning and riddle. It was something odd indeed to think about what would happen when CRONOS carried out their plans for this city. He kept his thoughts to himself however. To much information was poison all at once to a mind, especially one that was already deteriorating as it was.

James tilted his head to the question it was strange what would he do if the people were swarmed into chaos James didn't know what to say this question was strange but it made him think about what he would do, but James's eye looked into the mans as he knew what he would have to do if this were to happen "I would protect those weaker then me even if I have to give my life".

"And yet you take the lives of those weaker then you to survive as well" he says, "interesting." He tilts his head, "what makes a person worthy of living or dying in your eyes?" he gives a light chuckle. Standing slowly, he leans over blowing lightly on the small pile of salt he had made. The grains scatter. "None will survive as long as the pieces are scattered and standing alone" he stands up straight. "All pieces of the puzzle must stand as one to make the picture complete....don't you agree?" he turns, casually walking to the door of the cafe once more. He did not expect the other to understand, or to see what was coming. None of them would, until it was to late.

James wondered what the man meant by this he had no idea, what this boy was talking about it was strange to him but he looked at the split up salt peaces he then grabbed the pepper and dropped a couple in the mix "then one's with power would have to rise to save the weak", James said to himself before standing leaving as well stopping before he passed the boy "but just because the picture is complete that doesn't make it beautiful it just make's it hole" James, said before turning and walking down the street.

He smiles a bit as he watches him. His remark causing a flutter of amusement to rise in his chest. "Risking one's life for others...while in turn taking lives as well" he chuckles lightly. He looks up at the sky, "a complete puzzle may not always be the right one, then again, who's to say? Who decides hmmm?" He looks back down in his direction. "Will you survive?" with that, he vanished unseen.

Steven looked out at the gazebo from atop a building across the street from the park. What is going on? he thought to himself looking around at the crowd that was gathering. He noticed the two teenagers walking around and asking questions. For some reason he could not stop following them with his gaze, his gut told him there was something special about these two and was following them when he heard the shout of the guard. Steven snapped his head to the side just in time to see the man of steel punch a guard in the head. Note to self: Keep away from Iron Man he mentally noted but began to follow the teenagers from atop the buildings of the city. When the two stopped and the female ran forward is when he dropped down from his vantage point. He approached the young man from behind and said "So what is it you and your friend can you do?"

Torii froze as the voice came from behind him. He turned slightly to look at the one behind him. He did not recognise him, so he was merely a stranger at this point. It was what he had said, that made Torii feel the wolf inside of him stir. "What do you mean?" he asks calmly. It was no way to know for sure what the other was speaking of, but it was not everyday someone just came up out of nowhere and asked you that. He was more worried for Ari's sake then his own, glancing back to see she had moved over to the crowd by the ally. He wanted to be by her side, she needed him and he did not like leaving her alone in situations like this. His protective senses were kicking in in more ways then one.
