Library of Dreams




The Scottsdale Public Library is officially open for business.
After 3 long years of construction and red tape, the village is proud of host its first book haven.
Stocked with classics, nail biting mysteries, the latest best sellers, corset-ripping romances, and many more,
everyone is excited to finally begin checking out their favorite reads.

But after the village patrons go home and the librarians turn off the lights, a strange thing begins to happen - The books are coming to life!

Something in the woodwork has given these literary characters a life of their own, allowing them to talk and explore the library after hours.
How or why, they do not know. But their adventures are only limited by the books they can find.

Rules

1. Please follow all of Menewsha's Rules

2. Material should never go beyond a PG-13 level. This includes Romance.

3. Users are asked to try their best to type at a semi-literate (or above) level. No one liners, please.

4. All actions must remain true to your chosen character. Their personalities should stay canon.

5. In order to keep a wide variety of characters available, please try not to choose characters that come from the same book/series. We don't want the entire cast of Harry Potter running around, do we?

The Library's basement is currently off-limits to due continuing construction. It is assumed that the basement will house the library's archives - Art, rare manuscripts, letters and diaries from historic citizens of Scottsdale, etc. All donations to the library will be moved onto the premises when construction is completed. Until that time, the basement is off limits to the public and is tightly locked up each night.

The Master Librarian's Office is also locked up each night when the staff leaves. It is unknown what is being kept in this study.

However, the rest of the library is currently open for the public. People may travel between rooms at their will.

I agree! If you hadn't actually made this, I was thinking of doing a Disney one where you could only select Disney characters. But I like the possibilities and vastness you can achieve with the broad title book. Oh I can't wait to see what people pool in with. X3

Yeah, I had that problem. I was going to do Simba from the Lion King's book, but instead a chose a manga. I couldn't recall what the book was about. xD

It's actually inspired by Silverbeam's Imagination, an RP that never really got off the ground. I made some little changes just to open up the plot more, but the general idea was, uh, kinda sorta borrowed.

For shame! Not really. XP And nope Sammykins, I don't know that manga. I might read and watch a lot of manga/anime, but I don't know that one. I actually don't know that many. I'm such a n00b. T_T

I didn't know about it until I found MangaMax or SunManga, esentially the same site... It's interesting. You know how everyone always uses nekos and kitsune as creates even with humans, in that they aren't. They are animals, pets. It's pretty cool.

Psh, OneManga is the place to go. And I don't believe I have actually read or watched an neko or kitsune manga/anime. I'm made of fail. T_T

And nah, I'll keep my current character. She's just so innocent and sweet. After the boys, gets one, and then realized the first guy she liked likes her. YAY drama and romance. X3 Oh and Knerd, I love the change of signatures. I can't figure out which one I've liked yet. They have all been pretty spiffy. :)

OneManga is good too I just don't like not being able to see covers XP I mainly go on trying to find new ones to read XD

Well if you have any suggestions, you better pass them onto me! I could use some new manga to not buy. I think $400 worth of manga is enough for two years. ^^;

Mmm, I have no idea how much I have XD I have at least that XP But yeah, you should check that one out though at sunmanga. It's mature in a sense seeing as animals have no issue with nudity but there's really nothing to worry about it in. Oh! and Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, that's a good one. And so is Meru Puri XD

Manga is completely out of my league. :lol:

I really need to start reading more manga, especially since it's so readily available. All I've ever encountered before now are the basics: Naruto, Fruits Basket, Death Note, and Bleach.
