Given the two options, I'd go with screamo. I get tired of the repetitive beats I associate with rap.

However, in my OPINION, I feel that Brokencyde is a BAD example of screamo. While they do scream, I feel as though BC is more "Crunk Core" than screamo. Most bands considered screamo have a certain style of music that goes with it. For me, Brokencyde falls into a subcategory of rap.

Screamo doesn't have to be screaming through the entirety of the song.

If someone were to ask me what band to listen to so that they may get an idea of what screamo sounds like, I'd recommend mid-age From First to Last, such songs as The One Armed Boxer vs. The Flying Guillotine, Note to Self, or Ride the Wings of Pestilence.
A Bullet for Pretty Boy may also be a good example.
There are a lot of bands that are considered screamo....but I don't feel as though bands that use nothing but computerized beats should fall into that category.

neither personally. Though there are some songs that have rap mixed into them along with regular singing that I actually like, so I guess I like some rap but usually when it's mixed with singing. But I don't like a lot of the full length rap songs.

screamo just gives me headaches. I don't understand the point of people screaming lyrics. Just hurts my head, plus I can't even understand what most of them are saying.

I cant stand both of them >.< Rap most of the time dont make sense nor always about same thing (Eminem is different) Screamo just hurts my ears soo no thanks to that lol

I prefer "screamo" (even if I don't consider it an entire genre XD). But it depends on the amount of screaming they do. Like I can't listen to Bring Me The Horizon for long periods of time without getting a massive headache o.o;
