I always choose Disney songs for vocal recitals and such. Sometimes musicals, but Disney more so.

So many favorite, but two that are up on the list are:

"Heaven's Light, Hellfire" from Hunchback of Notre Dame
"A girl worth fighting for" from Mulan

I like a lot of songs from Mulan actually, but that one's just so silly and fun. :P

Omg, I really really like Disney and their songs. The first movies song, when they do a sequel the songs are usually not good ;(

But anyways, I really like "Part of your World" from The Little Mermaid. And I really like the Tarzan songs.

You made me go and listen to Part of your World (Cheryl Wright version) xD

Hercules, Tarzan, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, and many many others are great movies with great songs.

Alan Menken and Howard Ashman have to be the best music-writing duo ever to exist. After all, all the Disney songs they composed were the greatest.

Alas, Ashman passed away in 1991, and Disney songs just haven't been the same since. Mulan and Hercules had some good songs, but they just can't compare to Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast.

Matthew Wilder and David Zippel did a great job with Mulan, though. And I really liked Jerry Goldsmith's orchestral work in that film, too.

But you just can't compare to the Menken/Ashman combo.

When I was in choir in high school we did Disney songs for one of our end of the year productions. That was definitely the most fun I had in choir, along with the year we did Broadway songs.

I'm a total Disney music nerd. I've got everything from "Minnie's Yoo-hoo" up to the Emperor's New Groove. And then I've got Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and Japanese versions of songs. I never really liked the Pochahantas music in English, but it sounds WAY better in Cantonese.

My favorite movies, music-wise, are The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Mulan. Heaven's Light/Hellfire is my favorite song, hands down. Followed by the Mandarin version of I'll Make a Man Out of You.

I won't talk about Disney in general because I just did a study on racism in Disney films and I don't want to spoil the thread, but my favorite songs are ones from the oft-neglected Hunchback of Notre Dame. Actually I love everything about that film, especially the visuals, it's just so beautiful. <3 You can tell everyone working on it was genuinly inspired.

I'm rather fond of the Lion King songs, and the Little Mermaid. They're adorable!

But I actually quite like a lot of the Disney CHANNEL songs as well haha.

There's way too many good Disney songs! The one I listen to most frequently is the Unbirthday song from Alice in Wonderland and Be prepared from the Lion King.

But I also like Gaston and the Mob song from Beauty and the Beast. Just around the riverbend and colours of the wind from Pocahontas. The Siamese cat song from Lady and the Tramp. Prince Ali and Arabian nights from Aladdin. Two Worlds and You'll be in my heart from Tarzan. The Oompa Loompa song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory amuses me. I like most of the songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas too. This is Halloween and Kidnap the Sandy Claws especially ^.^

I love Disney songs - I own CDs with disney songs on them :D I also own park song CDs as well - i have the millenium celebration CD. I sang a song from the CD called Promise for my last concert in highschool - it was an AMAZING song to sing and the audience loved it and gave me a standing ovation :D it was really funny --- after the concert - this boy I new in chorus with me came RUNNING over to me "How come you didn't TELL me you were singing this song!? I LOVE this song! I didn't think anyone else KNEW of it!!!" and I was like "O.O I didn't think anyone else knew of it either" lmao - so i'm not the only fan :D XDD

Sometimes songs like A Whole new World and songs from the little mermaid and the Lion King are overdone - but hey - i Love them sooo :D As long as they're played or sung right - I'm fine with it. But there is nothing worse that a horrible rendition of a classic disney song D:

Yessss....Disney songs rule *_*!

I think the music in The Little Mermaid was so amazing *_*! Ariel's voice was gorgeous...I wanted so much to be like her when I was young XD LOL

But pretty much every Disney cartoon has at least one song I love! Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, they're all great!

Now if only they could get the plots and characters to be as good =_=".

Aww I love Disney songs! All the singers, especially the female ones, have such beautiful and strong voices. For me, it's so hard to match them, and I totally admire them (even though I wouldn't call myself a vocalist/singer).

I like so many songs, including the ones from Aladdin, the Lion Kings, the Aristocats, even the Goofy Movie. XD

Disney songs are such classics. :'>

Oh hey you did Science Olympiad last year too? XD I remember that; I was in sounds of music too! That Ash Grove song was stuck in my head for the whole day because you could seriously hear different people playing it if you walked around. >_> ANYWAYS.xD

I <3 DisneySongs. They're like...the best songs to sing to. :D A couple months ago I even found a cover of A Whole New World by DBSK [korean boy band] <3 It was just...too cool XD I don't really like the newer versions of the Disney Songs but some are okay. Nothing beats the original versions sung in the movies though. n_n

Mulan songs are probably the most amusing to sing along with, in my opinion. XD

I've downloaded/listened to some of the Disney songs in different languages too. It's interesting especially if you understand the language to see how they alter it to fit the melody and stuff. Like I can sort of remember the lyrics to Part of Your World in french etc. XD
