I'm not depressed... although if she keeps on saying things like that, I will start believing it. >.< *sighs* I just hate it, because I'm sick of trying and just having it feel like no one wants to talk to me. It's a surprise, even to me, that I keep on trying - especially when I just expect to be rejected now. Just with everything combined... doesn't make for a very happy me right now, and I have to pretend like everything is fine, because my parents will start to question everything... and that'll just make everything worse.
And sometimes guys just don't understand that they actually need to work on trying to be sensitive. *hugs* But I can see that, and I know how that is - needing support and encouragement from people online. That's how it is for me too. I mean my parents are supportive, but lately, they've not really been helping any. :(

Ugh, self-fulfilling prophecy. No, no, no , no, no. <---sorry, I just get all up in arms when someone repeatedly tells another person something that brings them down. My parents are famous for it, or they were before I started associating with them less and less. Now I try to let anything they say roll off of me like water off a duck with varying degrees of success.
I wish family members weren't particularly well equipped to hurt us, whether intentionally or unintentionally. There's nothing quite like being in a house filled with family and thinking to yourself 'they ought to love and encourage me, and realizing that they do and probably mean to, but that everything they say seems to contradict that notion. It's much like feeling alone in a crowded room. There are people there, and they're talking with you, but they're not really there for you.

Nope, it's not bad at all. Everyone deals with unpleasantness in their own way.
Clockie shouldn't have to stay in anywhere that makes her feel uncomfortable.

I am shocked to hear about your situation at home and your parents like overworrying about you.
My parent should be more worried than yours. As I don't even keep in contact with my real life friends. I am sure you are definitely no trouble in socializing.
Although it is easy to say because I am not in the same situation, but. Have you try telling your parents about how you feel?
Just to be positive example. I branched out. My group of friends, other than Seito.
Are different. My 07 and 08 era friends are totally different with what I am more together with. I branched out. No problem.
My old mene friends are all quit or forgotten or hiatus or just seldom come around.

I haven't noticed any cliques. the problem is, so many people are leaving and then people leave because their friends leave. People aren't willing to stay and try to make the new friends and the site better.

Oh, I agree, and I do my best to try to avoid it but when my mom just keeps bringing it up over and over and over and over again.... Basically now she thinks that there is something wrong with me because I'm lazy and lethargic... which I'm not. I'm just not as active as her! D: I don't normally spend this much time with them... I'm home for an extended period of time for one semester -- I so can't wait to move back out for school! D:
Oh, I agree! Like they say that they're here to help, but when I tell them something about how I don't want to volunteer at the barn I've been volunteering at because of how I've been treated by people there - she acts like I'm depressed. Um, no... I just don't want to be treated like crap with underlying insults about how I'm not doing things right... from the people I'm working with, thank you very much!

Nothing new with my parents, honestly. And they're not really this bad all the time. Doesn't help that this is the first extended stay I've had at home since I moved out for college years ago. Oh, you see what you want to see - I really do struggle with offline socialization. I usually hide from people.
Yes, I have tried to tell my parents, and they say they're trying, but I don't believe the, because they keep doing things that they said they'd not do.
I've tried branching out, but that's not really who I am. I can... but then the friends I made all don't want to drive this far... it's not really that far but to them it is... so I'm stuck here...... D: And I've tried to branch out on here... that's when I keep hitting rejection after rejection.

Makes sense to me. Volunteer work should be about helping out and making a difference in a way that lifts you up and make you feel good. I helped out in two different animal shelters during college and the first one turned me off something fierce (the could care less attitudes of the staff and the conditions were appalling), but the second one was like a second home.

You should say that:
"That is because you are online three times more than I do! Many others disappearing on you too, your own fault!"

and then, and then, I can blame you back, we can have blame wars!
