"Probably because I'm not." Elizabeth sighs. "I thought going to college would be a grand adventure, that I'd figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Instead I'm just as lost as ever, and I don't really belong at home anymore, either."

Luchen looks puzzled at the word 'college', but doesn't ask. "I see. Then do something else." He says this like it's an obvious solution. And an easy one.

Beth laughs. "Like what? I don't know what I want to do and college is the traditional place for figuring that out. Besides, I enjoy the school part of it, I just don't enjoy the social stuff."
