Yay nemo's here! Hopefully the other people will join in as the month progresses eh!

And thats totally fair enough haha. My ideas been in my head for years it just keeps evolving and getting bigger so i think im finally ready to give it a go, and i'm verrry excited! New things get added and characters are developing daily so im super happy.

Do you have any set in stone characters yet? Or just the names? ^_^

Yep yep! I'm here! =] Boy... that nap was nice - even if it was unplanned. [lol]

Oh, I do have ideas, definitely, but I've jinxed myself in the past - so I don't want to do that again, also given the randomness of last years novel... [XD]

To give an idea of the randomness that struck me when writing last November, here's a brief excerpt from last year's NaNo Novel:

And as for characters, I've got a few names, but no set name... probably Madison or Daphne for the FMC and not sure about the MMC but we'll see. *lol* I'm sure one will come to me. =]

And yay!

hehe that sounds funny, poor pinneapples! and i do like the name Madison! Its so preeetty, and i know a couple in real life too :P

My main characters will be Alexander ( a prince ) and Roderick/Erik for short (the magician/advisor/guy thats always with Alex)

Erik is the one evolving at the moment. I'm in the process of creating his life history and why he ended up in the castle instead of the magicians guild!

And my female main character will be an Elven Princess called Mae'ya (Maya but spelt elven and pronounced a little different, think May-ah)

Oh and the other sort of main female will be Rosalyn (she's the dukes daughter that was set up to marry Prince Alex till he ends up on Trae'Von (the elven continent) - pronounced Try-ay-von

Im super exciting about writing a human falling in love with an elf hehe. Love story with a twist woop!

Oh and my world is called Eldonia, what do you think?!

Yeah, I Was kinda out of it, and loopy -- and I was hungry.... for fruit... can you tell? [lol] Yeah, lately I've fallen in love with the name Madison... but we'll see.... My Main Female Character's name changed a few time last year, so I tend to not set names in stone. *lol*

Right now, if you'd ask me, my main male characters name would be something like Robert or Jonathan, or Gregory, or James.... yeah... can't pin point it apparently. [rofl]

And oh, nice! Yay for evolving characters! =]

haha, i struggle so much with names. I was writing the plan with titles instead of names for ages and still am for the most part!

Rosalyn was extremely difficult as she is a lovely character to start with but ends up being evil and actually being the cause for the war in the first place so i needed a name that was sweet BUT ALSO evil. I guess it'll do though xDD

And thanks, Mae'ya came quickly actually. It suddenly came to me that using "ae" in alot of the elf names would both look and sound cool and eventually people will realize the pronunciation so i just wrote loads of names down then started changing the spelling to add ae in there :P

Names are crazy hard for me as well! (if I don't know a charrie's name I'll write "You know, that guy with (insert hair colour here) who likes (insert character here)" or some other way of figuring out who he is. HAHA!)

Haha i guess we all have our special ways!

How are you preparing then? Just working on your plan or reading other books to get a few ideas? xD

[lol] I didn't really prep last year and I'm so busy with my life, school and all that, that I don't really have prep time. I do have a bit of time right now... but I'm still sick so I don't have the energy. [XD]
I just write and wherever it goes, it goes. I know for a fact that it's going to take over and go in ways I don't expect and I do have some ideas but last year, it didn't go to plan at all. [XD]

hah yeah i've heard mixed opinions on planning.

Some people like to go in blind with just a main character and a genre but others totally overplan and research then go nuts cause its not working the way they expect it to.

I wanna go in WITH a plan, but have a very open mind. Cause i really do expect ideas to change as i go and who knows, the ending could totally unexpected when i get to it!

Infact i haven't really planned my ending yet xD

I know its a war and the war ends..sort of. but yeah, not sure how they manage it yet haha

That's how I went in - with Character names and that's just it - and I managed to win. =]

Just know that even if you do have a plan, sometimes things can change drastically.
Just warning ya. May not, but who knows. :P

Sorry if I seem in and out right now - I've got a few exams this week -> One tomorrow and One Wednesday, that I've not studied for yet. [sweat]

Oh don't worry hun we've got weeks to chat about it yet hehe.

Im just getting over-excited but it'll switch to nervousness soon im sure D=

My homework for tomorrow IS. learn how my portals (if i use them) will work, and decide if dragon-riding is writable!
