Double posting help please
 

My browser took too long to submit my post and when I refreshed the page after it had been submitted, it had been posted twice.

I only hit submit once, and I know that double posting isn't allowed. I edited the second post to explain what had happened. I know double posting is against the rules, but will I get in trouble for a complete accident?

I hope not. I'm so sick of Gaia and Kinsaki and I like it better here. I don't want to get in trouble for something that was completely out of my control.

After I edited my post, I had remembered the option of deleting a post being offered once while editing. But when I opened it to edit again, that option wasn't there. Is there any way I can delete my posts should my computer do it again?

No - you won't get in trouble if it was obviously a mistake. :) No worries. You can use the http://www.menewsha.com/images/forum/buttons/report.gif report button to notify us of an accidental double-post and the staff will take care of it.

On the new software, it seems that accidental double-posting is common. :x

Out of curiosity, were you using the Quick Post or the full comment version?

I was using quick post. And it tried to do it again but I cut off the load before it did it. Well, it tried to when I edited.

So I can report my own posts if they're doubles without getting in trouble? That's a relief. I almost did that, but I was afraid of getting in trouble.

I am having the same problem. I can't find how to delete my extra post. Can we not do that anymore?

Oh, should I have someone delete it for me? or report it?
