Animals can act strangely in certain situations. They are unique in there own ways and many have their own personalities, fears, interests, and abilities. But my question for it is do you think that animals can sense things that we humans cannot?
Approaching storms, paranormal events, bad people.. What do you think? Have any stories you want to share?
As for me, I believe that they can. Animals can sense things that we cannot and our own pets even will warn us. I believe that they can sense bad weather, ghosts, evil doers, and can even tell when someone is ill or disabled in some way.
When I still lived with my parents, Chico, their pug (he was my dog when I lived there, but wasn't allowed to take him..) was lying down with me one night when he randomly did something he never had done before. He began acting very strange. He was pacing back and forth on the bed and began whining and soft barking. I thought maybe he needed to go out, but he didn't. Then he would jump off the bed and start barking in one direction of the room, jump back up on the bed, pace some more, and then jump back down and continued barking at apparently nothing. Next thing I know, this sweet and gentle dog, jumped up up the bed as fast as he could and jumped on my chest, where he laid down an began growling towards the wall as if he were protecting me. It was quite and odd experience because it was something he had never done before. Was it a mouse? Possibly, but there had been mice in the house before and he doesn't or hasn't ever taken notice to anything like that. Whatever it was, it had him spooked. It was something i couldn't see, feel, or hear. But he felt the urge to protect me all of a sudden. And let me make this clear, that dog is a coward! He is scared of everything from plastic water bottles to cardboard boxes, but he made it clear that night that he would protect me from whatever it was he was upset about. And then after that night my parents talked about how he would act upset and bark at nothing every now and then. He would pace and then randomly run to the kitchen opening and bark like crazy while growling. He doesn't constantly do it, but he does every now and then. It is just so.. odd for him to do anything like that.
