Perfect Bliss

You caught a glimpse of her, and you knew that was her.
She became that pretty face you longed for, for so long.
You held out your arms, wearing your heart on your sleeve.
She walked right into them, welcoming that warm safe feeling.
You hold onto her, and gently kiss her lips in perfect bliss.
Yet, you have no idea what is going on, within that beautiful soul.
She knows of pain, of shattered hearts.
You opened her heart, to a whole new world
a whole new kind of love.

For you, she fights to live in the moment.
She fights against, everything she’s known.
Her body shakes underneath your arms,
she doesn’t know how to let go of old pain,
that aches through her veins.
You look at her with loving and caring eyes.
She looks beyond that, she searches into the depths of your soul.
Where, she finds a surprisingly new feeling.
She finds a burning flame of undying love.
You’ve comforted her, stroking her hair,
and caressing her soft face.
You both know that, the future could bring anything,
its a scary thought, and feeling, but again
with open arms, you both welcome it with pleasure,
knowing that as long as you have each other,
nothing else will ever matter.

It reminds me a lot of two characters I have. This poem has such a 'feel good' vibe to it. Makes you want to smile

inspiration really must hit you to write a good poem. sometimes i just wake up and lie in bed forming a poem in my head, then i go and write it down real quick so i don't forget it. i myself have written several good poems. by the way, where can i post my work?
