Roadtrip to Crystal City

On a busy traffic clutter road
we sat and waited
while the dark clouds that enclosed behind us
were merely evaded

And somtimes we sit and stare
at the city before us
Floating upside down in air
I can't help but be scared of it

Mom just smiles
and drives for miles
while dark clouds approach before us

I rather be the one
to drive backwards towards the light
instead of inside
or beyond it

This poem was inspired by a nightmare I had about a city made of crystal and hanging upside down in the sky. Not sure what it meant, but I thought it was interesting enough to share...
