There's many other people just like me at this strange lake, and they made me their princess after seeing that Rothbart put a spell on me that made me a beautiful swan.

Thus I can only see him at night and can't even speak to him during the day, just stare.

He became close to them and when Lucia's mother died the feeling of his mother's death came back to haunt him. Not wanting to lose Lucia, who he fell in love with, he took her on a journey to find a cure but ended up getting cursed.

Bio: Jake was originally born and raised as a normal human being in the 'normal' human world. He had thought throughout his life, he would live one that didn't go into any problems or drama. Though, before he even had a chance to realize it. On his 17th birthday, he decided to leave his home for the night; his family lived basically in front of a large forest, his parents all forbid him from going in there since they knew about the swan's lake and knowing it had some strange powers to them. Though, because it was his birthday; he felt as though he had every right to go see what was so scary about this lake. It hadn't taken Jake too long before he had finally come to the large lake only to find a bunch of swans swimming around. Seeing them he thought of how pretty they all looked, so he just decided on to go into the water to see if he could touch one. Although, by the time he had reached almost half way into the lake; he felt as though his body was getting pulled under as he immediately got out of the water and ran home. By the next day, he reawoke finding himself; much smaller than usual with paws instead of hands and feet. Not to mention a tail and black fur; and finally a pair of cat ears. At first, it was obvious to be a shocking discovery as he could barely even walk on all fours. His parents on the other hand, didn't believe their eyes when they saw how their son was changed into an animal. So without further due, they had thought maybe killing Jake would bring him peace. But of course, he wasn't about to let that happen as he snuck away from his own home and straight back into the forest, where he learned to control his power and lived on his own for the last two years.
