Alright, so this thread is going to seem backwards to some but bear with me.
Over the last two or three years, I have been steadily, and noticably losing weight. To be honest its freaking me out really badly. At first, i thought it was just a hormone change, since I'm only 18, but now I'm really not sure. Its not like I'm not eating. Quite the opposite actually. My friends have even given me the name black hole for my eating habits. I eat three full meals a day, sometimes four, with snacks in between. And they're good meals too. For example yesterday I had two pancakes, an english muffin, bacon, and two fried eggs for breakfast, pastina for lunch, and two bowls of spaghetti for dinner (yum). This morning I'm having two pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham and cheese.
I've gone from 123 to 111 and its scaring me (I'm 5'0" btw). Like I can see my ribs when I inhale deeply. =_=; I know some people are going to be mad about me complaining over this, but I'm freaked. Part of it might be because of the fact that I had to change my diet about the same time. I suffer from chronic migranes, a fairly sensitive stomach, and I'm lactose intolerant. Combine these, and I can't eat too much caffine, dairy, sugar, or greesy things without severe consequences (I'm talking vomiting all over, can't get out of bed, and spending a day or two in the bathroom severe). I also have an active lifestyle. I fence, exercise regularly, and am just plain hyper. From what I can tell though, I eat enought to balance it out. Its not like I' m walking around hungry all the time either (well, unless you catch me inbetween meals, which I then beeline it for the commons to eat).
To make matters worse I have a friend who is a recovering anorexic, and she has semi-accused me of haivng an eating disorder as well. My doctor also started asking me questions along those lines. This is a huge hit to my self esteem. Do I really look anorexic? >_<;
I guess my point is, am I overreacting? Am I freaking out over nothing? Do I have an metabloism of epic proportions? Should I stop whineing or do I have something to be concerned about? o___O;
Thanks for listening. <3

Maybe talk to your doctor and explain to them that you are worried about your weight loss even though you think you are eating properly

You shouldn't worry about your weight if you know you are healthy.
111 lbs is fine for five foot.

I think you might have an epic Metabolism. The fact that you are extremely active supports this. I myself have a rather slow metabolism, but when I eat I feel fuller longer because my body takes forever to process anything.
Although if you continue losing weight rapidly, I would talk to your doctor about eating foods that are nutrient-rich or something along those lines to try and not get to the point where you're underweight.
If your weight as stabilized, I wouldn't worry about it. :)
Off topic: I used to fence, too! I was sabre.

Thanks guys. I guess I'm just not used to weighing so little. Its very disconcerning to me. I just changed doctors and he didn't say anything about my weight so thats good.
@ Jenova: My weight has kinda stabilized...I think. o_O I'll look into more nutrient rich foods. My choices are kinda limited though, my college serves the food its going to serve and thats it. ^^;
Off topic: Haha, nice. xD I fence dry mostly, though I do dabble in electric and epee. I just started this year so I have no real experience yet. Its very fun though. x3 I really want to try sabre~ Gotta wait until the summer though.

Aaa, you've heard of hypothyroidism, right?
Slow metabolism, makes you gain weight...
There's also hyperthyroidism, which is~
pretty much the opposite. Along with losing weight,
it also gives you an increased appetite....
Here, I've fetched you the wikipedia page...
Maybe you ought to check the symptoms yourself,
just to verify how they fit you? ^__^'
Sounds like it off the top of my head,
but I haven't read too deeply.

@ Psych - If your weight remains the same for at least a week or so, it's stabilized and you don't have much to worry about. :)

You may be hypoglycemic. My little sister had a lot of the same problems as you when we were younger. She would eat a lot of food and not gain any weight, after she was done eating it would make her extremely hyper and she would bounce off the walls for the rest of the day. If she didn't eat when she needed to she would get dizzy spells or even faint sometimes. Hypoglycemia is basically when you have really low blood sugar, it's pretty much the opposite of diabetes. My sister would feel horrible if she didn't eat for hours I don't know about the headaches, but i'll look it up for you too.
These are some of the symptoms:
* nervousness,
* sweating,
* intense hunger,
* trembling,
* weakness,
* palpitations, and
* often have trouble speaking.
Or you could have a certain kind of Diabetes, there's 2 different kinds.
Common warnings signs of diabetes include:
* Increased thirst
* Increased hunger (especially after eating)
* Dry mouth
* Frequent urination or urine infections
* Unexplained weight loss (even though you are eating and feel hungry)
* Fatigue (weak, tired feeling)
* Blurred vision
* Headaches
* Diabetic coma (loss of consciousness)
If I missed any of your symptoms you can go to MedicineNet.com and type in your symptoms in the searchbar on their site, just seperate them with a comma.
I hope I helped you with what you were looking for.

@Lane: Huh, now that's quite interesting though it seems I only have a few of the symtoms and mhy blood tests have been normal recently. :3 I greatly appreciate you taking the time to fetch the page though. :D
@Jenova: Haa, then I guess it has. Though i don't really weigh myself that often...*doesn't know where the scale even is*
@Neurotic Cupcake: That...sounds like me. o_O I've never fainted from no food before but I have come close. It would actually explain quite a lot as well. XD I seriusly doubt the diabetes one, though I guess anything is possible.
I'll have a chat with my doctor when I go back for migrane medication. I'm not sure when i'll be able to see him though since his office is over three hours from my school. o_O;
Thanks for your suggestions guys. I really appreciate it. <3 Makes me feel a little less neurotic. xD

I am glad that I could help you out, you should talk to your doctor about it. I hope everyting works out, my little sister eventually grew out of being hypoglycemic after a while. Some people never grow out of it, it's pretty much a very high metabolism, so I think maybe you should eat stuff that will lower your metabolism or try to be less active. Good luck with your search for the answer, hopefully I gave you the right one.

111 isn't that bad for 5'0". My girlfriend is 5'0" and she's 85 pounds...xD; she's not unhealthy at all, but when you're the height of a child you can reach surprisingly low weights. O_O Now, if you I weight 111, it would be a problem. I'm 5'8". xD

There is no need for you to worry. I lost quite a bit of weight between the ages of 16-18. Plus I have chronic migraines myself. I have to go to a special headache doctor out of town and everything. After they put me on the diet they do (not really diet but you should know what i mean) I dropped 40 pounds. I wasn't big before...I act lose so much weight they had to take me off the med's because I lost to much. If you feel worried talk to your doctor. It could be your med's. But you shouldn't worry sweetie it's natural for that to happen or so my doctor told me.

Your weight stabilized, right? You mentioned that earlier, I think. Your weight stabilized and you're not underweight, you have no problem. Your metabolism probably got kicked into gear by something.
