They'll probably give her the medication they said she needed but the doctor wouldn't give her.

Because our regular doctors who owned the practice have retired leaving the only full time doctor being the one everyone avoids because she sucks. One of the cover doctors sent my Gran for a chest X-ray because she's been getting out of breath quickly recently. The hospital sent the x-ray back to the nurse saying she had fluid building up in her lungs and she needed this medication to get rid of it. The nurse can't prescribe medication so she sent her to the doctor, the doctor just told her to take an extra water tablet and my mum tried to argue with her telling her what the nurse said and she just kept saying just take an extra water tablet. My Gran is on the waiting list for a new hip and her pre-op was last Tuesday during that the anesthetist asked about the medication and my mum told her what happened and she said that the doctor was completely wrong and she was going to try and get her in with a specialist at the hospital for it.

Yeah. Sounds like you really can't get around someone like that unless you have a referral to another doctor. So, there isn't another practice she can go to that's close to where y'all live? That doctor sounds like a real cretin.

Doctors everywhere seem to be full of fail. You would think with their salaries they would care more about patients...

I know now at least here they get a bonus if they get their patients to a certain BMI so they aren't getting people to lose weight because they give a crap it's because they get money for it. typing without keys is hard.
