Somme City.

An entire city made by the ents of old. A city made out of millions upon millions of trees, entwined and growing high towards the sky. A huge city, one-hundred levels, with each level being its own city.
To find this city you must travel over the Groaning mountains, a rocky path that takes many a month to cross. Once over the mountains, you must travel though the Ent Forest, a lush and beautiful forest in endless bloom.
There, in the center of Ent Forest, Somme city towers above the trees that surround it. The city is booming with life, always busy, always something happening. Be you a traveler, or one that lives in this beautiful city, enjoy your stay, and may you stay long.

Enin broke the red was seal on the envelope. The symbol stamped into the was was Olympus'. Ginger, her speckled orange cat jumped up onto the armchair and sniffed the letter. Enin stroked the small cat. "You remember, don't you?" Enin asked the cat as it purred. Ginger had been Olympus' favorite cat.

They had not talked for a while. Olympus was always quiet and out of reach and he had to contact Enin first if he wanted to talk or meet or anything.

She unfolded the letter and read the slick handwriting she had only see Olympus use.

"Enin,
I had just noticed that we had not talked in forever. I thought you might like some coffee and a small break from your usual day.
Meet me in the usual spot around lunch.
It'll be great to see you again.
~L'sander"

Enin read it silently. He was right. They had not talked in forever and Enin would like to have a day off from the odd stares and screaming patients. Ginger mewed. "Oh I just fed you, you greedy cat." Enin complained to her cat. Joey, Ken, Shadow, and Lilly started mewing as well. "Oh, ganging up on me now? Sheesh." Enin got up and rolled her eyes at her cats. "You all are very cute an loveble but I have work and you all should be happy with what you got." Enin said, grabbing her bag and heading out.

The never ending summer breeze swept through Enin's short hair. It felt so much different to have short hair. She had just cut it a few days ago. "I wonder what Olympus would have to say about that..." Enin mumbled softly to herself. She wondered what Olympus had been up to lately. There were more signs and talk about him and the police guard had been upped. Maybe the upped police did not have anything to do with him, but it made sense.

"Afternoon, Miss Enin." one of the newer nurses said, nodding towards Enn. "Afternoon. Anything or anyone I need to tend to?" Enin asked. The nurse was a half blood vampire with large golden eyes and long red-brown hair that was up in a tight bun on the top of her head. "Um, yes. There is a little troll boy here with a stomach problems. Nothing big." the nurse said with a pointed smile. "Where is he?" Enin asked. "In room three." she said, pointing. "Thanks." Enin smiled and headed to room three.

Trolls were much easier to deal with than most others. Most troll children yelled and screamed at anyone that approached them when they did not want to be approached, so Enin did not feel hurt by his yells.

When the troll boy was well, Enin headed back to the main hall. "Send a pixie for me if I'm needed." she told the nurse she had spoke to before. "Alright." the nurse said in a cheerful tone as Enin left the building and walked on to the street.

Lilith had accomplished the task she was given, well that and snatching a new necklace for her own reasons. She took in a deep breath before walking past her parent's shop, her head turned and body language distictivley saying I do not belong here.... don't know you people. she thought to herself. The long purpley-pink hair swayed behind her back before she broke out into a sprint. She had to get back to L'sander for her next task was assigned.

Turning the corner sharply the hair shifted before smacking, someone in the face. A small smirk came to her face before she continued off. Brushing off the hair continued to sway as she tried to make it up the next three levels to her new "home".

"I'm so late..he is going to kill me..." she whispered to herself before she came to a halt. It was her cousin and her cousin's husband with their two kids. She took a step back before seeing what was behind them. The most gorgeous gown she had ever laid her eyes on, now she wanted her hands on it. This one was going to be tricking. But she might have a way to do this. Taking in a deep breath she headed past her relatives, who couldn't recall what she looked like, into the large store behind them, to get her hands on that dress.

Enin had been walking on the street, hardly noticing what was going on around her, just making her usual cirlce around the city, when someone's purple braid nearly hit her in the face. "Oi!" she yelled, surprised. When Enin looked for the person that had nearly hit her, there was no one around with braided purple hair, so Enin just shrugged it off and continued on her way.

Enin walked to one of the beautiful parks that the ground level of the city had. It was surrounded by many shops that carried some of the most expensive accessories and clothing on the first five levels of the city.

Enin sat down on a bench and watched the children run around. Enin was now happy that she looked to young to be a mother. Parenting was never something she was interested in.

Cristyne walked up the street, her waist length hair swaying as she scoped out a good spot to do todays routine. Glancing back and forth, she noticed a small shop that had many people running in and out. Not to mention, her sharp eyes caught the bulge of coins in purses and pockets of these people. "Perfect..." She mumbled, half to herself, and half to no one. Walking slowly, she made her way so she was directly across the street from the shop before crying out with a flourish as she tossed her hat up in the air. It landed with a twirl before settling on the ground before her. Grinning as a few people stopped to stare curiously at her, she dropped her violin case to the ground. Kneeling quickly, she was up and playing energetically within seconds.
The music was sweet to start, but it grew more happy and playful as a small group of people began to grow. The small ding of coins hitting coins could be heard as curious onlookers tossed coins into the hat. Cristyne's grin widened, and she stopped playing and put the violin to the side, as she twirled the bow from hand to hand, occasionally tossing it up into the air. Her small pile of coins began to grow as small cheers started to erupt from the tiny crowd.

Walking casually into the store, Lilith wondered how she would pull this off. She saw one of the employees walk away from the counter to help out a customer. Soon Lilith swiftly moved to the counter, snatching a bag she could hide the dress in. Glancing around she noticed three cameras all aimed around the place. Crap she thought until she moved towards the dress. gently ripping off the tag she took the purple version off of the rack before slipping it into the bag. Then walked off to the door before anyone could notice her other then the cameras. Giving the peace sign to the camera she crossed the opening of the store and sprinted out into the street to the elevator to get three floors up to L'sander's place.

It took her about ten minutes to get up there and then she rushed to the house between the main parts of the floor. Before she reached the door she saw a note from L'sander. Banging her head on the door, she pulled out her key from her pocket and unlocked the door.

Impulse,
Hope you had fun with the adventure you had this morning.
I'm gone for the afternoon, be back later tonight.
L'sander
p.s. got another job for you in the morning.

She slammed the door shut before stalking off to her room.

Enin turned on the park bench when she heard the sound of a violin. A young girl was playing a tune that grew with every coin she was thrown. Enin watched, she had not seen this preformer lately. I wonder is she's new. No she can't be. This city is huge, she just hasn't gotten to this spot before. Enin told herself, still smiling. When the girl finished, Enin dug in her pocket to see what she could give to the young girl. Twelve coins..... Enin thought, taking five and lightly tossing them into the hat. "You play beautifully." Enin commented to the girl. Just then, a flash of purple caught her eye. It was a young girl with a long purple braid. Could that have been the person that had nearly hit me on the street before? Enin pondered. But the girl disappeared into the crowed. Enin let her go. It was just an accident anyway. Her glance to the purple haired girl had only taken a second. "May I be so kind as to ask your name?" Enin asked the preforming girl, Enin's attention turning back to her. Enin wanted to be able to call this person something other than 'girl' in her mind.

Cristyne smiled hugely when the woman dropped the coins into the hat. Then she even complemented her playing. Cristyne was estactic. She bowed quickly and enthusiastically. "Cristyne. Cristyne Lith." The crowd was starting to trickle away because the preformance had ended for that hour. With Cristyne, she did something different every hour. This hour was music. Next was fire, then water, and so on.

Dropping into a crouch, Cristyne emptied the coins from the hat into a small pouch worn at her waist. As she stood up again, she spun the hat in her fingers before 'plop' it landed on her head. "I appreciate the tip, and the complement. I didn't get many of either further downtown." Cristyne said kindly to the woman. "May I ask your name as well?"

Cristyne Lith... Enin went over the word in her head. Lith.. Lith.. Lith.. Lith! I treated a Mrs. Lith when that plague went through the city.I knew that name was familiar. Enin thought, a smile still on her face. Enin watched as Cristyne gathered her coins in a practiced gesture. And her thanks, Enin answered "Oh really? No compliments? This city is starting to loose its taste..." She mumbled the last part to herself. When Cristyne asked her name, Enin replied as kindly as she was addressed. "Oh, I'm Enin Corover. I work at largest hospital on this level." Enin said, holding out her hand to shake.

Hosptial?....Cristyne shrugged and shook the womans hand. "Nice to meet you, Enin." Cristyne smiled sweetly as she racked her brain, trying to remember exactly where the hostpital was. Yes, her mother died there, but whenever her father would leave to take mama there, he gave Cristyne strick instructions that she was not to leave the house under any circumstances. This was before Cristyne had any control of her abilities, and would randomly shift between her two forms. And when In a room with a few people, it was probably best that you didnt go from Cramped, to extremely claustriphobic if she shifted.

"Well Enin, if you truely enjoyed my show, how would you like a part in the next hours preformance. Im taking a break now, but in about 45 minutes, there will be another...different preformance. Fire Breathing, and Magic. Like to play the part of the Damsel?" Cristyne smiled mischeviously. In this act, the person playing the damsel would be tied to a tree. Cristyne would spin around, pulling her cape so It covered her, then rear back in her dragon form. Snorting fire, the person able to unty the damsel would recieve a prize of a few coins. Providing they paid to take their turn of course...

Lira flew over the surface of the small pond near her home, skipping over the surface and leaving small rings growing into large ones. She moved down closer letting the tips of her feet and one hand trail in the water.

She suddenly braked and turned to the right, creating a small spray of water. Her 2'5" frame suddenly shot up straight in the air, leaving the water behind. She went faster and faster, tears streaming from her eyes at the cold air. Eventually she reached a height equivalent to the top of Somme city. The air was bitterly cold on a good day and the air thin. Lira hovered for a moment, feeling her chest beginning to hurt as she struggled to grab a breath. Black spots danced at the edge of her vision.

Lira could feel herself slipping into unconsciousness. After a moment her body became limp and her wings stopped beating. Gravity took over and her unconscious body fell through the air coming closer and closer to the pond. As she dropped lower, she woke up because of the more abundant oxygen.

Angling her body downwards, she could see the pond rushing closer and closer. Lira waited, trying to see how long she could last before stopping. With less than a minute left she began slowing down, stopping and hovering right above the surface of the water. She could see the fish swimming down at the bottom of the pond, oblivious to her presence. With a grin, she stopped hovering and slipped down under the water without a splash.

Enin thought about it for a minute. "How long would your show be? I'm meeting a friend for lunch and the spot we usually eat is more or less on the other side of the city." Enin explained. She thought it would be great fun to be part of Cristyne's act. And if anyone got hurt, she could probably patch them up.

((Sorry for the short post. Low on creative thoughts XP))

After swimming around under the water for a bit, Lira surfaced, feeling refreshed. Nothing made her feel more alive than flying as high as the city and then seeing how long she could fall before stopping.

She shot out of the water again, hovering near a low lying branch. She knew it wouldn't be healthy to fly up high again, but she was bored. After a bit of aimless flying about, she decided to head into the city. It was a bit far from her treasured lakes and ponds, but she figured she wouldn't need her powers for anything important. The city was relatively safe and she was small enough (and fast enough) to evade anything dangerous.

After several minutes, the noises of the city reached her ears and soon after that she flew into the hub of the first level. The city never failed to amaze her. So many people living so close together! Lira didn't know how anyone could do that.

Cristyne smiled to see that Enin was interested. "Im going to begin in about 15 minutes. It will only take a few people to try...before I let someone get by, get the prize, and unty you. So probably only about 20 minutes." As she spoke, Cryistyne began to set up the stage for the act. Out of a sack that lay next to her violin cast, she unfolded a chair and pulled out a length of rope. Reaching in once again, she grabbed her cape, and quickly tied it around her neck.

"And If you can't do it, Im sure I can find someone who would be willing to be the damsel. You get a prize as well for volunteering." Cristyne reached inside her hat and pulled out 3 coins. "What do you say? Wanna be a damsel in distress?"

Enin took in the information. Twenty minutes... That'll give me enough time. Olympus would understand. She thought to herself. "I'll take it." Enin said with a smile, her red eyes glowed. They always did when she was excited. Both a perk and down-side to being a Litch.

Enin watched and waited as Cristyne set up the stage. She followed the actor's instructions to allowed herself to be tied up. Passer-byes watch, intrigued. as Cristyne set up more, more people stopped to watch. Enin could hear people murmuring about the act. This'll be a nice rush of energy to get me the speed I want later. Plus, it's something to do. Enin thought, happy she decided to stop here.

"Why do I bother staying here? What if I went back home?..What am I talking about....L'sander and my parents would kill me if I went back. He wouldn't have a messenger and they would have a fugitive on their hands." Shaking her head she walked over to her window ciel to look out onto the city. This was her home, no matter what floor she lived on. She had seen a handfull of the levels personally and stolen from a few stores, but she hadn't been everywhere like she hoped she would when she was a small child.

Reaching over she picked up the picture of her and L'sander, when she was just starting working for him.

"L'sander, why can't I go with you? All I do is give messages and pick pocket....Please can I go on this with you?" her eyes widened as she pleaded to go.

"Impulse, I said you can't go and that's final. Got it?"

"That's not fair I am the best archer you have and you know it. I'm discreate and I know how to hide well enough Lilac won't ever find me again. Let me go Olympus." she begged again trying to be convincing.

"Lilith, stay here. I'm not going on the plans me and you discussed earlier today. I have other plans. That's why you can't go."

"LIER!" she screamed before running off to her room. Later that night he brought her a bag of suckers and told her why she couldn't come. He was going to see her parents to tell them that thir daughter was safe with him.

"Should have just let them worry Olympus." Walking to her closet she grabbed her black and purple jacket she used to roam the streets. Not exactly knowing why she was going out, she was going to find something else to steal, and this time it would freak L'sander out.

Lira flew up to the top of the statue that was situated in a decorative pond in the city square. It was a very good perch, and her blue eyes could survey the comings and goings of the city around her. Plus, it was near water and she always felt safe near water

Suddenly, a purple-gray streak flew straight towards her. Lira moved out of the way just in time to avoid getting knocked off into the water. She stood up and put her hands on her hips in mock anger. She turned to face her assailant, which had turned into another purple and gray fairy hovering behind her and laughing.

"Hermia!" she shouted at her friend, pretending to sound gruff. "We have no time for such tomfoolery! When will you stop with those infantile games?"

Hermia striaghtened up and bowed towards Lira. "Oh I'm sorry Lord Aubert. I thought Lira was here today in the city but it appears her father has come instead."

Both girls collapsed into giggles, and Hermia settled herself on the statue's head next to Lira. She was about to ask why Lira was in the city that day when Lira suddenly pointed across the square. "Look, I think a street performer is setting up for a show. Let's go watch!"

Hermia agreed and the two fairies flew across the square, alighting on a tree branch that gave them an unguarded view of the performer.

"What to steal...what to steal..." she muttered softly to herself as the elf wondered around the city. She had to steal something worth while and she needed it before he got home this evening. ...Could steal a kid....wait i hate kids..bad idea.... the thoughts of what to do floated through her head as she had moved three levels down again to the level where she stole the dress. I will steal......HER A smile crept along her face as she looked at the woman trying to help the street performer. She stopped in her tracks for a moment before ducking into the shadows. She say Lilac walking down the street in the open. Probably her weekly rounds but Lilith couldn't risk it. SHe stayed hidden until the time was right to steal the woman and hide her in the house.

Alia was running through the forest, in her wolf form of course, her clothes tied to her leg by a leather cord. Her stomach rumbled, reminding her of what time it was. She sighed, this meant she'd have to go into town and steal some food. That or eat roadkill. Alia shuddered at the thought, she'd rather steal. So she phased back into her human form and put on her clothing. Then headed toward town.

Once there Alia walked down the street, scouting out the best place to get food from. She finally decided on a pizza place, it was mouthwatering. Slowly, she walked into the restaurant, and spotted two slices of pizza left unattended at someones table. Alia reached out and grabbed them, then hurried out the door before someone could catch her.

Lorry Ann wake got up and grabbed her dagger as usual. She got some toast and started to put up her long jet black hair in a topknot. She was still tierd from walking up nineteen sets of stares with heels on; but the phone started to ring after Lorry put her hair up.
"Hello," Pix said.
