Bahaha, sounds like me and wikipedia. I wish I could remember some of the weird link chains that I've gone through there, but they've been pretty ridiculous. Start out with something serious and historical and end up on some kid's show or something. xD

Yeah I'm going to have a garage sale this summer. I think I can get the stuff down if I have two ladders and a piece of plywood. Makeshift scaffolding!
I figured out how I went from checking pictures to DB comics!
Someone I watch on DA did a recent com of Rachel Morgan (The Hollows by Kim Harrison), which made me look up others to see if anyone did a good job. One that came up looked a lot like the Anita Blake comics artist, so I checked his page (wouldn't you know it was him?) and I saw all the Anita Blake sketches. Well flipping through there was one of Mercy Thompson. Under the Rachel Morgan one it said "For Fun" but under this one it said limited edition cover. So then I went to wiki which sent me to DB's homepage where I found the thread talking about the mini series that's do out in hardcover and volume paperback soon. ^_^

I finally got to read Good Omens. I loved it. :D
I've read like four books in the past week or so. The Other Boleyn Girl was really good too. I wanna see the movie now.
The Phantom of the Opera was good to read too. :yes:

Congrats Feyona if you're around!
I've finally got some reading time ahead of me if my family would stop calling me for stupid reasons!
My sister called because she wanted to see if I had any kid's songs for her to do a puppet show with!
1) I don't have any kids.
2) She has two kids with lots of CDs.
3) A puppet show?

Bah, I'm such a bipolar reader. xD I read nothing (or very slowly) for a month, and then grab a book and finish it in two days.
So, I got a book in the mail yesterday that I've been wanting for a while. I really wanted to read it, and it was short, so I figured "Well, I'll set aside Otherland for now, read this book in a few days, and then go back to Otherland."
Turns out, I finished the book in one evening. xD It was good, though! "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. It's about a girl who killed herself, but before she did, made a bunch of recordings of herself detailing exactly how her life went to shit, and who caused it to do such. She then sends the box of tapes to the first person, and they have to listen to the tapes, then send them to the second person and so on. The book is from the perspective of one of the people who got the tapes. His reactions to it, his memories of the events from other perspectives, etc. It was really interesting. Easy read, too. And quick. Since he listens to the tapes all at once, taking no breaks, you kind of want to read the book in the same manner. xD

Yay! I went to the used bookstore today, and got six bookmarks for 48 cents each, an eighteen dollar book of Russian fairytales for seven dollars instead, The Vampire Armand and The The Hounds of the Morrigan both for four dollars instead of eight, and Live's The Distance to here album for four dollars instead of... however much CDs typically cost. o_o
Good deals for Iltu! X3

@cherry - damn. an evening?
but that does sound good. i've been eyeing it since it came out, but i was always nervous to pick it up since, well, realistic fiction and i are not the best of friends.
@dani - ... 4.0... you have some serious problems, there.
are you even human?
@iltu - YESSS CHEAP BOOKS.
speaking of cheap books, when i went to my library the other, they have a few shelves with books for sale (it looks like a constant thing), but of the books i looked at and was a little interested in, none of them were a first in series. ;_;
costumes... bleach costumes? 8DDD;;

tirethminet- Aaaaaahhhhh, I hate that. It's so annoying not being able to find the first book in a series. Or one in the middle of a series for that matter. For instance, I cannot find Mannoch the Devil by Anne Rice ANYWHERE, and it's making me sad. D:
Ooooo, neat! I've never seen Bleach, but I have an appriciation for cosplay. XD

I enjoy the General Discussion forums on occasion; sometimes the threads are for simple posts of opinions and brief thoughts, while others provoke more of an introspective response not only for yourself, but to others as well. It's refreshing to get away from the quirkiness and bizarre posts of the art forums every so often.

Yeah I was kinda expecting it... but I wasn't quite sure when it was going to happen and kept telling myself it wasn't going to happen for another full year and so I was thrilled and excited when he told me.... but now I have all this stuff to plan and I don't think I'll be able to read my list... LOL.

I'm on the last book by the way! Also the last Sarah Brightman CD has two phantom songs on it. xD Woo!
Send me Nemu screen caps so I can pose? I'll practice so maybe I'll be able to do her handstand leg kick by con time? (Probably not...)

Yeah, I was impressed with myself. I read quickly, but usually I at least do it over two days, maybe three. But then again, the book was pretty short. Only about 280 pages.
For that reason, you may consider reading it. It'd be quick. Read it! Read it! Read it!

I need some help from anyone artsy who is willing to try. My friend asked me to design a tattoo for her--a celtic-style psi symbol. I'm running into a wall though trying to figure out how to do it. I thought maybe attempting to cross designs from the Book of Kells, but my attempts haven't fared so well...

@iltu - missing anything leading up to the last book in the series is pure torture.
you should watch it. or read it. watching involves a lot of filler arcs. D:
but it is excellent as far as shonen series go.

@leenie: You know the Rachel Morgan series? My library still hasn't gotten the rest back yet. Someone ran away with them.
Plus they still don't have the first book in the Southern Vampire series. Seriously why buy the others if you're not going to get the first one?

tirethminet- It is. D:
Okay! I'll look for it at the library. I've heard good things about it.

@Iltu: a mixture of this and this only less complicated for a tattoo.
@leenie: She's getting her psychology master and wants a tattoo for that but she wants it to match her other tattoos which are all Celtic style.

Huh. I haven't even heard of it anywhere except for where I discovered it (which was just through a chain of "if you like this book, you might like..." while looking for some new books to read months ago)
It's cool that people are reading it. Maybe it will make some people think about how their actions can affect people.
