I'm going for gold

I am currently working on a theme that's like "Love is Dead", literally. It's like a guy who died on valentines day sorta.

I don't really go for a "theme" I just color match.

Sadly, I mainly just have blues, teals and whites for the most part.

Chubs, you should get a rose. The green won;t match anything but it'd fit your theme! <3

Currently I'm trying for a surfer/island theme lol.

Hahaha yeah, the YOU thing does make it sound offensive lol. Don't worry, I knew you were merely emphatic about, err, "you", I mean me, or us. It's a better way to do so generally than using the italics or bold thing all the time, after all.

Ah what a perfect topic for me right now. I can't decide at all what look to make. There's just so many nice items to choose from. I also can't decide which monthlie to buy first. Despite my gold count, it's still not enough to get me one monthly. I hope we get another event soon so we can accumulate more items to use or to sell. That way, we can be dressed and do our themes the way we want to.

The Laura Croft theme looks like pretty good one, and easy, too, I think. I personally think your avi's off to a good start. I love those boots, ooh. Maybe a rock star of some sort? Like the Evanescence girl n_n. Or Gwen Stefani. That was so pop of me lol.

I just really wanted to use my chaos items.

In the end I only used the sash, the staff cluttered it a little too much.

I used to have a Lolita themed avatar, but I got bored with it. Now I'm doing a magical girl theme. When I first joined, I had a magicial girl theme, until I saw the Lolita fashion in the shops. I played Tetris everyday for a few months to get enough gold to complete my collection. I finally compleated it, but then I got bored.

So, waddaya' think?

I'm new but right now I'm trying to get enough gold to get stuff that looks most like a vampire :) :)

I've been going with a cyberpunk theme. I wouldn't mind buying the orange chained belt to finish the look.

Ya know what, I think Imma give up on the theme idea.. I'm just gone make MY AVI be MY AVI!! not the "I'm SOMEONE ELSE OR SOMETHING ELSE THAT DOES NOT REPRESENT THIS PERSON" avi... from now on the theme can pretty much be just "what I like"
I was kinda going for this "Red/blue/silver/gold"ish theme... but i'm getting tired of people saying "I don't get your color scheme" or "What's up with the Grey Hair?" -me: "It's not grey it's Silver"... "That hair just leaves a big block of WHITE on your avi" -Me: "It's supposed to be SILVER!!!"
Seriously, I'm tired my avi being judged like that so from now on i'm just gonna stay out of the 'vote for the avi' forum and just make my avi ME! Or at least the Me I wish I could Dress like!

hehehe. Malia, I think you'll find the Avatar Chat regulars to be pretty picky about their avatars and the ratings they give. A lot of the regs are really anal about matching and the flow of an avatar, so you're going to get a lot of those kinds of comments around here.

I would suggest making an avatar that makes YOU happy. :D It's not as important what everyone else thinks as long as you like what you've come up with. :D But if you do decide to post in this forum and ask for ratings, be warned that some of them might be rather harsh or not quite what you want to hear... :yes:

I agree with Sizzla.

It's kind of like the same as if you're an artist and you put your work up for display or for critique. If you don't want a person's opinion, then don't display the art. ^^; There's going to be times where you feel happy with what you have and you may even get some comments in your favor, but it's like Siz said, if you put your avi up to be rated, then some people are going to like it OR some people are going to rate it based off of what they feel flows well with appearances.

It's cool, though, that you go for what YOU want. No one on here can make you dress your avatar any way other than how you want it to look.

I haven't started yet, but I'm aiming to go for a wolf-girl theme. Now all I have to do is save, buy and deck out! Wish me luck! ^-^
