I'm starting public school again. But, I've been out of public school since 7th grade, and I'm a bit nervous about going back. I've had the worst experience with public school and I'm worried that the same thing will happen again. All my friends and family say that I shouldn't worry and that I will be ok, but I'm not too sure. But I am certain that I do not want to go back to private school, mostly because my parents cannot afford it and I don't want to force them to try, and because I just really don't want to go back.

Well don't go in there expecting the worst. Go in with your head up high, confidence in yourself, and be friendly. Getting back into the groove of things wont be to bad. ;) Just be positive!

Just because you had a bad experience in the past, doesn't mean it will happen again.
Just think positively and act friendly, that's all.
And in my opinion, I think most public schools are better than private.
Public schools allow you to express yourself more than being repressed and expected to follow the overall school's religion.
And based on my experiences in private school...well, let's just say, I wasn't happy.
But you'll be fine! Don't be too hard on yourself! Just remember that this is a chance to be yourself. Good luck!

ok, this is gonna be tough, cause i dont have that much info to work with.
there's an old saying: "nothing ever happens the same way twice." whatever happened shouldnt happen again. you've been gone seven years.
my advice, stop worrying. your not able to change it, so attack it head on. worrying is only gonna use up energy and time when you should be focusing on the now. dont dwel on the past, its the future that's coming to ya. trust me, i should know...
if you want me to help, pm me. im good with these problems, but i need more info. for exe.; what happened seven years ago?

I don't know the reasons as to why you left or when, but I'm sure whatever happened won't happen again as long as you go about school differently.
Just do the work, be a little friendly, don't hang out with the "wrong crowd", etc.
And if things still aren't working out for you there are always alternatives.
You could change schools, or be home schooled, for example.
Best of luck to ya! (I know I hate school.)
@Mr. Crowly: She said she's been out of it since 7th grade, not that she left seven years ago.

Easiest thing to do, Is talk about it with someone you think will be able to make the right decision about this with you. Talk to Grandma or a relative that you're close to about your feelings towards this, and possibly they could give you some advice on who to stay away from and all? Maybe they could even help fund you to actually go to a Private school.
I know what it's like to not be able to afford to go to a good school, I go to a public High-School now. It's crap, But. It's better than nothing isn't it?
Would you rather go to a Public school? Or not go at all and slowly turn into someone that can't do simple math, Or even write a simple sentence without help?

wow, she actualy took my advice...
anyways, i forgot to tell you. this is something i see with people with the same problem. it looks easy for now, but be warned, once you start, you may have some of the old thoughts come back. some of the worrys from before will come back. this is natural. if this does happen, push it out of your mind. ive seen someone break down becaus he was so nervios about school when he got there. just keep moving forward.
@agent hay-lee: ehehe... srry bout that, sometimes i read a bit fast...

Well, a lot of people have bad expericences in school. Public and private. But just because one embarrasing thing happens doesnt really mean that you should expect to have an even worse time. When something embarrasing happens to me I just kinda laugh it off. Because at the end of the day, I'm making fun of it, not stressing over it. You'll be ok, just be happy and confident!
