text as in text on a cellphone. this question came up when i was texting my friends. it made me realize how much i text on a daily basis.

do you even have a cellphone?
if you don't text, then what do you do to contact your friends without having to talk virbally?

I don't have a cellphone and I don't text either. I type a lot on the computer if you must know. I don't know, I find that the same thing. Text and typing just seem the same thing. So..no but on the computer, yea.

i text a lot. i went to work the other day and forgot my phone at home. i thought i was gonna die. i was thinking how sad it is that i feel like i have to have my phone by my side at all times.

Uhm.. I used to text a lot..
and since I've moved around too much.. I've lost contact with a lot of people.
And since my boyfriend lives me with.. I don't have to text him much..
So right now, I don't text... but when I have people to talk to.. yea.. I do text a lot. lol

I would text a lot, but my friend and I went on a texting spree a year ago so my mother blocked it. So I never get to text other wise I'd be much better at it.

I don't even have a cell phone. I don't really have much use for one. I DETEST talking on the phone. Ugh.
I just send e-mails and instant messages.

I used to text a lot but not as much now.
Not sure why, some people just seem to fade away over the summer I guess.
But I'm sure that when school starts again, I'll get back to my old habits.

I text a lot. But it depends on the day really, and what I have to say. xD

I'm the same way.
I don't have a cell phone because I dislike how people would be able to contact me 24/7. It creates a great deal of pressure to make yourself available and constantly respond to every little thing. I don't enjoy the thought of people being able to fetch me. Even if the cell phone is turned off, people are aware that you have one and believe that they therefore hold the right to contact you whenever they like. There's a lot of guilt involved if you choose not to pick up or respond right away.

So no texting for me. :lol:
If people want to get a hold of me, they can either leave a message on my landline or make plans with me in person.

I have a cellphone but its not like its my new other limb.
I only use it when I need to and when my friends text me.
I only text someone when I need to ask something, not just to chat lol.

I hardly use my cellphone anyways.

yes i txt alot. ^^; first month i had almost 2 thousand txts

My friends are text addict's.
Can't live without a cellphone.
Though I do prefer text over talking on the phone.
Talking wastes my minutes and they text a lot, meaning they'll talk a lot.
So I do text a lot.

I have a phone that I got from my old plan that is only usable as a clock, but for me texting is so complicated @_@ I'm used to a keyboard...

Oh goodness, I never text. In fact I hate texting.

I do see the point of texting but I don't see the point of texting for longer than 5 minutes at time. If your conversation lasts that long, just call them and talk instead of wasting your energy tryping on keys that you have to press like 3 times to get the letter that you want.

I do not have a valid Texting plan, so therefore I do not text, I can not honestly see why in the world people would want to talk to others so often. Really now, I would be getting annoyed if I was not able to enjoy some alone time to myself.

I just got a cell phone a four months ago and I do text a lot. The only places I dont text is work (because I can't on the job, break time I can other than that no), Dinner table at supper time I can't and when my parents enforce the new rule "Text Free Zone!" other than that I do text a lot. But I only text with my best friends tho.

I only text when I need to which isn't a lot.

I text on my cell a lot. I dont get service at home, so when i'm out Im always on it XD

I have a cell phone but I dont use it much, my friends are always complaining to me that they couldn't get a hold of me. But its always off or not charged :sweat: but I dont text either. I have it I just dont like doing it. I've seen my brother text in the car a few times scares the crap out of me. :o I don't really like texting I prefer the computer or talking just regularly on a phone.

I cannot text to save my life. I prefer to call people, although mainly from my home phone. I use my mobile phone mainly as a hotline to the 'Daddy Taxi' so I can get lifts home. Most of my friends are on MSN, so I contact them that way, or I would phone their land line.

Oh heck yes x3 Only when I'm bored and not ALL the time, though.

Only about 1000 Messages a month.

I don't text a lot.

I have a mobile, although i don't text very often. Infact it's very rarely on, compared to some people i know how have theirs on 24 hours a day.
