How many of you have read the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by author Patricia C. Wrede? I just want to know your opinions of it Loved it Hated? Haven't read it? I will give you a short overview of each book!
These books are about Cimorene, a princess of Linderwall, she is the opposite of what we picture a princess to be she would much rather learn magic and fencing than the normal princessly things! So she runs away from home because she tires of embroidery, dancing and etiquette. Running right into the clutches of the noble dragon Kazul. Where she fends off Wizards and Knights alike. Befriends Dragons, witches, Stone Princes, The King of the Enchanted Forest, Elves, and Giants.

I've LOVED them. They're my favorite bathtime read -- I can finish about half of one in an hour in the bath, then read the rest in bed. I always contemplate writing fanfiction, but the ends are tidied up so neatly for the story that I'd have to do Daystar/Shiara fic. Not many missing moments are available to write.

I can read the books fast as well. I have lately taken to reading them to my niece and nephew. They are still really little but I think they like them too! I always want them to continue after the last book it drives me nuts some times! But oh well I do like the ending!

AHHHH I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!! I read them all and love Morewn the witch the most she just so entertaining!!!!

I read those books once and I LOVED them. But it was a while ago so, sadly, I don't remember them that well.:P

It's been a very long time since I've read the entire series, but I did really like them.
Can't remember damn near anything about them though.
I often get that series mixed up with The Immortals series for some reason.

I read them ages ago, but I think they got packed away when I needed more room on my shelf for more books. I should see if I can find them in the basement next time I go home... Because I remember liking them a lot.

Pretty much all of my books are stashed away at my parents house right now because I'm looking for a new place to live!

I read those books back when I was in middle school and loved them so much I bought them and then later bought the omnibus of them and made all my friends read them. I love the characters, they are so different then the cookie cutter princesses and kings that you get in normal book. I also read her other books because of this series and I think that other people should to!

I read those books a while ago as well...I remember I liked them a lot...and thats about it...

I first read them in Middle School. Loved them to death. I read them a little backwards though. I read the fourth first, but it's like eighteen or so years after the third so it wasn't a big deal. Any info you lost on Daystar's parents was told properly enough that it didn't make the book confusing in the slightest. I actually didn't realize the book was the fourth until about the third time I read it. Haha. When I realized I got online and had my mum order them for me (remember I was in middle school so I didn't have a credit card of my own).

Of course my mum got angry at me with them though XD I read them instead of studied for mid-terms, but I still got good grades. I was far more interested in reading about Cimorene and Mendanbar. I loved the two of them, they were so well crafted. All the characters in all of the books were amazingly well made and the plot lines for all the books were enchanting and wonderfully written.

I have to pick those books back up and read them. It's been years, but they were my favorite books when I was younger

i haven't read this, but am intrigued. i'll have to check it out.
