So I just got done playing a fun game of "Scare-the-pug". My sweet pug, Puppy and I have a game that we play that's similar to hide and seek. I run and hide, and Puppy comes to seek me. Then, at the last moment, I jump out and she runs away- which is my cue to find a new hiding place. She loves it, she gets excited and her tale wags like crazy when we play. After we play, I fill up her bowl with fresh water and we usually just cuddle up on the couch and relax.
(Please know, I'm not hurting her in anyway, she loves the game. :))
That's our little tradition. How about everyone else?
Do you have games or traditions with your pets?

...I play Scare-the-cat-you-just-found. xD She's so funny. She'll be laying on the floor, and just stare at me. So, now I have to get up, walk over to her, then chase her into the room, where she does that hunch up and look upset thing.
After that I have to pick her up, put her on the bed and give her kisses. = 3=

We play Catch the puppy at our house. Our dog Regal will walk up and literally pounce on someone. That's our cue to get up and chase him. The living room becomes and obstacle course. Regal is very small and very fast. He ducks in between the couch and end table, goes through the coffee table, goes up and over couches and chairs, and basically goes where ever there's squeeze room, while us clumsy humans have to go around everything. He can turn very tight circles and has been known to climb over someone if they're in the way. It's really exhausting, but it makes him so very happy that its worth it.

If I say "Spoo-Spoo MUNCH" He usually goes and attacks my brother's pant leg, and drags him around until his pants fall off. XD That is a game I play with him, but it only works when he is already in his little play mode!
Or All I have to say is "Gedat Boodah!" And he finds his stuffed Hedgehog and brings it over for the classic "Fetch" game XD
Yes.. we use baby talk with my dog XD

If I walk up to my cat, she doesn't react. If I reach down to pick her up, she generally lets me.
But if I say "Gonna getcha!" as I approach, she'll run away and look back at me to chase her, and if I say it when I'm reaching for her, she complains when I grab her!

i play a game with Peanut, my Penbroke Welsh Corgi.
i dont really have a name for it. and its really a game, it just makes me giggle.
when hes cuddled up in my lap and has finally spotted fidgetting, i play with his toe hair.
i dont know if you know what im talking about, ill do my best to describe it.
the under side of his paw, there are little tufts of hair inbetween his toes.
anywho, he really hates it when you rub your finger against them.
its not hurting him or anything, its just annoying.
so i rub his toe hair, until he gives me that look, that translates through out time, and through out species, the one that says, "if you dont spot im gonna bite you..."
sometimes i stop... sometimes i get bitten. but its worth it.
and he keeps coming back, because for every time i play with his toe hair, there are fifteen other times i just sit and pet him. i guess he figures its worth the risk...

Our previous cat was so funny.
She loved being rolled up in a rug... adored it... DEMANDED. And then she loved really rough play, she was like a tiny dog. We called her buritto cat, because she looked like she had been devoured by a buritto in that rug.
She also played fetch with this shiny festival stick.
Oh, and everyone loved running up and down the stairs with her. It was fun to race her... she err... usually won. She was RIPPED. :O
Oh, and our cat that recently died (different cat), freaked out whenever someone sung "Baby Back Ribs" and would run and hide. O_o

AWW! Your puppy has a stuffed hedgehog too!? My Puppy loves her little hedgehog. We tell her to go get hedgehog and she cries if she can't find it. We also use baby talk with our Puppy. She seems to understand it, and she's so cute and it's hard to resist not talking to her in baby talk... and I WUV HER! :gonk:

My dog Niku likes to play "Destroy every toy in sight!" It's really easy. We give her a pretty new toy. She takes it to her bed, sits down and tears it apart. Then we pick up all the fluff and pieces of whatever toy she's killed. Sometimes she continues to enjoy the skin of plush toys long after they're deflated ^_^;
And with our older dog, Scutter, she freaks out when she thinks it's food time and gets all excited. When I go to walk downstairs to feed her, she'll follow me down, but if I turn around, she'll stop and then run back to the top of the stairs. So to torture tease her, I do that a few times, chasing her up the stairs.

I will stand there when I first come home and my dog will run up to me and stand on her back legs, grab my arm, and turn around pressing her back to my front. That is my cue for the standing belly rub. She loves that. and she is the BEST at giving Hi-fives. I just have to tell her to sit, I hold my hand out and say " HI FIVE!" and she slaps my hand, it actually makes a noise too!!

I don't really have any traditions with my pets.. I just like to torment them every now and then.
Like... I'll be sitting on the chair and my cat Angel will be asleep on the floor and I'll slowly take out the measuring tape and tap his head with it. Then I'll just keep doing it till he wakes up. He'll get his adorable annoyed look on before he runs and hides. ^^
And sometimes I'll make him dance. xD He just goes limp in my hands.
As for my other cat, Jewel, I can't really mess with her. She has a bit of a mean streak. But I do play with the edge of the carpet sometimes and she'll pounce on it. It's so funny because she'll have the carpet between her legs, corner in her mouth, and she'll start flopping back and forth. <3

Our tradition is "dye the cat."
Jason dropped blue dye on our white cat once.
Then we dyed him green and pink.
Now he's the Cheshire cat. Because he's purple.
Well... the blue is starting to fade. He's tie-dye now.
