Hey Jazzu, can I ask why your font looks the way it does? Is there any way you can fix it so that it looks like a normal post?

I...think she may have been posting in 'capitals' with a Chinese typing program o__o That's what happens to me when I hit Shift + Space, my text is still English, but it is 'capitalized'...not the CAPITALIZED like this, but in another way where the letters are larger and more spaced out than the usual font we see like the kind I'm posting in right now. Judging from the way the first 'Ah,' were normal, she probably accidentally hit the Shift + Space combo while typing the 'I' with the Chinese typing program (or another kind of language program) on...that's my only guess...

Probably. They sure did revamp their toolbar pretty quickly.

I'm back, guys. Apparently I got blocked from Gaa, and I don't know if it's temporary or perm. I'm so upset over it I may actually be sick. I know it sounds stupid to be upset over being kicked out of a site, but I am and I need to vent. I mean, I thought I was behaving and following their rules, but apparently they didn't think I was. And the part that really upsets me is how many close friends on Gaia I may have lost today, because I'm not sure many of them can use the system this site runs on or can find me, even though I'm using the same username here that I use there. You might say, "If you're so upset, why not make a new username?" The fact is, I think I'm too upset and worried about what my friends will think to come up with one and haven't really got a lot more alternative e-mail addresses to use. Also, I'm rather mad at the admins at Gaia for not telling me in an e-mail why they blocked me or if it's permanent or not.
I was also writing a great story plot and sharing it with friends. And this site doesn't seem to have that kind of journal.
Forgive me if it sounds like I'm whining and being a baby, but I was on that site for four years, and I felt more social there than in real life and felt I made some good friends. I just hate feeling like I was so bad that they had to toss me out and not tell me why or if it was for good.

I was with gaia from its starting days. I think i joined the site a month after it started .... anyhoo a similar thing happend to me a year ago. I always kept my nose clean and obeyed their rules and TOS. However in one of the debate topics me and one of their mods got into a heated discussion on the matter and i pretty much publicly humiliated the guy with my retort. pretty much shutting down his argument instantly.

The next day i was perma banned. The reason i got was two unknown individuals entered my 'private' guild, and had cyber sex in it and posted multiple pornographic images. This was aparently my fault so as the guild owner they banned me for it, none of my guild mates ever saw anything and the incident supposedly happened in a 2 hour span while i was away at the store ...

So yes i think i can feel your pain in the matter you are facing at present.

How do I recognize an e-mail from the admins explaining why I was blocked? I tried to send them one earlier but it seemed whenever I clicked "Contact Us", it just took me back to the help center. I have an uneasy feeling that no e-mail giving a reason and fact that I can't ask why isn't a good sign.

They wont email you a reason you have to ask for it. they did it with me too, and then took 2 weeks to reply when i asked what was going on. Have you pissed off any mods or anything lately? thats pretty much insta ban regardless if you follow the rules or not. They will also take all your stuff after they ban you if that is the case. That's what happend to me anyways. My ava somehow had is inv cleaned out after i was banned. Xd

You're prolly gonna have to make a mule and ask them in the help center thats what i had to do. just be ready for a long wait for a reply.

No, I normally don't get involved with the admins or mods on that site. Unlike here, they seem more interested in coming up with their silly updates and ridiculously expensive items to interact with the users. They actually strike me as intimidating.

I feel your pain. You're not the only one who got banned for no reason, they seem to be doing that on quite a regular basis. x__X
I'm guessing you were probably banned for something stupid like 'botting' or 'profiting off hacked items'. Which of course are just excuses for them to throw the ban hammer at people they don't like or randomly feel like banning. I got banned too, and it took me weeks to get an answer out of them to tell me why. Some of my friends who were also banned told me of a moderator 'Wolfy' (I hope I spelled that right) who is very helpful, so I PM'd her and waited a few weeks since her PMs are apparently very full all the time. She told me that I was banned for botting. So I asked her to look into it (since Gaia's Inquiry didn't and only gave me automated responses that basically translates into 'Fuck off and leave us along, whiner') and she brushed me off, telling me to just send in another Inquiry. I later saw that she had become an Admin. I wonder if that sort of boosted her ego or something because she was being quite rude about it to me too. So I did that and Gaia told me, after another few weeks, that my case had been 'put into a que and a moderator will contact you soon'. That 'soon' basically meant, 'never and forever and ever'. I never got a response back after that. I don't want to send in another Inquiry either, because someone who has been trying for years to get his account back said he got a warning from Gaia telling him to stop sending in Inquiries because it's considered harassment, even when he had only been sending them in every six months because he got no response.

I'm thinking I may as well just stay here. I'm sure I won't get on anyone's wrong side and heard that the attempt hacking ratio is refreshingly low.
I'm not sure, but I think the admins are just a bunch of kids out of college.

I got banned three times for things that weren't my fault. But then on the flip side, my latest account got hacked and a nice mod helped me get it back with no fuss at all.

It REALLY depends on the mod. Unfortunately, there are quite a few where the power of being 'MoD' has gone to their heads and they just do whatever they want. Who are the other staff members going to believe... a 'trusted' mod, or some random account user? Yeah.

I remember a while back with the whole 'botting' scare, and just TONS of people (including me) got banned for having had a transaction with someone who botted. How the heck was I supposed to know that's how they got the gold for the item I was purchasing off the marketplace????

Anyway, good luck - I know very well that sick pit of the stomach feeling. Just hang in there. I swore I'd never go back, but months went by and I eventually did.

I miss my Ninja Band tho.

I feel a little confused. I feel a small part of me wants to go back to Gaia because I've been there for years and I know my friends will probably wonder why I'm not answering their messages or profile comments, but I'm also too upset and angry with the admins for blocking me after I thought I was behaving and following their rules. Also, I lost some gifts that were given to me on Gaia and just starting a new account couldn't undo the losses.

I like Gaia I still go on it daily to just check things out and do a bit of role playing, but I think what really ruined Gaia for me was the Gaia Cash thing. They've gone a little crazy with it and its really one of the only things on that site to get updated.

I really don't like that they have that stupid trunk thing that started in the aquariums and then made its way out into the forums and such. Now its just a hassle and I'm waiting for them to get rid of the gift boxes, because honestly that's what i see them doing very soon here.

(On a quick side note, what does it mean when a prompt pops up and it says its requesting your user name and password? O,o is someone trying to hack me!?)

God, Why can't I just go on a site and actually be able to see the font without having to squint or slouch.... WHY?!

I don't care for the new layout. Everytime it changes I get a migrane.
