"Well, I'm not artist, but I think they'll do. I think the sparkles help too. So, shall we go? I have a sneaking suspicion that we might find some errant cafe workers at the festival too." She got some tape and taped her sign to the door.

Richard pocketed the small sign of his and grabbed a bag to put a few cookies into. "Yep, All set," he said as he finished putting the last cookie into the bag. "Maybe we should even give a few of these away for free. Kind of like a contest thing. What do you say?" he asked while going out the door.

"I am never opposed to advertising. But what kind of contest do you think we could run while we're wandering around?" She asked. She gathered up the pens and extra poster board and put them back in her office where she grabbed her purse. "Is the back door locked?"

Richard went to the back and checked the lock, "Yep, it is." He came back out. "Hm, I have no idea. I figured contests were your idea," he said as he held the door open for Cookie.

She shrugged. "Maybe you can give a free cookie to everybody who can tell you where the cafe is." She waited till he was out to lock the door. "Then we can create an awareness or something." Making sure the sign is visible on the door, she turned and headed down the empty street where they could hear the music and chatter from the Festival.

"Not a bad idea," Richard said, "Maybe we might even get some new regulars." He smiled as the two of them headed off to the Festival.

((Hm, unless someone else comes I'm out of ideas. >_<))

(Well, people can join us at the festival if they come in, or we can find them there, or something.)

The noise gets louder as they approach. People are everywhere, many of them in costume. There's brightly colored banners and streamers, flowers everywhere and skulls, lots of skulls.

"I expected more pumpkins," Cookie commented quite loudly to be heard over the noise of a mariachi band playing near the entrance.

(Yes we could but for some reason I can't think of anything for my character to do. >.<)

((Y'all enjoy yourselves. I'm swamped and highly pissed off at college right now -- I'm not doing well in it at ALL lately, so just do the festival 'coz I've got no room to chat : ( ))

Early Date Change: We are now on Week 3, Day 1, though I don't expect much to happen because the event is still on. ^^;;

Cookie sighs as she sweeps outside of the cafe. There are crushed flowers, flower petals, stepped on candy, empty wrappers and other miscellaneous trash all over the ground in front of the cafe. As soon as the festival had ended everybody stampeded out and left their mess behind them.

"Why can't people pick up their own messes?" she grumbled to herself. "I need a shovel to deal with this crap. Two trash bags won't be enough! And once I sweep it, people will come by and kick more in front of the shop from other parts of the sidewalk! Argh!"

While she'd had quite a bit of fun at the festival and Richard had given out lots of Cookies, that didn't mean she wanted to pick up after everybody and their dog. Speaking of dogs, was that poo on the sidewalk? "Ew!" :gonk:

Richard had just come into view the cafe. Carrying with him a box filled with trash bags. He looked at the mess outside. "Ah so that's why you called me for more of trash bags," he said as he placed the box in front of the cafe.

He saw Cookie's expression of horror. "Um, you need anything else?"

"Thank goodness you're here! Can you pick that up?" Cookie pointed at the dog poo. At least she hoped it was dog poo. "We have one Festival in Town and suddenly people throw all sense of Civilization out of the window!" She ranted. "Look at this mess! RAR!"

Cindy walked by just as Cookie was in a git of odd rage... Cindy gave a face of WTF?? and kept walking. She said laughing lightly.

Vanna skidded to a stop when she smelled the dog poo. "OH GROSS!" She ran to an area away from the Cafe and barfed.

Cookie blinked. "Ok...it's gross, but not that gross. That's grosser." She made a face and tried not to gag at the retching sound. "Now we need the hose."

"I'll clean it up, but I hate that smell, i couldn't help myself." Vanna said almost retching when she cleared her nose.

Alex walked through the back door and glancing around saw no one."Hey were is everyone?"She called out.

"I'll get it," Richard sighed. He grabbed a trash bag and dealt with the poo issue. "Right who wants to do the fun part and hose the sidewalk?" He had just opened the door and heard Alex from inside. "We're out front!" he called to her.

I'll hose down the sidewalk. Cindy tried to keep her nose blocked

Vanna started using the hose first and rinsed all her puke into the street drain.
