So, at first there were only a few people coming down with the flu and now it seems like everybody I know has had the flu or has it now. And if not the flu its something else; a cold, bronchitis, pneumonia, or what ever else :(
So, who so far hasn't been sick?
I thought I wouldn't get sick because I'm really good about washing my hands and keeping things clean, but I guess that doesn't prevent it 100% because now I am sick =P
Not sure what it is, but since Friday I've been feeling like crud. I had a slight fever and last night my chest started to hurt and I was coughing. Ugh, no fun at all.
Makes me wonder who isn't sick and why they are so lucky to be not-sick :P

I have been fortionate enough not to be sick and I think there are two very big reasons for such a thing. The first and biggest reason is because sadly, I have no life. My friends are all over the country and the few nearby me don't drive, and I don't have a full time job, nor am I in need of an income that comes with one so I don't take such a job from one who does need it. I work 15 days a year and thats it, so I stay in my room most of the day every day, except for the rare occasion once or twice every couple weeks to go out and hang with family or friends who can meet with me. So I don't come into contact with sick people. the second reason, is because once I hear someone has the flu or anything like the flu, I stay away from them and anyone who hangs with them on a daily basis until they are better because I am an asthmatic person with no vaccines or health insurance, and therefor can't risk getting sick. I even avoided my mom and brother for over a month because first he caught swine flu, then pnuemonia, then the flu. He just couldn't catch a break.

I have yet to be afflicted with anything terrible. I salute my imune system of steel!
This year i've only had two afflictions. One about a month back, when i had a very mild cold for two days, and currently i have a similar thing, only with a saw throat.
I caught the former from spending a fair amount of time in very close company with my best friend, when he was much worse off that i ever was.
At the same time, everyone in my halls was diseased with some really terrible things. Not flu, but it knocked them out for days all the same.
There's been another outbreak of several things, and many of them are back in bed, whereas i seem to have dodged contracting the worst of whats going around.

...is this thread a ploy to track down those who haven't gotten sick in order to get them sick? I can see through to your plans! Mooahaha!
This year I haven't gotten sick, thankfully... mostly due to the fact that I'm working on a pasty pale complexion by staying inside 24/7, except when it's time to venture out for a job interview. The last time I got sick was around Valentine's day last year, when the flu kept me to bed for an entire week! The irony is that I had also gotten a flu shot earlier that year to prevent such thing from happening. Shows what the flu shot can do, really.
Thankfully the swine flu seems to be dying down around here. Bird flu, swine flu, mad cow disease... I wonder what's next?

I haven't gotten sick at all, people in my area haven't really been infected. But... my brother has been coughing lately, so... it's only a matter of time.

I work a couple times a week and have school everday. There was one girl who came to school sick and my sensei asked her why she was here and not in bed! She said that she couldn't miss the quiz so she came.. :( Guess maybe thats where I got sick. I'm sure nobody at work was sick and I always wash my hands frequently at work because i deal with food. Nobody at home has been sick for a while... So, I guess I'll have to blame the girl who came in sick at school =X

I KNEW IT.
Can't I pretend to be sick and get away with it? Please? XD The best thing about being sick is the soup in my opinion. Soup never tasted so good... especially hot'n'sour. It's warm, filling, and clears your head with its spices.
The only downside about the soup-intake is that it's easier to get sick of soup to the point of not wanting to eat it... but then there's jello. :3

I've not had the flu or h1n1 or anything like that yet, but I do have a cold.
I caught it off my daughter, and it's hardly surprising she gets colds and sniffles so much, when she keeps licking the other babies at play groups...
My parents haven't been sick (not even a cold) in over two years. They haven't been sick at all since they moved up to the Highlands of Scotland.
My mum swears it's because of their water supply, which comes from the spring outside.

I haven't been sick yet. :D But I feel like I have a pretty good immune system, and I also take quite a few herbal supplements that I think help stave off any illnesses.

I was sick six weeks ago and I still have a slight cough that just won't let go of me.
It is definitely flu season though. It seems like my whole school is sick. Everytime I use one of the computers in the labs I use anti-bacterial afterwords because I'm scared of getting sick again. I easily catch colds.

I haven't been sick yet.
Just give it some time and I will be. I feel it coming.
And they're painting the building I'm in. Fumes are giving me a headache. I hope they haven't painted near my classroom.
Anyway, no one around me has gotten really sick to my knowledge, but also few people around me are getting the vaccine. Hell, I never get any vaccines for things like the flu.

I had a very very very slight, mild cold a few weeks ago, but I still haven't gotten the flu. I've never been sickly at all (though I've been injured many times over the years. That's due to clumsiness, however). I've NEVER had the flu, pink eye, strep, or anything else major like that. I've just always been well. I guess I have a super immune system or something.
I really feel bad for all of those who get sick. Get well soon, everyone! :)

I had a cold this season, but not flu, yet.
I was watching the Bulgarian news, and somehow I missed this, but now I enjoy how the flu in Bulgaria is still called "the grippe". The news was all Mexicanski grippe, Svinskia grippe, lol. Oh well, it sounds scarier, sorta.

Not me. I've been off of school for exactly two weeks now with some type of sickness. Thought it was the flu but it keeps coming back every 3 or so days after I start feeling normal. Today was the 4th time since I first got sick that it came back and ended up putting me in the hospital so I could be hooked up to an IV for a few hours. Vomiting for 6 hours straight and not being able to even keep water down isn't fun.
According to the doctor who took care of me today it may be ulcers, my gallbladder or something else since all the tests he did came back as good. He couldn't do a test for h1n1 though since they're not allowing them here for some reason. I'm really hoping it's just a bad flu and not something serious.

I've been sick for two whole months! It's been off and on and it's getting rather annoying. At the moment I feel fine but who knows what's going to happen next week! I think people should keep their germs to themselves. Wash your hands! Maybe I'm just anemic...

I had a small cold four months ago >_> I haven't been sick since, though. I do appear to walk by something that I'm allergic to on my way to school though, since my nose ALWAYS starts running through first period then abruptly stops.
I've never actually had the flu, so... fingers crossed.

I'm a rather healthy person, the last time I've even gotten a flu shot was a long, long time ago. (I'm 14!) I generally keep clean, and of course, I keep my hands sanitary. Though I guess my diet (vegan) has to do with it to. :] I have never come down with flu (I don't think) in my life before.

I am lucky enough to not have gotten sick this year, although everyone in my area has been getting sick. All of the people I know have been sick at some point, I'm paranoid so I lock myself in my room with my son and sanitize everything if someone coughs. I may sound a little crazy but what can I say, I feel a little crazy with this H1N1 and the flu going around. My son is only 9 months old, he is very susceptible to this virus.
I haven't gotten a shot or anything, but I hope I make it without one. My family doesn't believe in getting flu shots or something >_< lol ugh... I need a car.

I haven't gotten anything serious this year which is really surprising since i usually always get sick multiple times in a year,
I think its because i have been building up my immune system even more since i don't want to get the flu or anything else
Lots of airborne, and emergen-c's and whatever else has all those good vitamins ^_^

*Jumps around with an immune system of steel, while sick people try to throw tomatoes at her and fail*
It really does suck to be sick though, I'm a lucky girl I guess. Allergies don't count though. It'd be my own darn fault for eating something I know I'm allergic to. =/

I still have yet to get sick this flu season. Just about my whole school got sick earlier this year, but I still have yet to catch the bug. It certainly has been going around, though. Especially since a ton of teachers have been coming down with the flu just about as often as the students.

I've felt... mediocre. I just hope I don't fall into another randomly unexplained bout of depression that will weaken my immune system. Even when people around me are sick I miraculously stay healthy. o.O I haven't had a flu shot in two years now...?
I don't want to jinx myself but I guess I don't care. I don't have a job right now so its not like I'll have to worry about missing work.
