((So... this one will be based off of an old movie... Labyrinth. If you have seen it, you know basically what's up. I'm going to change it around quite a bit, so don't think it'll end up the way it did in the movie. :XD PM me if you want to join. I'm looking for a "Sarah"; a girl who has something she loves taken away from her by "me". Be willing to go along with some change!))

A twinkling tune from the music box played through the darkness, accompanied by the gentle chimes of three glass orbs as they twisted about each other. Jayreth sighed, turning all three of the glass balls in one hand over and over. Life was so . . . dull. He could use some excitement; some difference.
The Goblin King stood from his stone throne, pushing his way past a few of his measly minions. "Get me a stone," he said, his golden eyes flashing. When none of the creatures scrambled to obey, he threw the orbs to the ground in anger. "Now."
Goblins and other strange creatures rushed about to do as Jayreth commanded. The tall man sighed, rubbing his temples with a black gloved hand. His ragged coat brushed the ground behind him, his worn leather boots scuffed the jagged stones beneath his feet. The King ran a hand through his layered hair, sighing even louder as he waited for his stone. The ash-blond locks reached the middle of his back, but were extremely layered about his face and near the top, giving the illusion of a mane.
"Yer stone, his greatness," one of the sniveling goblins hissed, holding out a bowling-ball-sized glass stone out. Jayreth grasped the stone without so much as a blink of gratitude and brought it over to the large open window. Holding it out in front of him, he gazed deep into the clear depths, searching for the one he would steal - for the one that would make his life more interesting.

She couldn't seem to get out of bed this morning, a lot like every other morning for the past few months..she was dead inside...without her love there was no point in living anymore..she never contacted her friends or family anymore..they were worried for the first week and now they just leave her alone, which is what she wanted...at least for now..it was getting brighter outside so she new she had to get up but didn't..soon she sat up to close the curtains so the light would leave her at peace..she then closed her eyes going back to sleep.

"Her," Jayreth set the globe down on the stone window sill, staring out at the never-ending maze that stretched out before his tower. "She will do just fine."
Stepping up onto the window's ledge, the Goblin King thrust his coat around him, shifting into the form of a large owl. I will go to her. I will free her from her torment and bring her to me.

He waited until it was getting dark again. When the sun finally sunk beneath the horizon, he flew to the girl's window, resting just outside of it. Hopping over to the glass, he tapped against it with his beak. Let me in.

I heard a tapping noise on my window..it was nearly 8pm..I decided to get up and see who it was when the phone rang..ugh I might as well answer it.."Hello" I say miserably "oh hi mother..yes yes I am fine.." I lie and when she is done talking I hang up the phone and head into the bathroom forgetting all about the tapping at my window..

Jayreth stayed in the window, listening. Of course. It always happens this way at first. It would take a while to get her attention. Fluttering his large white wings in agitation, the owl gave a call before swooping into a nearby tree. The Goblin King decided to bide his time; to find a way to really get to her - perhaps find out what she held dear to her.
Settling down on a branch, he shifted back into his human form. The wind tossed his messy hair about his face as he watched her house. Yes, he could wait. All he had was time.

she decided to take a hot bath maybe then she could call him back to say sorry...after all it was her fault that they were fighting over such a stupid thing...yes she would call him. she undressed revealing her fare skin and slender body her black hair was put up she did not want her hair to get wet..while in her bath she called him " Its me..I wanted to tell you tha-" she listened.."really? well...-- I love you too" a smile crossed her face "Yes come on over tonight Ill have dinner prepared with some wine" I say and hang up the phone this couldn't be happening but it was she hopped out of the tub and decided to make dinner naked.

Jayreth averted his golden eyes as she bathed. Even if he was drawn to her, he certainly didn't need to be rude - even if she didn't know he was there. Glancing through a window a few minutes later, he blushed and looked away again. Ah. Yes. Well, she does seem to live alone.
Shifting on his tree branch, he turned to watch the car that drove up. Perhaps a clue as to what her interests were?

after dinner was served I went and got i my best black short dress that was very very tight.
He liked that, so I wore it.
when I heard him knock on the door I answered it with a "Hi" and a smile he kissed me passionately. "Missed you too" I say with a smile and I blush and we go over to the dinner table and we took our seats.."So..how have you been?" I begin to ask.."Fine..but I have been lonely without you" The man says with a deep voice..this made me blush.." You look great in that dress love" he says.. I blush even more "Thanks.." I say with a huge smile and we begin eating.

Jayreth watched in silence as the man entered her house. Taken? he thought, tilting his head to look into one of the windows. As they ate, the Goblin King observed. After staying in his position for a while, he shifted uncomfortably. With a sigh, Jayreth transformed into the pale owl once more, feathers fluttering around him. Flitting down to rest on the windowsill, he continued to watch as the couple ate together. Sometimes waiting was the worst path of all. Much to tormenting when you're eager to move on.
Does she care for this man? Jayreth tilted his head, his beak clacking in thought.

after we ate we talked and cought up. "hey" he said to me and kissed me "lets go into the bedroom" he says and I blush.."Oh..I dont know..." I say and walk away.."come on he begs"
I coudnt resist we headed to the bedroom kissing and and tearing clothes off eachother.

Jayreth flew away from the window again, this time heading home. Perhaps tomorrow, he thought as the wind chilled him. I'll return tomorrow.

Returning to the window of his tower, the Goblin King shrugged off his bird form in a shower of pale feathers. He ran a hand through his ash-blond mane, sighing.
"How did it go, great king?" the nasal voice of a goblin broke into Jayreth's thoughts, and he glared down at the sniffeling creature. "Did you find her?"
"Of course I found her," he said, kicking the short beast to the ground. "Do you doubt me? Doubt your king?!"
The goblin cringed, bringing a crooked hand up in front of his face. "No! No His High and Mighty Greatness!"
Jayreth turned and sat moodily on his stone throne, caressing the ebony skull that rested on the arm of the massive chair. "Bring me a drink," he said, grabbing three of the clear crystals that rested in a bowl beside him. Twirling them about his fingers and through his hands, he cast a fatal glower to the goblin. "Now." Closing his golden eyes, Jayreth settled in to wait. He would wait until the next day to return to the girl. I will give her another chance. I know what she cares about, and I will give her a choice. Things would play out as they would, but Jayreth smiled as he thought about his part. The woman's life was about to get very interesting.

after we bedded he got a phone call..from a woman..my heart was racing oh no please be his mother or sister or something.."well I go to go" he said and got up to dress" but..who was that? why do you have to go all so soon?" He looked at me annoyed " none of your business!" he snapped and got up to leave "wait..I love you" I say and he opens the door to leave and turns to me and says " of course you do" and with that he was gone once again from my life...My heart sunk..I felt used...I hope in the tub once again feeling dirty this is what happened a few months back this is what we fought over... I grabbed a razor and cut myself but just slightly. I was a whore..I slept with a man that didn't even want me..

It was nearing dusk when he returned to her house. Flying near to the windowpane, he landed and looked in. Once again, Jayreth tapped his beak lightly on the window, hoping to draw her attention. The Goblin King's golden eyes peered through the glass, searching for the woman that he had chosen.

She awoke to a tapping sound...she got up to see what it was and screamed. It was some sort of beast! it was hideous she closed the curtains and locked her window, I hope to god that thing doesn't try to get in my house. I run around like a mad woman and lock every window and door I could find.
"there" Now maybe he will leave.

Jayreth blasted back from the window when she screamed, flapping his wings furiously to regain his sense of flight. I frightened her, he thought sadly. He landed in the same tree he had the previous night, shifting into his human form. The Goblin King sighed, staring at the house morosely. He would have to act soon if he was to act at all. Silently, Jayreth waited for nightfall, watching for the lights to turn out. He would wait until she slept.

It was deep into the night before the Goblin King moved from his perch, dropping silently to the ground. Making his way to her door, he touched the knob gently, a small spark at his fingertip. Jayreth let the door slide open quietly, and he slipped into the house. He headed straight for her room, slowly pushing the door open to look in upon the woman as she slept.

Even though I was asleep I could still tell something was wrong..I felt some one else in my room I opened my eyes and saw a tall dark figure of a man..I sat up so fast I couldn't believe it.
"who are you and what do you want " I say I want him to go away and now. so if he wants something Ill just have to give it to him.

I stared at him he came close to me and I yelled "stay back!!!" I warned him I didnt want to hurt anyone but I wanted him gone I reached for the phone getting ready to call the police.

Jayreth stayed silent as she questioned him, his golden eyes lighting upon her gaze. Though there was no breeze, his long ragged coat flitted about his form. Slowly reaching up, he pointed a slender finger toward the phone and it suddenly seemed to turn to dust. Temporary, but she didn't need to know that.
"I want your name," the Goblin King stated, standing at the foot of her bed. "Just let me have your name, and I will leave you in peace for the night, dear."
His calm manner and tone were soothing, but he knew she was frightened. Of course she was. The tall man held his hands out in front of him, showing her that he intended her no harm.
"I want your name. And I want his."

I didnt know what to do I was at the far end of my room, away from HIM.
my name? "yo..you..can call me Sal, its short for sally...." I say I didnt want to piss this guy of..or whatever he was..."My boyfriends name is Max.." I stutter hoping that with that information he would leave and never ever come back..

"That is all for tonight," Jayreth said, stepping over to Sally to stroke her cheek. "Thank you."
With that, the Goblin King was gone in a flurry of pale feathers. The phone was returned to normal, the window left open, but the man was gone.

A few minutes later, Max's cell phone number mysteriously stopped working.

When Sal went into the kitchen the next morning, a small note was left on the counter:
Leave the window open for me tonight.

What should I do? I coundlt reach max...
when nightfall came she left the window open, there was something about his not that made me feel like if I dont obay there would be hell to pay.

so I leave it open and get into my night gown and crawl in bed, I try to stay awake but it was no use I soon fell asleep waiting for the strange man to come.

Jayreth smiled in delight when he saw that she had obeyed him. He flew into her room and shifted before he landed, making little noise as he stood in front of the bed. Toying with the cellphone in his hand, the Goblin King watched her slow breathing, staying where he was. It was time to set things in motion. Crossing his arms, his coat rustled around him, making the room fill with the sound of wind through the trees.
"Sal."

It got cold..like there was something or someone near by...I awoke when I heard my name and I knew he was here "Yes" I whispered without moving an inch.
I wondered what took him so long..I hate waiting...its irrating..

He watched her lay still, a slight smile splayed across his face. "Do you love Max?" The cellphone that Jayreth flickered to life, it's screen glowing in the darkness.

"well of course!" I say and ask "why? what is that?" I ask pointing to the cell phone.
what was he going to do to me? or to Max???
