Well South Korea has always had bad blood with Japan...so when they found out about Hetalia...and in particular on how Korea was portrayed..they were insulted and sought to ban it...they said it was like a criminal act or something along those lines..

It was utter bullcrap though..because the anime/manga makes fun of all of the countries..not just Korea..and on top of that Japan is made fun of too...its just so retarded of Korean goverment to make a commotion over this...:\
