"You seek Cain?"
The noble stood, stepping hesitantly over to the small group. Glancing down at the djinn and her companion, the man cleared his throat.
"I have a proposition for the three of you, if you're willing to hear it. I can show you where Cain is, child, and I can get you into his guild without being seen. I merely need a few willing people to help me." His eyes grew sad. "What say you?"

Areyse ignored the response from Atticus because he knew and understood that but it seemed that was not going to get a reply that he wanted so he just sat back on his temporary bed with his back against the wall. He suddenly just began talking, "I was recruited into this guild only a few years ago by Cain personally. He killed my family and took me as if I was some sort of prize. I have been waiting patiently and biding my time until I can pay him back for taking away my chance to choose a life for myself. Now thanks to him killing is all I know. Not that I mind since I am a natural at it and it does bring me quite a bit of pleasure to see a man scream in agony before he dies but if this was the life I was going to live then it should have been my choice and not something that was forced upon me. When the day comes that I can hand that man his very own black heart I'll wrap it up for him and everything. Vengeance has a sweeter taste than any candy that a being can eat and how I do love sweets." The drow sat there in the darkness wondering why he was telling all of this to Atticus, there was no reason to. He looked up with his flashing dual colored eyes and spoke a few words in his native language and then he closed his eyes. He was not sleepy but he needed to recover his energy before he sent out on another mission.

Veata raised an eyebrow in curiosity after the red haired teen approached the table. The armored woman didn't realize the girl was much shorter than she thought after coming close to them. Only after hearing her proposition did Veata smile. She would like help in getting the stone back, but she wondered if the girl would really be a match for the man. She certainly has the strength, but what about her skill? She only managed to kill a drunk but Cain is a highly trained professional assassin. Still, there was no harm in trying as long as Cain didn't find out the djinn was involved.
Before she could answer, however, a nobleman approached them with an equally interesting proposition.
"Well, she'd definitely need a way to get into our guild. Unless Cain accepts her as one of us, she'd never be let in through the front doors. I'm willing to hear you're plan as long as Cain doesn't find out I'm actively involved. That man isn't going to show mercy to any disobedient member of his guild." She knew the child would be eager but she thought about Darius. Would he be willing to come along?
"What say you Darius? Would you risk life and limb for a beautiful, helpless damsel in distress?~" she asked in a sweet tone but helpless she was not. She was known for her prowess and skill during her guild missions, even going head to head with Cain before he became guild leader, although their fights were always broken up by the former guild master. Her job to accompany Darius and the scouting team to the north was the last mission her former guild master had assigned her before Cain killed him.

Rae's gaze fell upon the noble, and she automatically started to figure on how much he was worth. It was nothing more than habit now, but she always did it out of the thoughts that she might get something out of helping. Crossing her arms, she turned towards the hesistant man.
"You say that you can get me into that place. I want to know how. I am aware of how hard I would be to sneak in, let alone without getting killed. Although, I have to say that I am more than a little intrigued. So please, continue telling us your plan."
It was an odd occasion when Rae could honestly say that she was curious to hear what someone else had to say. Something like that usually only happened when she figured on getting something in return.
Turning her gaze towards the only one out of the four of them that hadn't yet spoken on the topic. She was less bored than before, more due to the fact that she might get to see this Cain person that sounds so dubious. Tapping her foot on the floor, she made sure that it was just sounding lighter than it normally would had this been any other situation.
As time passed, the young girls' excitement grew. The prospect of sneaking into the guild was thrilling to her. She thought that this would be the adventure of the month so far. That was what made the girl so odd; she went looking for trouble, and she got bored easily. The amount of danger in this one plan alone already was astounding, but that just made the glitter in her eyes brighter than ever as she waited.

"What say you Darius? Would you risk life and limb for a beautiful, helpless damsel in distress?~"
Darius furrowed his brows at Rae. "I'm all for getting back your heartstone, Veata, but I'm fairly sure we can do it without a chaotic, killer child. We don't know her actual intentions. We don't know this gentleman's intentions. Why should we open ourselves up to them?" Darius tried, honestly tried to keep himself looking disdainful and irritated by the eavesdroppers who had approached them, but it wasn't his way. He also wanted Veata's stone back for her sake and safety.
Didn't he want adventure? Wasn't he just talking to her about that? Why was this so different? Finally the man sighed and heaved his shoulders. In Darius' flattest tone, he caved: "There are no fair-er helpless distressing damsel, Veata, and what sort of prince would I be if I didn't lend you my aid?" He turned his head "But you won't survive to escape if you kill anyone, girl. It's not a threat, it's a warning, so behave."
Darius tore some bread with his teeth and started chewing, but that didn't end his part in the conversation yet! "So, Sir, what d'you need? I want to hear it before I agree to get myself killed."

The noble sighed deeply, pulling up a chair to sit with them. "I am trying to get my daughter back," he said, closing his eyes. "I am Lord Marcus." He nodded in greeting, and frowned at Darius's displeased expression. "I truly am sorry to have bothered you, and I can always find someone else to help me if it bothers you."
Atticus sighed slightly to himself, listening to the night sounds as the guild came to life. Most of the workers went out under the cover of darkness . . . as he would be doing now if he hadn't brought the noblewoman into the building. Laying in bed for hours, the half-elf couldn't sleep. Thoughts of the rebellious woman flickered through his head, keeping him tossing and turning late into the darkness. It was nearly dawn when Atticus could take no more. He slid out of bed and tossed his gray cloak about his shoulders, silently stepping into the hallway. Areyse wouldn't notice his absence - he didn't plan on being gone for more than a few minutes.
The assassin went to Areyse's door, knowing that the only person inside was the woman he had captured. Without knocking, Atticus unlocked the door and pushed it open.
Selene had been sitting in front of the door for hours, but she had long since dried her tears. I have to get out of here.
She had been too weary to make any moves that night, and she doubted that there would be any means of escape that weren't being watched. Raking her pale hand through her curly hair, the woman sniffed loudly. In the time that she had taken for the small action, the door swung open slightly.
"You," Selene gasped, leaping to her feet. Unfortunately, she stepped on her full skirts, making herself stumble backwards and fall to the ground. "Ouch," she grimaced, trying to keep her eyes on the tall man in the doorway.
"I won't touch you," the half-elf growled, glaring down at her. His long gray-brown hair cascaded about his cloaked shoulders, and Selene couldn't help but notice it.
"You ahren't the most mahnly mahn out there, ahre you?"
Atticus's gray eyes narrowed, and he took a threatening step toward the noble.
"You said you wouldn't touch me!" Selene stuttered, crawling backwards.
"I lied," the assassin hissed. In a lightening quick movement, he grasped her arm and pulled her to her feet. With his free hand, his slender fingers grasped her shoulder, knowing that he had wounded her there in the earlier battle.
Selene cried out in pain, her hand clutching his wrist. "No, please!"
The assassin hesitated, his grip on her now bleeding shoulder loosening.
"I didn't mean it!" the woman said, tears in her green eyes.
When Atticus let her go, Selene stumbed backward and sat on the edge of the bed, her teeth grit against the pain. "You sure know how to treat a lady," she sobbed.
She felt his gaze on her, his threatening glare. He fed on her fear; smelled it, was drawn to it. Selene raised her eyes to his, frowning at her enemy. "If you're not here to kill me or get me out of this wretched room, then please leave me be."
The half-elf stepped backward, and left the room as silently as he had come. The woman stared at the door as the lock slid back into place, and she let her head sink to her chest. She would never leave this place. It was her tomb, her grave.
Laying back onto the blankets, Selene closed her eyes, willing herself to drift into sleep. Her shoulder throbbed, but she had no idea what to do about it. She had never learned to clean or dress a wound, and the noble had never even had a wound like this one. With thoughts of fear and worry swirling through her head, Selene dropped into unconsciousness.
Atticus slid back into his room, careful not to disturb Areyse. Laying back in his bed, the half-elf glared at the ceiling. The woman was fine; he could sleep now. Not that the assassin cared about Selene's well-being, but he had wondered what condition she was in.
With a sigh, he let his gray eyes close, leaving his cloak wrapped about his shoulders. He would have to go back to Cain come morning . . . if the guild leader didn't come to him first.

Daeman goes up to the door that leads to Atticus' room. Her silver blonde hair flowed down her back but it was up in a pony tail. Her green blue eyes watched the door as she waited for him to awaken. She stood agains the wall in her usual outfit of an assassin with green wrist bands and a black shirt that opened in the front to reveal her stomach. She didnt have her gear on but she knew that something might happen. Her twin swords were at the side of her black pants. Her tattoo on her right shoulder of a sword connected to a flower by a vine intertwining a chain was showing. She giggled at the thought of seeing her old partner again. They hadnt worked together in ages. But now Cain was mad at him as usual but this was different. She knocked on the door half expecting for it to open and have a knife in her face while she was pressed against a wall but well see how that goes. She watches closely then answers. "Atticus its me your old partner. What have you gotten yourself into now?"

"Atticus, it's me, your old partner."
The half-elf got out of bed slowly, glancing over to Areyse. Opening the door a crack, the assassin blinked slowly. "Dae." His face was clear of expression - typical of Atticus.
He looked her over once, his gray eyes narrowing. "It's been a while," he said quietly. It had been at least a few months since the two assassins had worked together. They had been a good team, working swiftly and silently . . . Atticus called himself back from the memories.
"What brings you to my door?"

"Thought you might want some help with those wounds. You never seemed to like getting them taken care of by yourself." She walks into his room careful not to step on the Drow sleeping on the floor. She looked at his wounds. "What did you do this time? You didnt attack him did you?" They both had trained together for so long and always got in trouble together. This was a change. He had attacked without her around. She looked at him. She took him to his bed as she brought out his sewing kit and then the needle. She threaded it.

It seemed strange that the woman would just barge into the room like she did; caring about his wounds made Atticus frown. But the assassin did just as he always did: let his cloak fall from his shoulders, and slipped his tunic over his head. Even with the help from Areyse and Dae, there were still many scars and old wounds that hadn't completely healed up. It was something that the half-elf grew accustomed to - pain kept you on your toes, made you more aware. Cain was constantly reminding him of that.
With a grunt, Atticus responded to the woman's question. "I didn't attack him," he whispered, "I just failed to follow his orders down to the last detail." Looking over at her, he narrowed his eyes. "And I brought someone into the guild without permission. A woman."

At his frown from her barging in. "you should be use to this by now." She started stitching up some of the wounds on his back looking at all the wounds when the cloak and tunic came off. "Jesus he really beat you like a dog. You might as well have attacked him for what your wounds look like. Wait a second, You brought someone into the guild? Who was it? Is pretty?" She looked at him knowing he would use his assassin skills to try to hide from her but she knew she could help him at least sleep tonight. "Oh i forgot. I brought my ointment thatll take the pain away."

"She's just a noble," Atticus snarled under his breath, gritting his teeth. He ignored her comments about attacking Cain . . . she knew the answer. The half-elf would never strike the guild master. Not yet.
Amidst her stitching, the assassin rolled his shoulders and flexed his back. He hated this part of the pained process; healing consisted of being stitched and bandaged. It was a waste of time and effort if it was directed at him, and yet everyone was always pushing him to heal quickly. What was the point if they would only be reopened in the morning, which was only a few hours away?
"This is pointless," the assassin grumbled, moving away from Dae.

The assassin sighed, and looked up at Dae.
When did she change so much? His gray eyes surveyed her armor, her markings. Her face seemed the same, but her hair was longer. Atticus looked back to the floor.
"The noble is . . . like a noble."

Areyse was lying in bed peacefully when Atticus had left the room and returned a few minutes later. The drow figured he had went to check on the noble woman whom he had so willingly brought to the guild with them. Not long after his partner reached his bed a familiar female entered the room. Her voice was caring towards Atticus and this was no surprise since she had been his partner before the silver haired Areyse was. He finally sat up since he couldn't sleep with all the grumbling and talking going on, "Well it's nice to see you again Daeman."

Help me convince this numb brain he really does need to heal or hell be weakened quite significantly." She knew he wouldnt do it. She looked back at Atticus. "If you dont want to heal before he gets to you your wasting your breath. He might not even come for you. Or he could come and kick you ripped up hynie straight out of here." She always was concerned for him and forgot that she had never showed it. She looks away a little embarressed. She never showed her feelings to him. She shouldnt even have feelings but couldnt help it. She took the jar and put it on his dresser. She looks back at him as she goes back towards the bed.

The assassin grunted when Dae smacked the back of his head, and he glared at the woman.
With a sigh, Atticus snagged his cloak off of the floor and tossed it over to the bed. "I'm glad the two of you know each other." His frown deepened, and the half-elf leaned back against the low dresser against the wall. "Is there any other topic either of you wish to discuss now that we've all gathered here?"

When he asked the question he thought silently to himself for a moment. With a frown in his direction, Rae crossed her arms. She knew when it was and when it wasn’t a good time to cause trouble. She also knew that this mission wasn’t a good time to go causing trouble. She didn’t need some old man telling this like she was five years old.
Grabbing a nearby chair, she dragged it over with a wood on wood screech, and swung it around. Sitting in it with a solid thump sound, she rested her chin on her hands, which were resting on the table. Her bright red hair fell around her face as she looked at the others at the table. She had known that she was eavesdropping. But she was waiting for something that was coming, and it still wasn’t here yet. She figured that she would just bide her time before it came, and see what came of it.
“Just because you have issues getting help with something because you are too much of a pussy doing it yourself, does not mean that you need to go and name call to others that you don’t even know yet.” Turning her attention to the noble, she smiled at him. “Now, Sir. If you are still willing for my help, I would be happy to assist you. But if you agree with… them, then I shall depart.” She wrinkled her nose the tiniest bit as she spoke.
Sighing inwardly, she couldn’t help but detest her age sometimes. It was definitely one of those times. It made it so much harder for her to be able to do anything at all when she was so young. People that saw her always thought that she would just get in the way before she would be of use. With a shrug, Rae stood up, making the chair rock a little bit. Turning her back towards the table, she snorted.
“If you seriously don’t want this girl’s help, then I will leave. Because it seems as though some people at the table are too judging of appearances when it comes to people. And seriously? You seriously think that I would be stupid, and unintelligent enough to go and do something stupid on a mission? Please. Don’t make me laugh.”
