It wasn't too long ago that the civil rights battles between Humans and Nekos finally came to an agreement. Nekos would have access to the same jobs and opportunities as Humans, and the Humans could not discriminate upon the Cat peoples. But just because these laws were passed didn't mean a lot of people agreed with them.

In a small suburban neighborhood where only Humans have lived for years, a young Neko is about to crash their homelife, and just might make a friend too.


That morning was nothing like Gavyn McDavidson's usual morning routine. The tall cross-country runner typically awoke at five am to jog his usual three miles before returning to the small single story ranch house for breakfast and a quick shower. After washing his cropped short ebony hair and wiping down his body, the young adult sat in the living room and finished his homework before heading off to classes.

However, when Gavyn stepped outside his house that Thursday morning, he locked himself out of his house, having to break in the back window to get inside. The water for the shower never got hot and he was out of milk for any cold cereal. His essay due was conviently lost somewhere on his harddrive and was unretrievable. So when he left for school, Gavyn pretty much expected his world to go to hell.

Seeing the moving truck just across the street clinched it for him. "Ah hell."
