Cute art xD And that pixel is adorable !
The renders are pretty neat, although I like the character sheet art better. Something about the roundness of the chins of most of the characters, as adult-proportioned figures, I don't feel it looks right. I'm very curious to see their 3D models though. - always am.
Now about that gunslinger - Her outfit doesn't really feel functional for her class? It looks very dressy, where as most gunslingers are portrayed to wear tighter fitting clothes, be it pants, shorts, short skirt and the likes. This character really screams out priest to me. Assassin looks great. The most successful one in my opinion. The swordsman looks like he works, though his outfit calls out thief to me. Assuming that the first two are heros, I think they also work really well.
What engine are you using btw? My school just started using the Unity 3D engine for the game design program. Neat engine, but the lighting bugs me, cause it makes everything look shiny.
Beforehand, we used Unreal.

Monsters are real cute. I like the design especially for that rock monster. Maybe it's the texture that just really attracted me. The ice lady's neat too.

Good luck with the assignment. Gotta get some small things done along similar lines myself. Wont have team production yet till this summer though.

Awesome designs! :O
All of them are very original. Very creative! I would definitely get a video game with artwork like that in it. Well done!

I love the concept art XD it really makes me want to play the game although I don't even know the story. Interesting and creative monsters and beautiful costumes. The background could fit better with the characters, they dont seem to be the same style, but I absolutely LOVE it all ^_^

I like this, pretty awesome stuff here. In a way it reminds me of Dark Cloud, but I loved that game it was very addicting.

Though I do agree the gunslinger could be tweaked just a little more, I think its her costume that looks too... Uh... Fluufy. Otherwise awesome job!

Sorry for not replying, I've been busy working on my other piece of art.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, they will be very helpful to me in the future.

I might not be working on this project that much now, since I already handed it in. But I might and in bits and pieces from time to time. Who knows, it might be good enough to be made into a game someday^^

Those are a good start for a character design. It can see lot of room for improvement though. The charcters which you had came up with all have the same basic feeling to them, The next time you wanna make up some Game sprites, Try and made some really cute, Some sexy, Some mean looking and some just plain strange. If you look at any video game out there, or for that matter Anime or manga, IN one story there can be Many diffrent looking characters. The best example I can come up with is Final Fantasy. I those games the character look all different and it brings a depth of realized to the game.
